The preference of lipase (EC 3.1.1.3) from Rhizomucor miehei in the incorporation of 11 FA, ranging from C10∶0 to C22∶6, into coconut oil TAG during acidolysis was studied by applying
the Plackett-Burman experimental design. Enzymatic acidolysis reactions were carried out in hexane at 37°C for 48 h with coconut
oil (0.1 M) and a mixture of 11 FA at a TAG to FA molar ratio of 1∶1. Lipase was used at the 5 wt% level. The incorporation
of FA into coconut oil TAG was determined by GC. The lipase showed preference for long-chain saturated FA for incorporation
into coconut oil TAG. The FA with 18 carbon atoms showed a high incorporation rate (18∶1>18∶1>18∶3). The lipase showed the
least preference for the incorporation of 12∶0, which occurs in maximal concentration (46%), whereas the most preferred FA,
18∶0, occurs at a very low concentration (<2%) in coconut oil. The overall preference of lipase for the incorporation of different
FA into coconut oil TAG was 18∶0>18∶2, 22∶0>18∶1, 18∶3, 14∶0, 20∶4, 22∶6>16∶0>12∶0≫10∶0. 相似文献

The superconducting properties of Nb2PdS5 superconductor have been investigated with Ni doping at Pd site All the bulk polycrystalline Nb2Pd1?xNix S 5 (0 = x ≤ 0.10) samples are crystallized in singlephase monoclinic structure. The electrical resistivity and magnetic measurements of Nb2Pd1?xNix S 5 (0 = x ≤ 0.15) were carried out to study the variation of superconducting critical parameters with Ni doping. Superconductivity in Nb2PdS5 sample completely disappears for x ≥ 0.15. We observed that the ratio of upper critical field to transition temperature decreases with increasing Ni concentration. Also, the magnetization study of Nb2Pd1?xNix S 5 (0 = x ≤ 0.15) samples shows similar superconducting behaviour. In summary, the superconductivity in Nb2PdS5 sample is slightly varying with partial doping of Ni at Pd site in Nb2PdS5 superconductor. 相似文献

A dynamical model is proposed to study self-diffusion coefficient by confining the fluid in rectangular nanotube. The theoretical model is based on the consideration that the confinement affects the movement at atomic level. The model predicts that the diffusion parallel to walls of channel is different from that of diffusion perpendicular to the walls. Near the walls the dynamics of fluid has been found to slow down to an extent that below a certain value of ratio of width to the diameter of particle, the molecules behave as if these belong to solid. The results are contrasted with the result obtained from the model based on similar considerations for a fluid confined only in one direction. It is found that tendency of freezing near the wall increases due to confinement from second direction. Empirical relation which governs the behavior of diffusion coefficient as function of distance from the confining walls has also been proposed. The effect of confinement is more pronounced for denser fluids than for dilute fluid. 相似文献

‘Selfie’, the Oxford Dictionary’s word of the year in 2013, has been gaining popularity as a global phenomenon and its usage is growing with technological advancements in front-facing cameras and photo-editing software. Earlier studies hold a lopsided view of either criticising selfies as ‘vain’ and ‘narcissist’ or appreciate them as ‘feel good’ for ‘positive identity formation’. The current study intends to take a fresh look at the act and explores reasons and motivators of young college students in India, as they take selfies and traces the usage pattern and its likely relationship with the motivators of selfie-taking. Qualitative data were gathered through a focused group discussion conducted among graduate students with an average of 23.5 years who volunteered to participate in the discussion. Results show that male and female students have varying reasons for taking selfies and it is often an act of fun and assertion of one’s right to ‘self-depiction’. Selfies have a life-cycle which ends after they receive reviews on the social media platform. Results from the study can aid policy-makers in India and theoretically add to the nascent field of literature in the area. 相似文献

We study a variant of an abstract scheduling problem inspired by the management of reclaimers in the stockyard of a coal export terminal. We prove NP-completeness of the problem and formulate it as a mixed-integer program. We show that for a given reclaiming sequence, the problem can be solved in pseudo-polynomial time. In addition, we provide simple, constant-factor approximation algorithms as well as exact branch-and-bound algorithms. It also discusses various routes to obtain tailormade hydrogels by polymerizing a combination of two or more monomers with proper type of crosslinks in order to obtain desired properties in the resulting hydrogel. Triglycerides from coconut oil contain high levels of lauric acid. They were replaced by incremental amounts of stearic acid by interesterification reactions catalyzed by immobilized lipase (IM 60 from Rhizomucor miehei). The reactions were carried out in organic solvents such as hexane. Maximum incorporation of stearic acid was observed by 4 h at 37vv°C or by 2 h at 60vv°C when triglycerides to fatty acid (stearic acid) ratio was maintained at 1v:Ң. The stearic acid level in coconut oil triglycerides was increased from an initial value of 2% to 60% under these conditions. The stearic acid replaced lauric, myristic, and palmitic acids in unmodified triglycerides. A major portion of stearic acid incorporated was found in positions 1 and 3 of triglycerides. Differential scanning calorimetry indicated that stearic acid enrichment increased the solid fat content and also the higher melting polymorphs in modified lipids. The studies also indicated that low melting polymorphic forms of coconut oil triglycerides are converted to higher melting forms by stearic acid enrichment. The modified lipids thus obtained can find use in various food applications. 相似文献
