Crowded motions refer to multiple objects moving around and interacting such as crowds, pedestrians and etc. We capture crowded scenes using a depth scanner at video frame rates. Thus, our input is a set of depth frames which sample the scene over time. Processing such data is challenging as it is highly unorganized, with large spatio‐temporal holes due to many occlusions. As no correspondence is given, locally tracking 3D points across frames is hard due to noise and missing regions. Furthermore global segmentation and motion completion in presence of large occlusions is ambiguous and hard to predict. Our algorithm utilizes Gestalt principles of common fate and good continuity to compute motion tracking and completion respectively. Our technique does not assume any pre‐given markers or motion template priors. Our key‐idea is to reduce the motion completion problem to a 1D curve fitting and matching problem which can be solved efficiently using a global optimization scheme. We demonstrate our segmentation and completion method on a variety of synthetic and real world crowded scanned scenes.  相似文献

Felix 01 (F01) is a bacteriophage originally isolated by Felix and Callow which lyses almost all Salmonella strains and has been widely used as a diagnostic test for this genus. Molecular information about this phage is entirely lacking. In the present study, the DNA of the phage was found to be a double-stranded linear molecule of about 80 kb. 11.5 kb has been sequenced and in this region A + T content is 60%. There are relatively few restriction endonuclease cleavage sites in the native genome and clones show this is due to their absence rather than modification. A restriction map of the genome has been constructed. The ends of the molecule cannot be ligated although they contain 5' phosphates. At least 60% of the genome must encode proteins. In the sequenced portion, many open reading frames exist and these are tightly packed together. These have been examined for homology to published proteins but only 1 to 17 shows similarity to known proteins. F01 is therefore the prototype of a new phage family. On the basis of restriction sites, codon usage and the distribution of nonsense codons in the unused reading frames, a strong case can be made for natural selection that reacts to mRNA structure and function.  相似文献

2H Double quantum-filtered (DQF) NMR spectroscopy of deuterated water is sensitive to the presence of order in biological systems. This is because the only nuclei that are detected are those with residual quadrupolar interactions due to their anisotropic motion. In the present study, samples of aorta, coronary and carotid arteries, and vena cava were studied in parallel by 2H DQF NMR and by light microscopy. The average quadrupolar splitting, calculated from the NMR data, varies considerably among the different blood vessels, with high reproducibility for each type of vessel. Polarization microscopy examinations using collagen-specific staining with picrosirius red, have shown a variety of color profiles for the different blood vessels. These reflect different physical modes of aggregation (packing and thickness) of collagen fibers. A correlation was found between the NMR parameters and the color profiles of the picrosirius red-stained sections. Treating the blood vessels with 90% formic acid resulted in the elimination of the 2H DQF NMR signal. Histological analysis demonstrated a complete degradation of collagen and muscle, whereas the elastin filaments were preserved. Evidence is given that the 2H DQF NMR signal is dominated by the contribution of water molecules interacting with the collagen fibers.  相似文献

Using participant-observation and discourse analysis, this study explores the communication occurring on the Breast Cancer List, an on-line discussion group which continues to grow in membership and activity. Issues discussed include the evolution of the List, who participates, what topics are discussed. Three major dimensions are identified: exchange of information, social support, and personal empowerment. Social support via computer is compared with face-to-face groups. Empowerment centers on enhanced decision-making and preparation for new illness-related experiences. The influence of gender is considered in terms of communicative style and limitations of access. It is concluded that the List fulfills the functions of a community, with future concerns about information control and the potential to enhance patient-provider understanding.  相似文献

With the growing popularity of 3D printing, different shape classes such as fibers and hair have been shown, driving research toward class‐specific solutions. Among them, 3D trees are an important class, consisting of unique structures, characteristics and botanical features. Nevertheless, trees are an especially challenging case for 3D manufacturing. They typically consist of non‐volumetric patch leaves, an extreme amount of small detail often below printable resolution and are often physically weak to be self‐sustainable. We introduce a novel 3D tree printability method which optimizes trees through a set of geometry modifications for manufacturing purposes. Our key idea is to formulate tree modifications as a minimal constrained set which accounts for the visual appearance of the model and its structural soundness. To handle non‐printable fine details, our method modifies the tree shape by gradually abstracting details of visible parts while reducing details of non‐visible parts. To guarantee structural soundness and to increase strength and stability, our algorithm incorporates a physical analysis and adjusts the tree topology and geometry accordingly while adhering to allometric rules. Our results show a variety of tree species with different complexity that are physically sound and correctly printed within reasonable time. The printed trees are correct in terms of their allometry and of high visual quality, which makes them suitable for various applications in the realm of outdoor design, modeling and manufacturing.  相似文献

为了快速生成大量与输入风格一致的三维建筑模型,提出一种针对非规则三维建筑模型的保结构交互式变形技术.该技术以一般的三维网格模型作为输入,经过若干预处理操作形成带标记的包围盒层次结构,以此作为变形操作的分析基础.变形算法的核心思想是将原始的复杂结构分解为一组一维的结构序列,然后逐条对一维结构序列施加变形操作.在对一维结构序列的变形过程中尽可能以可重复的元素来填充变形空间,实现对输入结构特点的保持.实验结果表明,该技术可用于各种不同风格的建筑模型.  相似文献
