A technique for measuring the charges of relativistic nuclei in thick emulsion layers irradiated in a longitudinal direction is described. This technique has been implemented on the PAVICOM completely automated facility at the Lebedev Physical Institute. The calibration curves for relativistic nuclei with Z > 3 are presented. The advantages of this technique are demonstrated using charge measurements of 28Si nuclear fragments as an example. 相似文献

Immunoreactivity of sera obtained in 1996 from HIV-1-infected intravenous narcomaniacs from an epidemic focus in Gomel region, Belarus, is studied with a panel of 10-16-component synthetic peptides simulating apical epitope of surface glycoprotein gp120 V3 loop of HIV-1 variants. Comparative analysis of resultant spectra with representative immunoreactivity spectra of sera from a sampling of HIV-1-positive sera collected in 1986-1997 in different regions of the former USSR demonstrated a high homogeneity of immunoreactivity spectra of sera from Gomel region. Serotypes of HIV-1 A/C variants circulating in populations of intravenous narcomaniacs in the focus in Gomel region in 1996 and in Southern and South-Eastern Ukraine in 1995-1996 are similar. This confirms a previous conclusion about the prevalence of A/C serotype among intravenous narcomaniacs in the former USSR. 相似文献

This article reviews the existing knowledge base concerning the biology of spinal fusion, with the understanding that the focus is weighted toward posterolateral lumbar spinal fusion because of a relative paucity of biologic information on healing of other types of fusions. The discussion focuses first on the basic science of spinal fusion healing from the standpoint of animal modeling. Next, the discussion centers on the multitude of local factors that can affect fusion healing. Finally, the numerous systemic factors known to affect fusion healing are discussed. 相似文献

Effects of 7-min cardiac arrest and individual behavior on free radical-mediated processes and nitric oxide synthase (NOS) activity was evaluated in brains of male Wistar rats one hour and one week after resuscitation. "Emotional resonance" test was used for the behavioral selection of rats. The test includes factors of significance for rats: the choice between large and lighted or small and dark space as well as signals of pain of another rat. Free radical generation (using chemiluminescence method), superoxide scavenging/generating activity, substances reacting with 2-thiobarbituric acid and NOS activity (by measuring mononitrosyl iron complex of NO with diethyl dithiocarbamate and endogenous brain Fe2+ by electron spin resonance spectroscopy) were determined in cerebral cortex, cerebellum and hippocampus. Cardiac arrest induced oxidative stress accompanied by the loss of NOS activity, as well as compensatory changes of free radical-mediated processes in cerebral cortex. Oxidative stress was also evident in cerebellum and, to a lesser extent, in hippocampus. Most of neurochemical differences between behavioral groups were induced by cardiac arrest. These differences were global, related to a specific brain region or became apparent in cerebral lateralization of biochemical indices. 相似文献

C6+ ions with energy 200 MeV/nucleon have been accumulated in the chamber of the ring magnet of the U-10 proton synchrotron used as a storage ring in the TWAC setup. A C4+ ion beam from the laser source was first accelerated in the I-3 injector up to 1.3 MeV/nucleon and in the UK booster synchrotron up to final energy with periodicity 3.5 sec. Ions have been accumulated in U-10 using the multiple charge-exchange injection scheme C4+ C6+. An increase in the ion intensity in the accumulator has been observed during several injection cycles. Experimental data on the attained parameters of the accumulated beam are presented, and the status of the optimization of the accumulation regime is discussed. 相似文献
