Nowadays in the medical field, imaging techniques such as Optical Coherence Tomography (OCT) are mainly used to identify retinal diseases. In this paper, the Central Serous Chorio Retinopathy (CSCR) image is analyzed for various stages and then compares the difference between CSCR before as well as after treatment using different application methods. The first approach, which was focused on image quality, improves medical image accuracy. An enhancement algorithm was implemented to improve the OCT image contrast and denoise purpose called Boosted Anisotropic Diffusion with an Unsharp Masking Filter (BADWUMF). The classifier used here is to figure out whether the OCT image is a CSCR case or not. 150 images are checked for this research work (75 abnormal from Optical Coherence Tomography Image Retinal Database, in-house clinical database, and 75 normal images). This article explicitly decides that the approaches suggested aid the ophthalmologist with the precise retinal analysis and hence the risk factors to be minimized. The total precision is 90 percent obtained from the Two Class Support Vector Machine (TCSVM) classifier and 93.3 percent is obtained from Shallow Neural Network with the Powell-Beale (SNNWPB) classifier using the MATLAB 2019a program.  相似文献

Real-time systems cover a wide application domain. This paper presents an efficient heuristic algorithm for enforcing the schedulability of aperiodic hard real-time tasks arriving simultaneously with precedence constraints and individual deadlines. The proposed co-synthesis algorithm integrates partitioning and non-preemptive scheduling. Reconfigurable FPGAs are incrementally added when schedulability suffers in a uniprocessor system. Initially, a schedule that minimizes the maximum lateness and satisfies the precedence constraints is made. If individual timing constraints are not met in this schedule, some tasks are selected and transferred to dynamically reconfigured FPGAs. The proposed algorithm was implemented and tested with a large number of task graphs with task size as high as 700 nodes. The algorithm could not only achieve schedulability but also could reduce the total completion time of the task graph. Moreover, incremental addition of reconfigurable FPGAs yielded a cost effective solution.  相似文献

Nickel electroplating was applied to A356.2 aluminum alloy and its composites for improving its corrosion resistance. The corrosion resistance of the A356.2 and composites reinforced with rice husk ash particulates was evaluated by potentio-dynamic polarization tests in aerated 3.5% NaCl solution. Composites were fabricated by using the liquid state processing technique. Scanning electron microscopy, energy dispersive spectroscopy, techniques were used for surface analysis of the coatings before the corrosion tests and optical microscope was used to study the surface morphology of the uncoated and coated specimens after polarization tests. Results demonstrated that the nickel coated specimens exhibited higher corrosion resistance than the uncoated specimens. However, it was noticed that there was no significant change in the corrosion resistance for the nickel plated composites.  相似文献

Oral cancer is the most common form of head and neck squamous cell carcinoma (HNSCC) and most frequently presents as oral squamous cell carcinoma (OSCC), which is associated with an alarmingly high mortality rate. Internationally, a plethora of research to further our understanding of the molecular pathways related to oral cancer is performed. This research is of value for early diagnosis, prognosis, and the investigation of new drugs that can ameliorate the harmful effects of oral cancer and provide optimal patient outcomes with minimal long-term complications. Two pathways on which the progression of OSCC depends on are those of proliferation and apoptosis, which overlap at many junctions. Herein, we aim to review these pathways and factors related to OSCC progression. Publicly available search engines, PubMed and Google Scholar, were used with the following keywords to identify relevant literature: oral cancer, proliferation, proliferation factors, genes, mutations, and tumor suppressor. We anticipate that the use of information provided through this review will further progress translational cancer research work in the field of oral cancer.  相似文献

Finite State Machines (FSMs) are used in diverse areas to model hardware and software systems. Verification of FSMs is essential to ensure reliability of systems. To verify that a machine is in an expected state in testing, Unique Input/Output (UIO) sequences are used. The aforementioned testing methodology requires that each state in the FSM has an UIO. However, it is possible for a given machine that few or even none of its states have an UIO sequence. This paper presents a guided heuristic algorithm for synthesizing FSMs such that each state has an UIO sequence. The states of an FSM with identical I/O labels on transitions are grouped in order to identify the states which do not possess UIO sequence. The transitions are then augmented by adding extra output terminals incrementally so that new UIO sequences are created for the states. A greedy approach is used to optimize the number of added outputs. Initially, the transitions which lead to state convergence (i.e., transitions with identical input/output labels taking a set of states to the same next state) and constrained self-loop (i.e., transitions taking a set of states either to itself or leads to state convergence) are identified since a state with only these transitions will never have a UIO sequence. Extra output terminals are added to the FSM which are used only while testing and the augmented output labels make sure that the states are neither convergent nor has constrained self-loop, thereby ensuring UIO sequence. The proposed algorithm, referred to as AUGP, was tested with a large number of FSMs including the Microelectronics Center of North Carolina (MCNC) FSM benchmarks. The augmented state transition table was used as input to a UIO computation algorithm (developed by the same authors [Ahmad I, et al. IEE Proc Comput Digital Tech 2004;151(2):131]) to check the performance of the augmentation algorithm and the tested FSMs were found to possess UIO sequence for all states.  相似文献

The role of the mental health professional in a prison setting has changed to reflect the prevailing ideology of the correctional administration that deemphasizes treatment and emphasizes security and custodial concerns. As a consequence, mental health professionals who work in corrections have experienced unique ethical and professional conflicts. Standards were developed to address the conflicts and provide guidelines for professional conduct, but dilemmas continue to exist. The authors indicate this can be attributed to (1) the standards being vague and (2) correctional personnel not understanding or supporting the standards or the psychologist's role as a mental health professional. This article examines these propositions in more detail, using vignettes and discussion, and offers other approaches to resolving the dilemmas and improving the delivery of mental health services to incarcerated individuals. This paper describes a 12.5 Gbps voltage mode transmitter with a high speed signal conditioning capability. Using a linear equalizer that is followed by a power efficient output stage, the transmitter achieves pre-emphasis at very low power consumption. In measurements, the transmitter can reliably transmit a 12.5 Gbps PRBS7 signal through a lossy 14 in. FR4 stripline commonly used in backplanes. It achieves a peak to peak jitter of 24 ps, a differential eye opening amplitude of 120 mV, and a maximum common mode ripple of 40 mV. The proposed topology consumes 33 mW at-speed power which includes both the output stage and the linear equalizer. It also passes 8KV HBM ESD testing without compromising the high speed capability. The transmitter is fabricated in a 130 nm BiCMOS technology with 100 GHz maximum ft and packaged in a commercial leadless leadframe package.  相似文献
