The percutaneous endoscopic treatment of staghorn nephrolithiasis

Hyperferremia is shown to affect antioxidant system of the body, oxidation-reduction reactions in the cells seen as shifts in lymphocyte chemiluminescence. Dynamic changes in lymphocyte chemiluminescence reflect the level of hyperferremia.     

The significance of gastric helicobacteriosis in the genesis hemorrhage from duodenal peptic ulcer

Based on a comprehensive analysis of findings from examination and surgical treatment of 196 patients with bleeding pyloroduodenal ulcers, it was found out that patients with concurrent helicobacteriosis of the stomach are prone to more unfavourable course of their illness, which fact is evidenced by a greater loss of blood and higher risk for bleeding recurrences. A classification is proposed by the authors, taking advantage of the data from endoscopic, microscopic and immunoenzymatic techniques, with the purpose of providing an assessment of degree of severity of helicobacteriosis of the stomach.     

Prevention and treatment of posthemorrhagic disorders in surgical treatment of scoliosis

The measures of the blood loss prophylaxis and compensation, occurred at the time of 4350 surgical interventions on vertebral column conduction in 2697 patients with scoliosis, are analyzed. While performing osteoplastic fixation of vertebral column the blood loss have constituted 1200-2600 ml. The lowering of the blood loss down to 200-120 ml while conducting of complex correcting interventions was permitted by application of the governed hypotension together with general anesthesia.     

The immunomodulating action of cyclosporin A in vitro and in vivo on the lymphocytes of patients with alveolitis

The effect of various concentrations of ofloxacin, ciprofloxacin and lomefloxacin on the morphokinetic parameters of the cellular elements of the lung tissue of intact animals (mice, guinea pigs and dogs) was studied under the conditions of the tissue culture. It was shown that in a concentration of 100 micrograms/ml and the exposure time of 24 hours the drugs had no effect on the mobility and structure of the lung tissue cellular elements. When the drugs were used in a concentration of 100 micrograms/ml the mobility rate of the lymphocytes and macrophages proved to by markedly retarded by the end of the 24th hour. In a concentration of 1000 micrograms/ml the drugs killed the cell culture. There were detected no specific differences in the effect of the fluoroquinolones on the cellular elements of the lung tissue of the intact animals.     

Dynamic estimation of mental health in native and newcomer population of the Siberian North

Clinical and epidemiological studies of the population (the indigenous, the aliens, the migrants) in the Siberian North have shown it promising to develop a regional aspect of modern psychiatry and narcology. There is a high prevalence of borderline states and alcoholism among the natives and migrants. Specific features of the clinical picture of many types of borderline abnormalities have been found. The traditional criteria are of relative significance in the determination of the mental health and it is essential to revise the existing strategy of specialized psychiatric and narcological care.
