A broadband frequency doubler, based on distributed amplifier techniques, has been designed to operate from 11 to 21 GHz. In order to reject the fundamental signal over a broadband frequency range, the conventional low-pass drain line structure was replaced with the high-pass structure. This topology can suppress fundamental signals over broadband without any balanced structure so that the chip size can be more compact. Measured conversion losses of better than 10 dB from 11 to 21 GHz input frequencies are achieved with fundamental signal rejection better than 12 dB. To the best of our knowledge, this is the first demonstration of distributed doubler using the high-pass drain line topology. 相似文献

Poly(arylene ether benzonitrile) (PAEBN) was synthesized with 2,6‐dichlorobenzonitrile and biphenol. PAEBNs with various molecular weights (MWs), 1,640,000 and 185,000 g/mol, were synthesized by control of the stoichiometry of the monomers and were blended with sulfonated poly(ether ether ketone) (SPEEK). The effects of MW on the water uptake, swelling, methanol permeability, and proton conductivity of the SPEEK/PAEBN blend membranes were investigated. This paper generalizes a previous Cartesian approach for interpolating fuzzy rules comprised of membership functions with finite number of characteristic points. Instead of representing membership functions as points in Cartesian spaces, they now become elements in the space of square, integrable function. Interpolation is thus conducted between the antecedent and consequent function spaces. The generalized representation allows an extended class of membership functions satisfying two monotonicity conditions to be accommodated in the interpolation process. They include the popular bell-shaped membership functions, which were not possible before with the Cartesian representation. The work also extends the similarity triangle-based interpolation technique from the previous Cartesian representation to the new representation. Ensuing issues on computational complexity and nonunique conclusion are discussed. Other concepts such as spanning set and extensibility functions are also presented under the generalized framework. Examples to illustrate the extended approach and to compare with the Cartesian approach are given. 相似文献

BACKGROUND: Although transmission of hepatitis C virus (HCV) through parental exposure is well documented, it is still controversial whether familial clustering of HCV occurs. METHODS: To investigate risk factors for HCV infection, 109 cases and 84 non-infected controls were studied. In addition, 250 family members (104 men, 146 women) of cases and 170 family members of controls (64 men, 106 women) were tested for HCV infection using an anti-HCV antibody, alanine aminotransferase (ALT), and reverse transcribed polymerase chain reaction (RT-PCR). RESULTS: In the case-control analysis, people aged > or =60 were almost three times more likely to be infected by HCV than those aged <40. Risk of HCV infection was most strongly related to a history of blood transfusion (OR = 12.6, 95% CI: 4.3-36.5) followed by a history of jaundice (OR = 4.1, 95% CI: 1.3-12.6). Only one family member of cases and no-one related to the controls had HCV infection. CONCLUSIONS: These results suggest that, in Korea, age and parenteral exposure, such as a blood transfusion, are risk factors for HCV infection and familial clustering of HCV infection, if it occurs, is rare. 相似文献

Amphoteric water‐soluble copolymer for barium titanate slurries. I. Synthesis and dispersing ability
An amphoteric water‐soluble copolymer, polyacrylamide/[α‐N,N‐dimethyl‐N‐(3‐(β‐carboxylate)acrylamino)propyl] ammonium ethanate (PAM/DAE) was synthesized and used as a dispersion agent for BaTiO3 particles. PAM/DAE was prepared from acrylamide and [α‐N,N‐dimethyl‐N‐(3‐(β‐carboxylate)acrylamino)propyl] ammonium ethanate in a basic condition through a free‐radical polymerization. The structure of this copolymer was verified by IR and 1H‐NMR spectra. The dispersing effects of PAM/DAE were examined by measuring the viscosity and sedimentation of BaTiO3 suspensions, and by analyzing the particle size. The results indicate that this copolymer could uniformly disperse the particles, and the resulting suspensions were less viscous, more stabilized, and contained powder with smaller particle size. The dispersing/stabilizing ability of PAM/DAE is close to, or slightly better than, that of a commercial dispersant, ammonium salt of poly(methacrylic acid). © 2005 Wiley Periodicals, Inc. System Modularity has positive effects on software maintainability, reusability, and understandability. One factor that can affect system modularity is code tangling due to code clones. Code tangling can have serious cross-cutting effects on the source code and thereby affect maintainability and reusability of the code. In this research we have developed an algorithmic approach to convert code clones to aspects in order to improve modularity and aid maintainability. Firstly, we use an existing code-clone detection tool to identify code clones in a source code. Secondly, we design algorithms to convert the code clones into aspects and do aspect composition with the original source code. Thirdly, we implement a prototype based on the algorithms. Fourthly, we carry out a performance analysis on the aspects composed source code and our analysis shows that the aspect composed code performs as well as the original code and even better in terms of execution times. 相似文献
