Electrical conductivity, thermoelectric power and static dielectric constant of iron (II) molybdate have been measured in the temperature range 300 to 1000 K on pressed pellets of polycrystalline sample. It has been found that FeMoO4 is a p-type semiconductor with energy gap 4.1 eV. Different conduction mechanisms have been found below and above 700 K. Below 700 K conduction is due to a small polaron hopping mechanism and above 700 K conduction is due to large polarons as well as normal band conduction mechanism. Activation energy W, 0 (T) and charge carrier mobility have been estimated in the two temperature ranges 300 to 700 K and 700 to 1000 K. Dielectric constant increases slowly with temperature up to 700 K and above 700 K, it increases exponentially with temperature.  相似文献

Electro-chemical spark machining (ECSM) is an innovative hybrid machining process, which combines the features of the electro-chemical machining (ECM) and electrodischarge machining (EDM). Unlike ECM and EDM, ECSM is capable of machining electrically non-conducting materials. This paper attempts to develop a thermal model for the calculation of material removal rate (MRR) during ECSM. First, temperature distribution within zone of influence of single spark is obtained with the application of finite element method (FEM). The nodal temperatures are further post processed for estimating MRR. The developed FEM based thermal model is found to be in the range of accuracy with the experimental results. Further the parametric studies are carried out for different parameters like electrolyte concentration, duty factor and energy partition. The increase in MRR is found to increase with increase in electrolyte concentration due to ECSM of soda lime glass workpiece material. Also, the change in the value of MRR for soda lime glass with concentration is found to be more than that of alumina. MRR is found to increase with increase in duty factor and energy partition for both soda lime glass and alumina workpiece material.  相似文献

In this paper, a spoken query system is demonstrated which can be used to access the latest agricultural commodity prices and weather information in Kannada language using mobile phone. The spoken query system consists of Automatic Speech Recognition (ASR) models, Interactive Voice Response System (IVRS) call flow, Agricultural Marketing Network (AGMARKNET) and India Meteorological Department (IMD) databases. The ASR models are developed by using the Kaldi speech recognition toolkit. The task specific speech data is collected from the different dialect regions of Karnataka (a state in India speaks Kannada language) to develop ASR models. The web crawler is used to get the commodity price and weather information from AGMARKNET and IMD websites. The postgresql database management system is used to manage the crawled data. The 80 and 20% of validated speech data is used for system training and testing respectively. The accuracy and Word Error Rate (WER) of ASR models are highlighted and end to end spoken query system is developed for Kannada language.  相似文献

In modern industry, machinery must become increasingly flexible and automatic. In order to increase productivity, enhance quality and reduce cost, machine tools have to work free of any failure. When a failure occurs in a machine tool, it is necessary to identify the causes as early as possible. Machine tool condition monitoring is very important to achieve this goal. Condition monitoring is generally used on the critical subsystem of any machine tool. This paper endeavors to focus on the condition monitoring aspects on the machine tool element. In the present study, a critical subsystem has been identified based on the failure data analysis. Condition monitoring techniques like vibration monitoring, acoustic emission, Shock Pulse Method (SPM) and surface roughness have been successfully used for fault identification.  相似文献

In this paper a Chaucer fractal patch antenna integrated with split ring structure is simulated using Ansoft’s (HFSS), as well as fabricated and tested using VNA. The obtained results indicate that the proposed antenna resonates at 2.4 GHz in the ISM band. In addition, the structure offers multi-band operation with the fair value of return loss, gain, and bandwidth, impedance and directivity in the entire range of frequency operation.  相似文献

Purpose

Polymer Nanocomposites are advanced engineering composites with enhanced properties. These materials play a central role in various industrial sectors. The growing awareness of the key parameters (which influence the physical properties) with different combination of matrix-reinforcement, are making them more attractive in various applications. Machining of these materials is a challenging task for engineers with their properties (hardness and brittleness) due to various combinations of matrix-reinforcement. Therefore, the aim of present work is to investigate the machining behaviour of Silicon Dioxide (silica) Epoxy Nanocomposite due to straight cutting by using Wire Electrochemical Spark Cutting (WECSC) process.

Method

A specific number of experiments were conducted based on one parameter at-a-time approach to study the effect of influencing input parameters.

Result

The effect of various process parameters namely voltage supply, electrolyte concentration, wire velocity, pulse-on time and silica particle concentration (Cp) such as 3%, 4% and 5% (weight percent) on performance measures such as material removal rate (MRR) and surface roughness were demonstrated experimentally.

Conclusion

WECSC has been found effective technique for cutting of Silicon Dioxide Epoxy Nanocomposite. It is reported that MRR increases with decrease in silica particle concentration in Silicon Dioxide Epoxy Nanocomposite.

We have fabricated and characterized Yba 2 Cu 3 O 7– -Ba 2 HoSbO 6 a realized high T c superconductor - ceramic insulator composite system in which particles of the superconductor and ceramic insulator could coexist with well defined separated phases left intact by stringent processing conditions. All the composites exhibit superconductivity at 92K. EDX analysis show that element% and atomic% of the composites are in a good agreement with those of their respective components. SEM studies show homogenous surface morphology and particle size distribution. There is no detectable interface interaction between component grains and Ba 2 HoSbO 6 grains are distinguishably distributed in the Yba 2 Cu 3 O 7– matrix.  相似文献

This paper calculates the mean duration of the postpartum amenorrhoea (PPA) and examines its demographic, and socioeconomic correlates in rural north India, using data collected through 'retrospective' (last but one child) as well as 'current status' (last child) reporting of the duration of PPA. The mean duration of PPA was higher in the current status than in the retrospective data; the difference being statistically significant. However, for the same mothers who gave PPA information in both the data sets, the difference in mean duration of PPA was not statistically significant. The correlates were identical in both the data sets. The current status data were more complete in terms of the coverage, and perhaps less distorted by reporting errors caused by recall lapse. A positive relationship of the mean duration of PPA was found with longer breast-feeding, higher parity and age of mother at the birth of the child, and the survival status of the child. An inverse relationship was found with higher education of a woman, higher education of her husband and higher socioeconomic status of her household, these variables possibly acting as proxies for women's better nutritional status.  相似文献

Laser beam machining (LBM) is one of the most widely used thermal energy based non-contact type advance machining process which can be applied for almost whole range of materials. Laser beam is focussed for melting and vaporizing the unwanted material from the parent material. It is suitable for geometrically complex profile cutting and making miniature holes in sheetmetal. Among various type of lasers used for machining in industries, CO2 and Nd:YAG lasers are most established. In recent years, researchers have explored a number of ways to improve the LBM process performance by analysing the different factors that affect the quality characteristics. The experimental and theoretical studies show that process performance can be improved considerably by proper selection of laser parameters, material parameters and operating parameters. This paper reviews the research work carried out so far in the area of LBM of different materials and shapes. It reports about the experimental and theoretical studies of LBM to improve the process performance. Several modelling and optimization techniques for the determination of optimum laser beam cutting condition have been critically examined. The last part of this paper discusses the LBM developments and outlines the trend for future research.  相似文献
