Effect of Nontraditional Additives on the Processes of Silicate and Glass Formation

The results of studying the effect of nontraditional additives, namely, metallic aluminum and zinc powders on the process of silicate and glass formation using polythermal and thermogravimetric analysis, are described. Effect of S-1 heat-stabilizer on the physicomechanical properties of complex polyester yarns

Conclusions It has been shown that the use of the industrial S-1 thermostabilizer in the synthesis of polyethylene terephthalate aids in obtaining high molecular polymer with an improved thermal stability and an increased degree of crystallinity.The effect of S-1 thermostabilizer on the physicomechanical properties complex polyester yarns has been studied. Diagonal stabilization of linear multivariable systems

A new procedure is presented for the synthesis of diagonal compensators for N × N linear multivariable systems that are free of fixed modes with respect to constant diagonal output feedbacks. The synthesis procedure employs simple polynomial algebra and it is in the form of an N-step algorithm. The geometric configurations 2N- and 2^N-cells in N-space are shown to be especially suitable for visualizing diagonal feedback and aiding the application of the synthesis algorithm.     

Migration of artificial radionuclides in the water stream of the Yenisei River

The distribution of artificial radionuclides between size fractions of the suspended matter in the bulk of the water stream of the Yenisei River near the Mining and Chemical Combine discharge sites was studied. The majority of radionuclides in the region of the discharge site were found to occur in the form of soluble salts or colloids with the particle size smaller than 0.2 μm. With an increase in the distance from the discharge site, the radionuclides undergo redistribution with the formation of coarser suspended particles due to coagulation. This fact was confirmed by mathematical simulation.

A mathematical model is proposed for the residual-stress redistribution in plasma-sprayed coatings on melting.
