Creation of titanium-base high-strength high-temperature alloys is of great scientific interest. Alloy VT22 additionally alloyed with carbon or boron, or simultaneously alloyed with carbon and boron is considered, with the aim of estimating the effect of the degree of dispersity, shape, and uniformity of distribution of intermetallic phases (titanium carbides and borides) on the combination of physical and mechanical properties and the structure of titanium alloys with the intermetallic type of hardening. The test rods were fabricated by traditional (hot deformation of the ingot) and granule (hot isostatic pressing of granules hardened from the melt) methods. The granule process is shown to provide substantially finer segregations of intermetallic phases and their more uniform distribution in the structure, which results in an increase in the high-temperature and conventional strengths and in the creep resistance of the alloy.  相似文献

A standard regime of heat treatment has been developed for semifinished products of VT22 alloy manufactured by the conventional technology (casting + deformation). However, it gives a comparatively low level of crack resistance in the case of granular technology (hot isostatic pressing + deformation). In this connection it became necessary to refine the regime of heat treatment of the granulated VT22 alloy. The present work concerns the effect of different regimes of heat treatment on the size and shape of segregations of the ct-phase, investigated with the aim of improving the crack resistance characteristics of granulated VT22.  相似文献

The use of various methods of rapid hardening of melts opens wide possibilities for creating new titanium alloys strengthened by intermetallic compounds that possess elevated heat and creep resistances, strength, and other characteristics. The properties of shape-memory titanium nickelide-based alloys alloyed with niobium have been investigated for use in developing progressive technology for thermomechanical joints of pipelines and cylindrical elements of constructions of couplings fabricated from these alloys. In the process of the investigations, the elemental and phase compositions of alloys of the Ti-Ni-Nb system in the cast and pressed states have been determined; their microstructure, kinetics, and temperatures of phase transformations have been studied; the main mechanical characteristics have been determined; the thermomechanical characteristics and the effect of different types and regimes of heat treatment on them have been investigated. The results of these investigations confirmed the suitability of the alloys for use in thermomechanical joints of pipelines; couplings can be stored at temperatures of up to 40°C without a loss of deformation induced in them. By changing certain mechanical and thermomechanical characteristics of alloys of the Ti-Ni-Nb system in the cast and pressed states using different types and regimes of heat treatment, the field of employment of these materials can be expanded.  相似文献
