Recently, we introduced a concept of combinatorial chemistry to computational chemistry and proposed a new method called “combinatorial computational chemistry”, which enables us to perform a theoretical high-throughput screening of catalysts. In the present paper, we reviewed our recent application of our combinatorial computational chemistry approach to the design of new catalysts for high-quality transportation fuels. By using our combinatorial computational chemistry techniques, we succeeded to predict new catalysts for methanol synthesis and Fischer–Tropsch synthesis. Moreover, we have succeeded in the development of chemical reaction dynamics simulator based on our original tight-binding quantum chemical molecular dynamics method. This program realizes more than 5000 times acceleration compared to the regular first-principles molecular dynamics method. Electronic- and atomic-level information on the catalytic reaction dynamics at reaction temperatures significantly contributes the catalyst design and development. Hence, we also summarized our recent applications of the above quantum chemical molecular dynamics method to the clarification of the methanol synthesis dynamics in this review.  相似文献

Summary Efficient algorithms for computing the longest common subsequence (LCS for short) are discussed. O(pn) algorithm and O(p(m-p) log n) algorithm [Hirschberg 1977] seem to be best among previously known algorithms, where p is the length of an LCS and m and n are the lengths of given two strings (mn). There are many applications where the expected length of an LCS is close to m.In this paper, O(n(m-p)) algorithm is presented. When p is close to m (in other words, two given strings are similar), the algorithm presented here runs much faster than previously known algorithms.  相似文献

An ordered binary decision diagram (OBDD) is a graph representation of a Boolean function. In this paper, the size of ordered binary decision diagrams representing threshold functions is discussed. We consider two cases: the case when a variable ordering is given and the case when it is adaptively chosen. We show 1) O(2n/2) upper bound for both cases, 2) Ω(2n/2) lower bound for the former case and 3) Ω(n2n/2) lower bound for the latter case. We also show some relations between the variable ordering and the size of OBDDs representing threshold functions.  相似文献

Many studies have been conducted on the evacuation behavior on the staircases of buildings, but very little data are available for a situation with many occupants in a crowded high‐rise building. Therefore, this study investigated the evacuation behavior of a large number of evacuees on the staircase of a 25‐story high‐rise building. A total evacuation drill was conducted with 2088 evacuees, and the behavior of 1136 evacuees on the landings of the south staircase was recorded by a video recorder on the ceiling. The relationship between the density and speed of the evacuees on the landings was analyzed from the evacuation data for two situations: without and with merging in the stair flow. The evacuation stair flow in this drill had merging occupants entering from the floors, but no one entered from the lower floors during the latter period of the drill. Therefore, the flow during the latter period was treated as non‐merging flow, for which it was observed that, when the staircase was fully crowded, the density on the landings in the moving situation was different from that in the stopped situation. Moreover, the density on the landings was different from that on the treads. Furthermore, in the merging flow, a merging ratio of approximately 50:50 occurred during the congested evacuation. TiNi alloy samples implanted with various fluences of 3 MeV Cu2+ ions were characterized by transmission electron microscope (TEM) and X-ray diffractometer. Cross-sectional TEM images of the samples showed that amorphous region was seen at the fluence of 1014 ions cm?2 in case of ion implantation at 300 K of the substrate temperature, but in case of ion implantation at 100 K it did not appear even at 1015 ions cm?2. These results were also confirmed by X-ray diffraction profiles of the same samples. Consequently, the extent of microstructure change of TiNi alloy by ion implantation was different depending on the substrate temperature.  相似文献

Electromagnetic wave transmittances of plain woven fabric glass fiber reinforced epoxy matrix composite (PW-GFRP) and eight-harness-stain fabric glass fiber reinforced polyimide matrix composite (8H-GFRP) with 1.0 mm thickness were measured in a terahertz (THz) frequency range. The transmittance values for both composites are nearly zero at a frequency of 1.0 THz. The real parts of the complex dielectric constant, ε′(ω) are 4.45 and 3.87 for PW-GFRP and 8H-GFRP, respectively, in the frequency range from 0.2 to 1.0 THz, and they are almost frequency independent. Conversely, the imaginary parts of the dielectric constant, ε′′(ω) for both composites linearly increases with increase of the frequency from 0.13 to 0.37 for PW-GFRP, and from 0.12 to 0.33 for 8H-GFRP.  相似文献

Bone remodeling is a process of bone renewal accomplished by osteoclastic bone resorption and osteoblastic bone formation. These two activities are regulated by systemic hormones and by local cytokines and growth factors. Moreover, the nervous system and certain neuropeptides seem to be involved in regulation of bone remodeling. In this paper, we focus on the distribution of CGRP-containing nerve fibers and their dynamics, and discuss the role of these fibers as a possible mechanism for nervous system involvement in regulation of bone remodeling. CGRP-immunoreactive nerve fibers are widely distributed in bone tissue, such as periosteum and bone marrow, and show apparent regional distribution with different densities. They are often associated with blood vessels and show a beaded appearance. The wide distribution of CGRP-immunoreactive nerve fibers in bone tissue and the changes in distribution during bone development and regeneration suggest the involvement of these fibers in bone remodeling. The effect of CGRP on bone remodeling could partly be through its action on blood vessels, thereby regulating local blood flow. Moreover, in vitro biochemical data and the localization of CGRP-immunoreactive nerve fibers in the vicinity of bone cells suggest that they are directly involved in local regulation of bone remodeling by elevating the concentration of CGRP in the microenvironment around bone cells, especially during bone growth or repair.  相似文献

Thermotropic liquid-crystalline compounds were applied as membrane materials (membrane solvent and neutral carrier) for neutral carrier-type ion sensors to investigate how the ordered arrangement of neutral carriers affects the property of the resulting ion sensors. Nematic, smectic, and cholesteric liquid-crystalline compounds were used as the membrane solvents and crown ether derivatives with a molecular structure similar to the liquid-crystalline solvent as the K+ neutral carriers. Polarized IR spectroscopy and X-ray diffraction experiments confirmed that the highly ordered arrangement of membrane components was retained in the liquid-crystal-based ion-sensing membranes containing a neutral carrier and a lipophilic salt. The ordered arrangement of neutral carriers in the liquid-crystalline membranes enhanced the ion selectivity significantly, probably due to the efficient cooperation of two adjacent crown ether moieties in the highly ordered and aggregated state.  相似文献

The mechanical properties of Fe-13 wt% Cr-2 wt% Mo-2.5 wt% Ti alloy were examined by tensile tests with respect to its fracture mechanism. In order to improve the properties, 1 wt% Nb was added and its effects were examined. In the temperature range, room temperature to 500° C, the fracture characteristics of the alloys are mainly governed by the characteristics of the x-phase precipitation. Fracture elongation is a function of (C/r)1/2 where C is the radius of the x-phase and r is its mean spacing. 1 wt% Nb addition is an effective method for improving the ductility without a decrease in the strength of the alloy.  相似文献
