The effects of green manure, crop sequence and off-farm composts on selected soil quality parameters were assessed in a three-year organic potato (Solanum tuberosum L.) rotation in Eastern Canada. Three crop sequences varying in preceding green manure [red clover (RCl) + RCl, and beans/buckwheat or carrots + oats/peas/vetch mixture (OPV)] as main plots and four fertility treatments applied in the potato phase only [control; inorganic fertilizer; municipal solid waste compost (MSW); composted paper mill biosolid (PMB)] as subplots were compared. In 2008 and 2010, changes in selected soil quality parameters (0–15 cm) were assessed prior to planting of potatoes and at potato tuber initiation stage. Potentially mineralizable nitrogen (N) and the acid phosphatase enzyme activity average values across years were greater following RCl (1.51 abs and 622 kg ha?1) compared with OPV (1.32 abs and 414 kg ha?1) at potato planting. Soil NO3–N average value was greater following RCl compared with OPV (63 vs. 52 kg ha?1) at tuber initiation. For the other measured parameters, OPV and RCl were similar. The soil organic carbon (C) and particulate organic matter-C were greater under PMB and MSW (31.1 and 7.57 kg ha?1) compared with fertilizer treatment (27.9 and 6.05 kg ha?1). The microbial biomass C and microbial biomass quotient were greater under MSW (216 kg ha?1 and 0.73 %) than PMB and fertilizer (147 kg ha?1 and 0.50 %) across crop rotations. Annual legume green manures and off-farm composts can be used to satisfy potato N requirement and maintains soil quality in organic potato rotations.  相似文献

Modification of nuclear and cytoplasmic proteins by the addition or removal of O‐GlcNAc dynamically impacts multiple biological processes. Here, we present the development of a chemoenzymatic histology method for the detection of O‐GlcNAc in tissue specimens. We applied this method to screen murine organs, uncovering specific O‐GlcNAc distribution patterns in different tissue structures. We then utilized our histology method for O‐GlcNAc detection in human brain specimens from healthy donors and donors with Alzheimer's disease and found higher levels of O‐GlcNAc in specimens from healthy donors. We also performed an analysis using a multiple cancer tissue array, uncovering different O‐GlcNAc levels between healthy and cancerous tissues, as well as different O‐GlcNAc cellular distributions within certain tissue specimens. This chemoenzymatic histology method therefore holds great potential for revealing the biology of O‐GlcNAc in physiopathological processes.  相似文献

A proton magnetic nuclear resonance study was performed on co-condensation reactions of resorcinol, 5-methylresorcinol and 2,5-dimethylresorcinol with methylol compounds, including ortho- and para-methylolphenol, N-methylol-caprolactam, methylol-N,N-diethylurea, methylolurea and N,N′-dimethylolurea. Spectral assignments, reaction kinetics and composition of products are discussed. The reaction in melt (120°C) with methylolphenols occurs as co-condensation in the presence of all catalysts studied. In resorcinols C4C6 substitution is favored. The rate constants of methylol disappearance clearly indicate the preferable influence of acid and alkaline catalyst (not zinc acetate) on para-methylol. The reaction with N-containing methylol compound does not give any co-condensate in the presence of alkaline catalyst. The optimum conditions for co-condensation mainly depend on reactivity of co-reagents with formaldehyde and stability of methylol compound. The quantitative amount of co-condensate with methylolcaprolactam can be obtained in melt-condensation (70°C) in the presence of acid catalyst. Because of the higher reactivity of urea, the reaction in melt (100°C) in the presence of acid catalyst does not lead to quantitative co-condensation. The condensation of methylol compound or resorcinols with formaldehyde can be avoided substantially by performing the reaction in aqueous solution at lower temperature.  相似文献

A new iron-based T 1 contrast agent consisting of a complex of iron ions coordinated to phosphate and amine ligands (Fe(phos) in short) has been characterized by spectroscopic and magnetic measurements. NMR relaxation studies showed r 1 values to be dependent on the phosphate salt concentration, K2HPO4, present in the medium. r 1 reaches a maximum value of 2.5 mM?1 s?1 for measurements carried out at 7 T and 298 K. 31P MRS, Mössbauer spectroscopy and magnetic measurements of Fe(phos) solutions suggest paramagnetic Fe3+ ions present in the studied iron–phosphate complex. In vitro and in vivo toxicity experiments with C6 cells and CD1 mice, respectively, demonstrated lack of toxicity for Fe(phos) at the highest dose tested in the MRI experiments (12 mM iron for C6 cells and 0.32 mmol iron/kg for mice). Finally, T 1 weighted images of brain tumours in mice have shown positive contrast enhancement of Fe(phos) for tumour afflicted regions in the brain.  相似文献

以水、乙醇和丙酮为工质,以超轻多孔泡沫金属为毛细吸液芯构造了新型的平板热管,并对其传热性能进行了实验研究。研究了填充工质、充液比、热管放置角度及加热功率等因素对平板热管传热性能的影响。结果表明以超轻多孔泡沫金属为毛细吸液芯可以显著强化平板热管的传热能力,具有优异的均温性能,扩展了平板热管承载高热流密度的能力,可达200W/cm2以上,并减小了平板热管的热阻,热阻最小可达0.09℃/W。在3种工质中,水为最佳工质选择,且当充液比为30%时具有较好的换热效果。  相似文献

A series of ventilation, thermal and indoor air quality measurements were performed in 14 different dairy buildings in Estonia and Finland. The number of animals in the buildings varied from 30 to 600. Measurements were made all year round with ambient temperatures ranging between −40 °C and +30 °C. The results showed that microclimatic conditions in the dairy buildings were affected by the design of the building, outside temperature, wind, ventilation and manure handling method. The average inside air concentration of carbon dioxide was 950 ppm, ammonia 5 ppm, methane 48 ppm, relative humidity 70% and inside air velocity was 0.2 m/s. Although occasionally exceeded, the ventilation and average indoor air quality in the dairy buildings were mainly within the recommended limits.  相似文献

The transient response of proton exchange membrane fuel cells during start-up is an important issue for backup power systems which require a very short start-up time in order to limit the use of batteries during a blackout. The start-up procedure of a ten cells stack was studied: in the first stage the cathode channel initially filled with nitrogen was supplied with oxygen in open circuit then in the second stage it was connected to the load. The influences of the current time-profile (step or ramp), the cell voltage at the connection and the gas flow rates on the voltage variation were investigated. It was found that the voltage value during the filling of the cathode is not sufficient to determine which fraction of the cathode was filled with oxygen. In most cases, high oxygen flow rates allow reducing the start-up time of the stack. Furthermore, for fixed current density and stoichiometric coefficients it was found that a minimum start-up time exits. The analysis of transient response to current steps showed that around 70% of the maximum electrical power was available less than 2 s after the beginning of the start-up procedure.  相似文献

The synthesis of a dimeric derivative of Gd-AAZTA is reported. It retains the basic properties of the parent complex (q = 2, high stability) and displays a relaxivity of 14.0 mM?1 s?1 at 20 MHz and 298 K. The outstanding relaxivity is the result of the increased molecular reorientational time and of the contribution arising from 4 to 5 water molecules in the second coordination sphere of the Gd(III) ions.  相似文献
