A dispersion scheme for aqueous processing of manganese zinc ferrite suspensions is presented. The addition of oxalic acid leads to the formation of a uniform negative charge on the surface such that a cationic polyelectrolyte, polyethyleneimine (PEI), adsorbs and provides electrosteric dispersion. At 0.5 w/w (weight percent with respect to the dry powder) oxalic acid addition, there is a relatively uniform negative surface charge (approximately −30 mV) within the suspension pH range investigated (3–10), eliminating the isoelectric point (pH ∼7.6) present for the as-received metal oxide powder. At the addition of 0.5 w/w PEI on an oxalate-treated surface, the surface charge is constant and positive (∼20 mV) through a wide pH range, ∼5–10. The resulting rheological data for passivation–dispersion of relatively high-solids manganese zinc ferrite suspensions (∼80 wt%) demonstrate improved colloid stability with improved rheological properties. The resulting apparent viscosity and Bingham yield point is 0.01 Pa·s (12.0 cP) and 0.24 Pa (2.4 dynes/cm2), respectively. A sulfonated napthalene-based dispersant, typically used in industry, gives an apparent viscosity and Bingham yield point of 0.03 Pa·s (32 cP) and 3.1 Pa (31 dynes/cm2), respectively.  相似文献

The crystal structure and magnetotransport properties of the Nd0.70Ba0.30-MnO3.00−δ manganites have been investigated. The stoichiometric A-site ionic disordered Nd0.70Ba0.30MnO3.00 sample is orthorhombic (SG=Imma) ferromagnet below T C ≈151 K. It has metal-insulator transition at T MI ≈140 K and peak of magnetoresistance ∼50% in field of 9 kOe. The anion-deficient partly A-site ionic ordered Nd0.70Ba0.30MnO2.60 sample is ferrimagnet with T N ≈130 K and has nanometric ∼440 nm grains. The oxygen annealed stoichiometric partly A-site ordered Nd0.70Ba0.30MnO3.00 sample consists of two perovskite phases: (i) A-site ionic completely ordered tetragonal (SG=P4/mmm) NdBaMn2.00O6.00 with a Curie point of ∼310 K and (ii) superstoichiometric orthorhombic (SG=Pnma) NdMnO3.00+γ with a Curie point of ∼120 K. The magnetoresistance of this sample at the room temperature is about 7% in a field of 9 kOe. Considerable changes of the magnetic properties are interpreted as due to the ordering of Nd3+ and Ba2+ cations as well as the formation of nanometric grains.   相似文献

Sinus pericranii is an anomalous extracranial vascular malformation that is in continuity with the intracranial dural venous sinuses. Five case reports, three congenital and two traumatic, are described. Clinical management, including evaluation, diagnosis, and treatment, is discussed. Awareness of this entity by plastic surgeons will allow for earlier diagnosis and appropriate surgical management, resulting in decreased risk of complications.  相似文献

Phase-pure, monodispersed, hexagonal plates of single-crystal α-alumina (∼ 2 μm wide and ∼0.5 μm thick) have been prepared via precipitation by treating an aluminum hydrous oxide precursor in 1,4-butanediol at 300°C under autogenous vapor pressure. Present work shows that KOH is the only reagent that precipitates an aluminum hydrous oxide precursor suitable to synthesize α-alumina in 1,4-butanediol solution. In contrast, the use of NaOH or NH4OH as the precipitating reagent for the precursor material does not yield the alpha phase. The solution pH at which the precursor materials are precipitated is also a critical factor for the formation of α-Al2O3. Phase-pure α-alumina powders were also only synthesized from the aluminum hydrous oxide precursors precipitated in the pH range from 10 to 10.5. The results of X-ray diffraction and scanning electron microscopy indicate that longer reaction times promote the phase transformation from the intermediate boehmite phase to α-alumina. The complete transformation from boehmite to α-alumina requires reaction times of about 12 h.  相似文献

The effect of trap design, trap color, and a mixture of isothiocyanates on the capture of Ceutorhynchus assimilis (Paykull) was studied in a series of field experiments. Unbaited yellow water traps, a yellow sticky box trap, and a yellow sticky card trap, mounted vertically, or at 45° to the vertical with the yellow card facing upwards were effective for capturing seed weevils, but a horizontal yellow sticky card trap caught few. White, green, and black traps were unattractive. During migratory periods, trap catch could be enhanced two to four times with a lure consisting of a mixture of allyl, 3-butenyl, 4-pentenyl, and 2-phenylethyl isothiocyanates, but this bait did not attract in a trap with ineffective design. The sticky card trap, mounted at 45° to the vertical and baited with the isothiocyanate mixture, may be useful for monitoring movement of C. assimilis during migratory periods. However, during the colonization phase, lures of either a mixture of isothiocyanates or of allyl isothiocyanate alone were not attractive.  相似文献

Direct Method Based Control System for an Autonomous Quadrotor   总被引:1,自引:0,他引:1  
This paper proposes a real time control algorithm for autonomous operation of a quadrotor unmanned air vehicle. The quadrotor is a small agile vehicle, which as well as being a excellent test bed for advanced control techniques could also be suitable for internal surveillance, search and rescue and remote inspection. The proposed control scheme incorporates two key aspects of autonomy; trajectory planning and trajectory following. Using the differentially-flat dynamics property of the system, the trajectory optimization is posed as a non-linear constrained optimization within the output space in the virtual domain, not explicitly related to the time domain. A suitable parameterization using a virtual argument as opposed to time is applied, which ensures initial and terminal constraint satisfaction. The speed profile is optimized independently, followed by the mapping to the time domain achieved using a speed factor. Trajectory following is achieved with a standard multi-variable control technique and a digital switch is used to re-optimize the reference trajectory in the event of infeasibility or mission change. The paper includes simulations using a full dynamic model of the quadrotor demonstrating the suitability of the proposed control scheme.  相似文献

Avoiding the catastrophic failure of a large structure demands the material’s microstructure be designed in such as a way as to render any crack present innocuous thereby raising the integrity of that structure. Structural integrity of a composite material embraces contributions from: materials science and engineering; processing science; design and fabrication technology. It combines a number of interacting factors: the criticality of the application; the accessibility for and ability to inspect vital parts and components; the intended use including load spectrum and time; the consequences of impact, fatigue, temperature and hostile environment; the nature of inherent flaws; the constituent properties of the material system utilized; and it takes into account human factors.  相似文献

A systematic study has been performed on the relationship betweenlinker length, relative orientation of variable domains, multimerizationbehaviour and antigen binding activity for single chain Fvs(scFvs) of the tumour-binding antibody B72.3. Thirteen scFvvariants with linkers comprising up to six repeats of the motifGly-Gly-Gry-Gly-Ser were studied. All these scFvs showed a tendencyto form dimers or higher molecular weight species, and thistendency decreased with increasing linker length. The dimersand higher molecular weight forms may arise from head to tailintermolecular association of VH and VL domains. For each linkerlength, scFvs with the organization VL-linker-VH showed greaterbinding activity than those with the organization VH-linker-VL.In fact, for the latter organization only the variant with a30 amino acid linker showed good binding activity, suggestingthat (0 for B72.3 the C-tenninus of VH or the N-tenninus ofVL makes a structural contribution to antigen binding, and (ii)shorter linkers interfere with this contribution. Antigen bindingstudies on scFvs should be interpreted with caution becauseof their tendency to multlmerize.
