In this investigation the effect of surface treatments on the corrosion resistance of a commercial NdFeB sintered magnet has been investigated. A solution of 10 g L 1 NaH2PO4, acidified to pH 3.8 has been used for phosphating this magnet. The corrosion resistance of the phosphated magnet was investigated in a 0.10 mol L 1 Na2SO4 solution by electrochemical impedance spectroscopy and cyclic voltammetry with rotating disc electrode. The obtained results reveal that the resistance decreases with exposure time due to the development of pores and/or defects in the conversion coating exposing the substrate to corrosive attack. The effect of tungstate incorporation into the phosphate conversion coating resulting from a phosphating treatment prior to immersion in the tungstate solution was evaluated. The proposed treatment consists of re-immersing the phosphated samples in a 0.1 mol L 1 Na2WO4 solution during 72 h at the open circuit potential (OCP). Under these conditions, the corrosion resistance of the magnet was improved and this was attributed to the formation of a protective layer due to the adsorption of tungstate anions at the metallic substrate exposed in the coating, decreasing metal dissolution.  相似文献

This paper introduces a framework that tackles the costs in area and energy consumed by methodologies like spatial or temporal redundancy with a different approach: given an algorithm, we find a transformation in which part of the computation involved is transformed into memory accesses. The precomputed data stored in memory can be protected then by applying traditional and well established ECC algorithms to provide fault tolerant hardware designs. At the same time, the transformation increases the performance of the system by reducing its execution time, which is then used by customized software-based fault tolerant techniques to protect the system without any degradation when compared to its original form. Application of this technique to key algorithms in a MP3 player, combined with a fault injection campaign, show that this approach increases fault tolerance up to 92%, without any performance degradation.  相似文献

Films of Polypyrrole/Montmorillonite (PPy/MT) clays were electropolymerized potentiostatically on aluminium alloy 1100, using sodium dodecylbenzenesulfonate (SDBS) as a dopant. Two clay species were used: Na+-Montmorillonite (MT-Na) and modified-Montmorillonite (MT-M). The characterization of the PPy/MT films performed by XRD and TEM shows that the exfoliation method employed, as well the electrochemical polymerization method used in this work, allow nanocomposite materials to be obtained. The PPy/MT films were found to have less electrical conductivity than pure PPy. The corrosion protection of aluminium alloy 1100 covering PPy/MT was evaluated by electrochemical techniques in 0.05 mol L−1 NaCl medium. The electrochemical parameters derived from the polarization curves, together with the EIS data, revealed that the corrosion resistance of PPy/clay coatings depends on the type and concentration of Montmorillonite employed. The best performance in the corrosion protection of the aluminum was achieved with PPy/MT films containing 1% of clay.  相似文献

The present work aims to investigate the corrosion behavior of AZ91 magnesium alloy treated with a 4% (v/v) methyltriethoxysilane (MTES) alcohol solution, with and without an alkaline pretreatment. The corrosion resistance was assessed by electrochemical impedance spectroscopy (EIS) and current densities were monitored by potentiodynamic polarization curves during immersion in a 0.1 M Na2SO4 solution. Scanning electron microscopy (SEM) and energy dispersive spectroscopy (EDS) were used to perform a surface analysis. The electrochemical results showed an improvement of anticorrosion properties of AZ91. Furthermore, alkaline pretreatment enhances adhesion between silane film and substrate surface. This can be attributed to a surface enrichment in hydroxyl groups after the alkaline step, which increases formation of Si–O–Mg covalent bonds. The addition of Ce(NO3)3 to the MTES bath was evaluated, and it was found that the electrochemical response depends on the cerium ions concentration used. It was shown that the addition of 6.0 × 10−5 M of Ce(NO3)3 to a MTES bath improves corrosion resistance. Higher concentration of cerium ions lead to destabilizing the siloxane network, decreasing the efficiency of the silane coatings.  相似文献

Cellulose acetate films doped with amoxicillin were deposited onto AA2024-T3 aluminum alloy and the corrosion protection in 0.05 M NaCl was evaluated by Electrochemical Impedance Spectroscopy (EIS) and the Scanning Vibrating Electrode Technique (SVET). The doping of the cellulose acetate film with amoxicillin resulted in a significant increase in the high frequency resistance and a decrease in the capacitance of the material. The protective effect could be observed under anodic polarization by way of a marked decrease in the anodic current. These results show the promising potential for the deposition of cellulose acetate films doped with amoxicillin onto AA2024-T3.  相似文献

The high processing power of GPUs makes them attractive for safety-critical applications, where transient effects are a major concern, and resilience must be enforced without compromising performance. Configurable softcore GPUs are a recent technology that allows detailed reliability assessment capable of bringing directions to the design of reliable GPU applications. This work investigates the reliability of the register files and the pipeline of a softcore GPU under radiation-induced faults. It proposes software-based fault tolerance techniques to mitigate errors. Faults are simulated at the register transfer level in four case-study algorithms, and the Architectural Vulnerability Factor (AVF) and Mean Workload to Failure (MWTF) are checked over different GPU configurations. Results indicate that software-based techniques efficiently reduce AVF. In terms of MWTF, results show that the best cases depend on an optimized balance between GPU configuration, application runtime, and AVF.

The aim of this study was to investigate the existence of a ??gender gap?? in the authorship of the four most important peer-reviewed psychiatric journals in Brazil and to quantify its magnitude. In addition, we examined the patterns of change in this gap during the period extending from 2001 to 2008 and variations according to the total number of authors, the type of article (original vs. non-original studies), and the journals themselves. A total of 1,036 articles were analyzed. We found that the proportion of female overall participation has increased from 2001 to 2008. Nevertheless, the incremental rate was accounted mostly by the growth of the participation in non-original articles. While the average annual increment for original articles was virtually null (.01%), for the non-original articles the corresponding figure was 3.7%. We also found that the chance of a woman being first author was about three times greater in original papers as compared to non-original ones at the beginning of the study period; this differential declined by 11% per year during this period. A different pattern emerged from the analysis of female last authorship. Year of publication and type of study were still associated with the chance of a woman being the last author but without interaction. Further, the journals themselves were found to be related with female last authorship: the chance of a woman being the last author in an article published in the Revista Brasileira de Psiquiatria was significantly smaller than in the other three journals. Our findings indicate clearly that some progress in being achieved in eliminating the gender gap also in field of Psychiatry and highlight the need for further research in this area.  相似文献

Mycotoxins are secondary metabolites produced by fungi that can cause adverse health effects. Due to climate change, temperatures are expected to rise and changes in rainfall patterns are foreseen. These developments may increase fungal occurrence and mycotoxin concentrations in maize. It is therefore useful to monitor mycotoxin levels in maize and record the accompanying agronomic factors and weather parameters. This paper describes a field survey in the Netherlands in which information on soil, cultivar, green manure, tillage as well as sowing, emergence, flowering and harvest dates of silage maize were collected from 148 growers. A small number of these growers (42 in total) were visited to collect maize samples revealing that 50% of the samples were contaminated with Fusarium species and mycotoxins were detected in 25% of the samples. The Fusarium species that was most commonly found was F. crookwellense followed by F. graminearum, F. culmorum, F. sporotrichiodes and F. equiseti. In total 31 mycotoxins were analysed. The predominant mycotoxins present were (sum of 3 and 15)-acetyl-DON and nivalenol; other mycotoxins found were alternariol, beauvericin, deoxynivalenol, diacetoxyscirpenol, moniliformin and zearalenone. Nivalenol was present in concentrations up to 1670?μg?kg(-1) and acetylated DON was usually present at higher concentrations than DON. Statistical analysis of the current data showed no correlation between mycotoxins present and agronomic factors recorded. Field studies as described in this paper are useful and need to be continued in the future in order to observe trends in mycotoxin occurrence.  相似文献

Hydrogen diffusivity and solubility were determined by electrochemical hydrogen permeation tests in samples of Pd0.97 Al0.03 and Pd0.97 Ce0.03 in the as received and internally oxidized conditions. Internal oxidization caused the appearance of nanosized oxide precipitates in the Pd matrix. The shape and size of precipitates and also the coherence between the precipitates and the matrix were observed by transmission electron microscopy (TEM). Electrochemical hydrogen permeation tests revealed that the presence of oxides increases the apparent hydrogen solubility, S app, but decreases the hydrogen diffusivity, D app. The values of D app were 2.0 × 10−11 m2 s−1 for vacuum heat treated Pd0.97 Al0.03 alloy and 4.0 × 10−12 m2 s−1 for internally oxidized Pd0.97 Al0.03 alloy. However, the concentration of trapped hydrogen was 49 mol H.m−3 for the Pd0.97 Al0.03 alloy in the vacuum heat treated condition and 403 mol H.m−3 for the Pd0.97 Al0.03 alloy in the internally oxidized condition. Both heat treatments were performed at 1073 K for 24 h. The influence of the nature, size and distribution of the precipitates on the hydrogen permeation parameters are discussed in this paper.  相似文献

Microstructures of poly(N-methylpyrrole) have been generated by direct electrochemical oxidation of N-methylpyrrole with poly(styrenesulfonic acid) in aqueous solution, using a micelle formation mechanism with gas bubble templates. These microstructures present a “doughnut”-like morphology with diameters ranging from 20 to 100 μm. Other anionic surfactants, such as camphorsulfonic acid and β-naphthalenesulfonic acid, have been also employed, results evidencing that the morphology of the microstructures depends on the nature of the surfactant electrolytes. The dimensions, abundance and texture of the microstructures have been modulated by varying the surfactant molecules, the electrochemical technique, and the distance between the working and counter-electrode. The generated microstructures have been characterized using electrochemical techniques, Raman and infrared spectroscopies, scanning electron microscopy and atomic force microscopy. Hollow microstructures-containing films made of poly(N-methylpyrrole)/poly(styrenesulfonic acid), which present remarkable electroactivity and electrostability, has been proved to interact with morphine molecules. Thus, systems based on this prominent material show a high ability to capture the drug molecules and to retain them for a long period of time.  相似文献
