Iron deficiency is one of the most common nutritional deficiencies worldwide, in both developing and developed regions. Although the aetiology of iron deficiency and resultant anaemia may be multifaceted, inadequate iron intakes, poor iron absorption and disease status may all be underlying causes. Whilst nutrition and supplement interventions may go some way towards improving iron status in ‘at‐risk’ populations, their efficacy can be questioned. New approaches, including food‐based strategies, may be an alternative means of improving the iron status and health of the public sectors. Economically, food‐based approaches may also be more cost‐effective than iron supplements. This paper aims to discuss how the food industry may play an important role in improving the iron status of public sectors, helping to prevent iron deficiency and need for tablet‐based iron supplements.  相似文献

The paper presents an iterative method for the computation of the near fields of single layer microstrip patch antennas. A judicious combination of the advantages of the MPIE (mixed potential integral equation) method, the FFT algorithm and the biconjugate gradient leads to an efficient numerical solution. The scheme can deal with patches of arbitrary shapes and is capable of dealing with a very large number of unknowns. Near field computation is done in a straightforward manner by computing the weighted near fields. For illustration, three patches belonging to the family of generalized annular sector have been chosen. Computed results of input impedances with a coaxial probe excitation have been compared with measurements. Computed near field amplitudes have also been compared with measured results where possible. Reduced graphene oxide (rGO) has unique properties that can revolutionize the performance of the functional devices. rGO hybrids can be designed with transition metal oxides for improved energy storage applications. Herein, a hybrid composite of conductive rGO with titanium dioxide, designed by a simple hydrothermal method, is reported to demonstrate a high double layer capacitance in aqueous electrolyte systems. The mesoporous structure of the composite provides short ion diffusion pathways and the resultant capacitance of the material is 334 F g−1 with ~77% capacitance retention after 7000 charge-discharge cycles.  相似文献

Transformation from conventional business management systems to smart digital systems is a recurrent trend in the current era. This has led to digital revolution, and in this context, the hardwired technologies in the software industry play a significant role However, from the beginning, software security remains a serious issue for all levels of stakeholders. Software vulnerabilities lead to intrusions that cause data breaches and result in disclosure of sensitive data, compromising the organizations’ reputation that translates into, financial losses as well. Most of the data breaches are financially motivated, especially in the healthcare sector. The cyber invaders continuously penetrate the E-Health data because of the high cost of the data on the dark web. Therefore, security assessment of healthcare web-based applications demands immediate intervention mechanisms to weed out the threats of cyber-attacks. The aim of this work is to provide efficient and effective healthcare web application security assessment. The study has worked with the hybrid computational model of Multi-Criteria Decision Making (MCDM) based on Analytical Hierarchy Process (AHP) and Technique for Order of Preference by Similarity to Ideal-Solutions (TOPSIS) under the Hesitant Fuzzy (HF) environment. Hesitant fuzzy sets provide effective solutions to address decision making problems where experts counter hesitation to make a decision. The proposed research endeavor will support designers and developers in identifying, selecting and prioritizing the best security attributes for web applications’ development. The empirical analysis concludes that Robustness got highest priority amongst the assessed security attributes set followed by Encryption, Authentication, Limit Access, Revoke Access, Data Validation, and Maintain Audit Trail. The results of this research endeavor depict that this proposed computational procedure would be the most conversant mechanism for determining the web application security. The study also establishes guidelines which the developers can refer for the identification and prioritization of security attributes to build more secure and trustworthy web-based applications.  相似文献

In this paper a new protocol using fuzzy logic control has been proposed. The protocol is based on Stable Election Protocol (SEP). Fuzzy logic control based on three variables, distance of nodes form base station, density of nodes and the battery level of nodes along with the traditional threshold values used in SEP are used to enhance the process of cluster head election in the existing SEP protocol and improve the lifetime and throughput of the Wireless Sensor Network. The result of the simulation which has been done in MATLAB simulator indicates that Stable Election Protocol based on fuzzy logic is more energy efficient and improves the lifetime and throughput of the network by 73.2 and 68.54 % respectively comparing with the existing SEP protocol.  相似文献

Mass storage systems (MSSs) play a key role in data‐intensive parallel computing. Most contemporary MSSs are implemented as redundant arrays of independent/inexpensive disks (RAID) in which commodity disks are tied together with proprietary controller hardware. The performance of such systems can be difficult to predict because most internal details of the controller behavior are not public. We present a systematic method for empirically evaluating MSS performance by obtaining measurements on a series of RAID configurations of increasing size and complexity. We apply this methodology to a large MSS at Ohio Supercomputer Center that has 16 input/output processors, each connected to four 8 + 1 RAID5 units and provides 128 TB of storage (of which 116.8 TB are usable when formatted). Our methodology permits storage‐system designers to evaluate empirically the performance of their systems with considerable confidence. Although we have carried out our experiments in the context of a specific system, our methodology is applicable to all large MSSs. Two‐dimensional material MXenes owing to their hydrophilic nature, surface termination, and high conductivity can be used in the energy storage device as an anode material. However, poor ion transfer and less available intercalating sites due to self‐stacking of MXene sheets prevent comprehensive utilization of their electrochemical properties. To resolve this problem, a facile method is introduced in this paper to disperse MXene sheets onto reduced graphene oxide sheets to form a porous structure by enhancing electrostatic interactions between two components, which can facilitate ion movement and provide access of ions to more intercalating sites. This hybrid material delivered a capacity of 357 mAh g?1 at 0.05 A g?1 as anode in case of lithium‐ion batteries. Furthermore, the hybrid material showed exceptional stability even after 1000 cycles at 1 A g?1. Current work offers an easy approach for the synthesis of high‐performance niobium carbide‐based hybrid energy storage materials.  相似文献

The cylindrical antenna problem has been tackled using the spectral iteration technique. An iterative scheme is employed for improving on an initially assumed form of the current distribution. Use is made of the fast Fourier transform (FFT) algorithm, and the cumbersome process of matrix inversion is circumvented. Consequently, this method is capable of handling a larger number of unknown coefficients in the expansion of the current distribution. Furthermore, it provides a convenient means of testing for the satisfaction of the boundary conditions on the surface of the antenna. Convergence criteria for the iteration process have been established and the use of an acceleration procedure is illustrated. Different types of source models have been investigated, and the convergence of both local and nonlocal parameters is also discussed.  相似文献
