Crack propagation behaviour in single edge notched specimens prepared from medium-density polyethylene (MDPE) pipe is examined under creep condition. The crack grown from an exterior notch (inbound) initiated faster than that grown from an interior notch (outbound). Subsequently, the outbound crack propagated monotonically to ultimate failure. The inbound crack showed anomalous behaviour involving two arrest stages prior to ultimate failure. The pipe is found to possess substantial residual stresses. The energy release rate for each case was calculated taking into account the respective residual stream distribution. The fact that the rates of crack propagation are not a unique function of the energy release rate indicates that the fracture is also influenced by morphological gradients imposed by processing conditions.  相似文献

A frequency-domain identification method is proposed by Bai (2003) for Wiener systems. The key component is a phase estimator that gives estimates of the linear subsystem phase for different frequencies. These estimates are then used to identify the whole system. In this note, it is shown that the phase estimator is not generally consistent. Consequently, consistency of the overall identification method is in turn not generally guaranteed.  相似文献

Hammerstein system identification is considered in presence of preload and dead zone nonlinearities. The discontinuous feature of these nonlinearities makes it difficult to get a single system parameterization involving linearly all unknown parameters (those of the linear subsystem and those of the nonlinearity). Therefore, system identification has generally been dealt with using multiple stage schemes including different parametrizations and several data acquisition experiences. However, the consistency issue has only been solved under restrictive assumptions regarding the identified system. In this paper, a new identification scheme is designed and shown to be consistent under mild assumptions.  相似文献

This paper considers the problem of controlling partially uncertain, possibly unstable and non-minimum phase linear plants submitted to a control saturation constraint. It seeks both plant l-stabilization and output tracking. It proposes a direct adaptive controller and shows that if the closed loop poles are placed in a specific region, then the desired stability and tracking objectives are achieved.  相似文献

In this paper, we deal with a pre-processing based on speech envelope modulation for intelligibility enhancement in reverberant large dimension public enclosed spaces. In fact, the blurring effect due to reverberation alters the speech perception in such conditions. This phenomenon results from the masking of consonants by the reverberated tails of the previous vowels. This is particularly accentuated for elderly persons suffering from presbycusis. The proposed pre-processing is inspired from the steady-state suppression technique which consists in the detection of the steady-state portions of speech and the multiplication of their waveforms with an attenuation coefficient in order to decrease their masking effect. While the steady-state suppression technique is performed in the frequency domain, the pre-processing described in this paper is rather performed in the temporal domain. Its key novelty consists in the detection of the speech voiced segments using a priori knowledge about the distributions of the powers and the durations of voiced and unvoiced phonemes. The performances of this pre-processing are evaluated with an objective criterion and with subjective listening tests involving normal hearing persons and using a set of nonsense Vowel–Consonant–Vowel syllables and railway station vocal announcements.  相似文献

In this paper results of tests conducted on 27 concrete-filled steel tubular columns are reported. The test parameters were the column slenderness, the load eccentricity covering axially and eccentrically loaded columns with single or double curvature bending and the compressive strength of the concrete core. The test results demonstrate the influence of these parameters on the strength and behaviour of concrete-filled steel tubular columns. A comparison of experimental failure loads with the predicted failure loads in accordance with the method described in Eurocode 4 Part 1.1 showed good agreement for axially and eccentrically loaded columns with single curvature bending whereas for columns with double curvature bending the Eurocode loads were higher and on the unsafe side. More tests are needed for the case of double curvature bending.  相似文献

This paper presents a new control method entitled direct power control (DPC) for shunt active power filter (APF), which is applied to eliminate line current harmonics and compensate reactive power. Its main goal is to rebuild active and reactive source powers to be compared to references values using hysteresis control. The active power reference is issue of DC-side of inverter and reactive power reference is set to zero for unity power factor. The outputs of hysteresis controllers associated with a switching table, control the instantaneous active and reactive power by selecting the optimum switching state of the voltage source inverter (VSI). A theoretical analysis with a complete simulation of the system and experimental results are presented to prove the excellent performance of the proposed technique.  相似文献
