Small interfering RNA (siRNA) is an attractive therapeutic candidate for sequencespecific gene silencing to treat incurable diseases using small molecule drugs.However,its efficient intracellular delivery has remained a challenge.Here,we have developed a highly biocompatible fluorescent carbon dot (CD),and demonstrate a functional siRNA delivery system that induces efficient gene knockdown in vitro and in vivo.We found that CD nanoparticles (NPs) enhance the cellular uptake of siRNA,via endocytosis in tumor cells,with low cytotoxicity and unexpected immune responses.Real-time study of fluorescence imaging in live cells shows that CD NPs favorably localize in cytoplasm and successfully release siRNA within 12 h.Moreover,we demonstrate that CD NP-mediated siRNA delivery significantly silences green fluorescence protein (GFP) expression and inhibits tumor growth in a breast cancer cell xenograft mouse model of tumor-specific therapy.We have developed a multi functional siRNA delivery vehicle enabling simultaneous bioimaging and efficient downregulation of gene expression,that shows excellent potential for gene therapy.  相似文献

This article presents standardization, regulation, and development issues associated with short-range wireless technologies for next-generation personal area networks (PAN). Ultra-wideband (UWB) and 60 GHz millimeter-wave communication technologies promise unprecedented short-range broadband wireless communication and are the harbingers of multigigabit wireless networks. Despite the huge potential for PAN, standardization and global spectrum regulations challenge the success of UWB. On the other hand, ZigBeetrade is expected to be a crucial short-range technology for low throughput and ultra low-power consumption networks. The current status and direction of future development of UWB, emerging 60 GHz millimeter-wave PAN, and low data rate ZigBee are described. This article also addresses wireless MAC protocol issues of 60 GHz multigigabit PAN.  相似文献

The effect of post weld heat treatment (PWHT) temperature on laser beam welds in high-entropy alloys (HEAs) using a cold-rolled cantor system (CoCrFeMnNi) was investigated. Laser welding of low heat input was applied to reduce thermal distortion. The cold-rolled HEA welds indicated larger grain size and inferior tensile/hardness properties as compared to the base metal (BM). By applying PWHT, the welds showed superior hardness to the BM with no variation in the face-centred cubic phase and a decrease in the size and fraction of CrMn oxide inclusions. As the PWHT temperature increased (800–1000°C), the variation in the grain size decreased between the weld metal and heat-affected zone, thus resulting in approximately the same tensile strength and elongation of the transverse welds as compared to the BM.  相似文献

The effect of intermolecular interaction on the distribution of the harmonic vibrational frequencies of water molecules was investigated through ab initio molecular dynamics simulations based on the Born-Oppenheimer approach. For single water, the effect of the dynamics of the oxygen atom in single water and the simulation time step on the frequency distribution were examined. The distributions of the OH stretching and HOH bending vibrational frequencies of liquid water were compared to those of single water. The probability distributions of the change in OH bond length and the lifetime of the dangling OH bond were also obtained. The distribution of the frequencies was strongly affected by the long lifetime of the dangling OH bond, resulting in the formation of hydrogen bonds between water molecules.  相似文献
