A semantic-expansion approach to personalized knowledge recommendation   总被引:2,自引:1,他引:1  
The rapid propagation of the Internet and information technologies has changed the nature of many industries. Fast response and personalized recommendations have become natural trends for all businesses. This is particularly important for content-related products and services, such as consulting, news, and knowledge management in an organization. The digital nature of their products allows for more customized delivery over the Internet. To provide personalized services, however, a complete understanding of user profile and accurate recommendation are essential.In this paper, an Internet recommendation system that allows customized content to be suggested based on the user's browsing profile is developed. The method adopts a semantic-expansion approach to build the user profile by analyzing documents previously read by the person. Once the customer profile is constructed, personalized contents can be provided by the system. An empirical study using master theses in the National Central library in Taiwan shows that the semantic-expansion approach outperforms the traditional keyword approach in catching user interests. The proper usage of this technology can increase customer satisfaction.  相似文献

In the recent decade, the importance of DNA damage repair (DDR) and its clinical application have been firmly recognized in prostate cancer (PC). For example, olaparib was just approved in May 2020 to treat metastatic castration-resistant PC with homologous recombination repair-mutated genes; however, not all patients can benefit from olaparib, and the treatment response depends on patient-specific mutations. This highlights the need to understand the detailed DDR biology further and develop DDR-based biomarkers. In this study, we establish a four-gene panel of which the expression is significantly associated with overall survival (OS) and progression-free survival (PFS) in PC patients from the TCGA-PRAD database. This panel includes DNTT, EXO1, NEIL3, and EME2 genes. Patients with higher expression of the four identified genes have significantly worse OS and PFS. This significance also exists in a multivariate Cox regression model adjusting for age, PSA, TNM stages, and Gleason scores. Moreover, the expression of the four-gene panel is highly correlated with aggressiveness based on well-known PAM50 and PCS subtyping classifiers. Using publicly available databases, we successfully validate the four-gene panel as having the potential to serve as a prognostic and predictive biomarker for PC specifically based on DDR biology.  相似文献

The double auction is an important transaction mechanism in electronic commerce. Buyers and sellers can interact and be matched with each other in a double auction e-market. Consequently, enhancing the effectiveness of the double auction market to help traders successfully complete their transactions is an important issue. In this research study, Trading Agent Competition (TAC) data were collected to examine double auction market mechanisms. The TAC is a worldwide, renowned competition in which intelligent agents are employed to simulate business/market operations, and the TAC Market Design (CAT) tournament is an individual TAC competition that focuses on the double auction market. Thus, we conducted simulation experiments on the CAT competition platform, and the transaction data were analyzed to identify the impact of market design strategies on market performance, such as market share, market profit and transaction success rate. Based on these results, we developed an expansion matching method to enhance market performance, and we conducted verification experiments to evaluate our method. The results show that our expansion matching method promotes improved performance of market policies in the double auction market.  相似文献
