The region of the genome encoding the glucose-6-phosphate dehydrogenase gene zwf was analysed in a unicellular cyanobacterium, Synechococcus sp. PCC 7942, and a filamentous, heterocystous cyanobacterium, Anabaena sp. PCC 7120. Comparison of cyanobacterial zwf sequences revealed the presence of two absolutely conserved cysteine residues which may be implicated in the light/dark control of enzyme activity. The presence in both strains of a gene fbp, encoding fructose-1,6-bisphosphatase, upstream from zwf strongly suggests that the oxidative pentose phosphate pathway in these organisms may function to completely oxidize glucose 6-phosphate to CO2. The amino acid sequence of fructose-1,6-bisphosphatase does not support the idea of its light activation by a thiol/disulfide exchange mechanism. In the case of Anabaena sp. PCC 7120, the tal gene, encoding transaldolase, lies between zwf and fbp.  相似文献

High energy consumption in the production of magnesium by molten salt electrolysis is mainly due to the recombination of magnesium and chlorine. The large interelectrode distance used, in conventional techniques, to reduce the extent of back reaction, results in a significant potential drop. A laboratory cell that enables the operation with smaller interelectrode distance and easy separation of electrode products has been used to study electrolytic magnesium production. The cell features a top inserted graphite anode and a Mg-Pb alloy cathode at the bottom. Current efficiency and power consumption were determined at 690° C using a current density of 0.48 A cm–2. Experiments were performed to study the effects of MgCl2 concentration and anode-cathode distance (a.c.d.) on cell operation. Results indicated that an electrolyte containing 20% MgCl2 (equiweight NaCl:KCl and 1 % NaF) with a 3 cm a.c.d. reduced the cell voltage to 3.72 V. This value corresponds to an energy consumption of 11.3 kWh kg–1 including the refining of Mg-Pb alloy produced at the cathode. This cell performance is more energy efficient compared to conventional magnesium cells.  相似文献

In this paper, we develop an interactive approach supporting both the buyer and the bidders in a multi-attribute, single-item, multi-round, reverse auction environment. In this study, a wheeled mobile robot navigation toolbox for Matlab is presented. The toolbox includes algorithms for 3D map design, static and dynamic path planning, point stabilization, localization, gap detection and collision avoidance. One can use the toolbox as a test platform for developing custom mobile robot navigation algorithms. The toolbox allows users to insert/remove obstacles to/from the robot’s workspace, upload/save a customized map and configure simulation parameters such as robot size, virtual sensor position, Kalman filter parameters for localization, speed controller and collision avoidance settings. It is possible to simulate data from a virtual laser imaging detection and ranging (LIDAR) sensor providing a map of the mobile robot’s immediate surroundings. Differential drive forward kinematic equations and extended Kalman filter (EKF) based localization scheme is used to determine where the robot will be located at each simulation step. The LIDAR data and the navigation process are visualized on the developed virtual reality interface. During the navigation of the robot, gap detection, dynamic path planning, collision avoidance and point stabilization procedures are implemented. Simulation results prove the efficacy of the algorithms implemented in the toolbox.  相似文献

The aim of this in vitro study was to evaluate the effects of chlorhexidine gluconate (2%), sodium hypochloride (2.5%), ozone gas, and boric acid at different concentrations (1%, 3%, 5%, and 7%) on microleakage from composite restorations.

In a total of 80 extracted human canine teeth, a class V cavity was opened on the buccal surface and the samples were separated into eight groups. In the control group, no procedure was applied for cavity disinfection, then composite restoration (Z250, 3M) was made using single-stage, self-etch adhesive (Single Bond 3M). In the other groups, seven different disinfectants were used, then the cavity was restored. The teeth were split into two in the buccolingual direction, parallel to the long axes. Stain penetration was examined under stereomicroscope and scored. Examination with SEM was made on one sample from each group, selected at random. Statistical evaluations were made using Dunnett C Post Hoc Comparison and Kruskal–Wallis H tests.

In the occlusal region evaluation, the groups with the lowest level of leakage were the 3% and 5% boric acid groups, and the highest levels of microleakage were determined in the chlorhexidine group and the 1% boric acid group. In the gingival region, the lowest level of microleakage was in the 5% boric acid group and the highest levels were determined in the 1% and 7% boric acid groups.

Boric acid disinfectants used at suitable concentrations were not seen to create a risk in respect of microleakage.  相似文献

Even though bean varieties are widely consumed all over the world, data related to how cooking methods and in vitro digestion affect bioactive compounds they contain and data related to bioavailability of polyphenols are limited. The aim of the present study was to investigate how some cooking methods and in vitro digestion influence antioxidant activity, total phenols (TP), and total flavonoids (TF) of widely consumed beans in Turkey. Soaking caused a significant decrease (25.61–38.63%) in the bioavailability of TP of dry common beans (CB). Soaking in cold water resulted in a significant decrease in TP bioavailability of dry pinto beans (PB). TF content was well retained in PB cooked without soaking but was not detected in CB after in vitro digestion. CB soaked in hot water and cooked with the addition of NaHCO3 showed the greatest inhibition effect on 2,2-diphenyl-1-picrylhydrazyl (DPPH) radical (p<0.05). In vitro digestion caused increase in the antioxidant activity of both CB and PB.  相似文献
