It is known that any dichotomy of {-1, 1}n can be learned (separated) with a higher-order neuron (polynomial function) with 2n inputs (monomials). In general, less than 2n monomials are sufficient to solve a given dichotomy. In spite of the efforts to develop algorithms for finding solutions with fewer monomials, there have been relatively fewer studies investigating maximum density (Pi(n)), the minimum number of monomials that would suffice to separate an arbitrary dichotomy of {-1, 1}n . This article derives a theoretical (upper) bound for this quantity, superseding previously known bounds. The main theorem here states that for any binary classification problem in {-1, 1}n (n > 1), one can always find a polynomial function solution with 2n -2n/4 or fewer monomials. In particular, any dichotomy of {-1, 1}n can be learned by a higher-order neuron with a fan-in of 2n -2n/4 or less. With this result, for the first time, a deterministic ratio bound independent of n is established as Pi(n)/2n < or = 0 75. The main theorem is constructive, so it provides a deterministic algorithm for achieving the theoretical result. The study presented provides the basic mathematical tools and forms the basis for further analyses that may have implications for neural computation mechanisms employed in the cerebral cortex. 相似文献

In this paper, we propose a novel solution for the adaptive streaming of 3D representations in the form of multi-view video by utilizing P2P overlay networks to assist the media delivery and minimize the bandwidth requirement at the server side. Adaptation to diverse network conditions is performed regarding the features of human perception to maximize the perceived 3D. We have performed subjective tests to characterize these features and determined the best adaptation method to achieve the highest possible perceived quality. Moreover, we provide a novel method for mapping from scalable video elementary stream to torrent-like data chunks for adaptive video streaming and provide an optimized windowing mechanism that ensures timely delivery of the content over yanl?? gibi. The rapid growth in the mobile application market presents a significant challenge to find interesting and relevant applications for users. An experimental study was conducted through the use of a specifically designed mobile application, on users’ mobile phones. The goals were; first, to learn about the users’ personality and the applications they downloaded to their mobile phones, second to recommend applications to users via notifications through the use of experimental mobile application and learn about user behavior in mobile environment. The question of how the personality features of users affect their compliance to recommendations is explored in this study. It is found that conscientiousness is positively related with accepting recommended applications and being agreeable is related with the preference for the applications of editor’s choice. Furthermore, in this study, applications owned by the user and the composition of applications under categories and their relation with personality features are explored. It is shown that the number of user owned applications and their category differ according to gender and personality. Having similar applications and the number of applications owned under specific categories increase the probability of accepting recommended applications. 相似文献

2,4,6-Trichloro-1,3,5-triazine (cyanuric chloride, C3N3Cl3, 1) was used as the starting material. 2-(4-Carboxyphenylamino)-4,6-dichloro-1,3,5-triazine (2) was obtained from the reaction of cyanuric chloride with 4-aminobenzoic acid in the presence of sodium bicarbonate in acetone.
A mononuclear complex (4) was obtained by reacting 2 and [FeSalen]2O (3). A series of polymeric compounds was obtained by reacting 4 with a series of diamines. The polymeric complexes were characterized by elemental analysis, AAS, FT-IR, 1H NMR, TGA and magnetic susceptibility measurements. The complexes are low-spin, distorted octahedral Fe(III) species that

In this study, a novel azocalix[4]arene derivative, 5,11,17-tris[(1-naphtyl)azo]-25,26,27,28-tetrahydroxy-calix[4]arene (NAC4) bearing napthyl groups on the upper rim was synthesized. Its complexation behavior for alkali, alkaline-earth and various heavy metal ions (Li+, Na+, K+, Rb+, Cs+, Mg2+, Ca2+, Sr2+, Ba2+, Pb2+, Hg2+, Ni2+, Cd2+, Cu2+, Zn2+, Co2+, Fe2+, Cr3+, Ag+) was investigated by spectroscopic and voltammetric methods. This chemosensor exhibits decreased absorbance in the presence of Hg2+ and a unique absorbance quenching effect only for Cr3+. In addition, a new absorption band centered at 565 nm with the formation of the 1:1 host–guest complex (Cr3+-NAC4) was observed in the case of Cr3+, leading to an obvious color change from light orange to dark lilac. In voltammetric experiments, Cr3+ ions decreased voltammetric peaks of NAC4, whereas no significant changes occurred in the presence of the other metal ions. The Benesi–Hildebrand method was used to determine a logarithmic value of 3.76 for the association constant of the complex between Cr3+ and NAC4. 相似文献

In the present study, 17 wt % TiN reinforced α-β SiAlON composites were sintered at low temperature by susceptor-assisted microwave heating. The effect of TiN addition on dielectrical properties of starting powders, as well as the influence of sintering temperature on phase evolution, microstructure development and mechanical properties of α/β-SiAlON-TiN composites were investigated. The obtained results showed that TiN addition increased the microwave absorbing properties which is reflected in the peak sintering temperature. Thus, the α:β ratio decreased and mechanical properties were improved, especially the fracture toughness of the composites. Furthermore, an estimate of energy consumption during microwave assisted sintering at the laboratory scale is presented. As a result, the highest values for relative density (97.1%), Vickers hardness (13.35 ± 0.47 GPa), and fracture toughness (7.52 ± 0.54 MPa m1/2) were obtained by microwave sintering for 30 min at 1300 °C. 相似文献

ABSTRACT Treatments of phenol formaldehyde producing wastewater (PFPW) by electrooxidation (EO) and electro-Fenton (EF) successive processes were carried out in a batch electrolytic reactor using graphite (Gr) and stainless steel (Ss) electrodes. After the completion of the EO process, the wastewater was further treated with EF process. The influence of operating variables such as current density, operating time, initial pHi and H2O2 concentration was evaluated for removals of phenol, TOC and COD in PFPW. Gr/Gr, Gr/Ss or Ss/Ss and Ss/Gr electrode pair were used as anode and cathode. The best removal efficiency in the EO process was obtained with Gr/Gr (93%) as compared to Gr/Ss (82%), Ss/Ss (63%) and Ss/Gr (55%). The removal efficiencies for the EO process using Gr-Gr electrode pair were obtained as 93% for phenol, 61% for COD and 44% for TOC at initial pHi 7,5 g/L of NaCl, 50 mA/cm2 and 5 h. In the EF process, the removal efficiencies at pHi 3,5 mA/cm2 and 30 mM H2O2 and 45 min were 100% for phenol, 76% for COD and 59% for TOC. This study provided that the successive processes are an effective method for the removal of phenolic compounds from the wastewater. 相似文献

An ion‐exchange resin containing carboxylic acid groups was prepared by reaction of epoxidized soybean oil with triethylene tetramine, followed by hydrolysis of glycerides by using sodium hydroxide solution. The cation exchange capacity of the resins was determined to be 3.50 mequiv/g. The adsorption capacity for Cu2+, Ni2+, and Co2+ on the obtained resin at pH 5.0 was found to be 192, 96, and 78 mg/g, respectively. Effect of pH on the adsorption capacity for copper (II), nickel (II), and cobalt (II) ions were also studied. Cu2+, Ni2+, and Co2+ were adsorbed at a pH above 3. These metal ions adsorbed on the resin are easily eluted by using 1N HCl solution. The selectivity of the resin for Cu2+ from mixtures containing Cu2+/Co2+/Ni2+ ions in the presence of sodium chloride was also investigated © 2002 Wiley Periodicals, Inc. The steel/steel boundary friction properties of soybean oil (SBO) and high-oleic soybean oil (HOSBO) are compared. HOSBO is
significantly more saturated than SBO and more oxidatively stable. Changes in degree of unsaturation affect lateral interactions
of adsorbate molecules, which in turn affects their adsorption and, hence, their boundary lubrication properties. To investigate
this possibility, the free energies of adsorption (ΔG
ads) of SBO, HOSBO, and methyl laurate (ML) were determined from the analysis of friction-derived adsorption isotherms using
the Langmuir and Temkin adsorption models. The results showed a stronger adsorption for the vegetable oils than for ML, an
indication of multiple interactions between the ester groups of the triglycerides and the steel surface. The result also showed
no difference in the ΔG
ads values of SBO and HOSBO obtained using either the Langmuir or Temkin models. This was interpreted as an indication of the
