As telecommunication networks evolve rapidly in terms of scalability, complexity, and heterogeneity, the efficiency of fault localization procedures and the accuracy in the detection of anomalous behaviors are becoming important factors that largely influence the decision making process in large management companies. For this reason, telecommunication companies are doing a big effort investing in new technologies and projects aimed at finding efficient management solutions. One of the challenging issues for network and system management operators is that of dealing with the huge amount of alerts generated by the managed systems and networks. In order to discover anomalous behaviors and speed up fault localization processes, alert correlation is one of the most popular resources. Although many different alert correlation techniques have been investigated, it is still an active research field. In this paper, a survey of the state of the art in alert correlation techniques is presented. Unlike other authors, we consider that the correlation process is a common problem for different fields in the industry. Thus, we focus on showing the broad influence of this problem. Additionally, we suggest an alert correlation architecture capable of modeling current and prospective proposals. Finally, we also review some of the most important commercial products currently available.  相似文献

In Information Technology Service Management (ITSM), network management teams typically use an Incident Ticket System (ITS) as a tool to track, troubleshoot, and coordinate the resolution of network incidents that occur during the daily operation of the network. A well organized ITS may positively impact on the efficiency of the incident management process. Nevertheless, in many cases the handling of tickets by the management team is not completely systematic and may be incoherent and inefficient. This way, irrelevant or redundant tickets for the same incident may be issued, thus creating a redundancy in the system that leads to inefficiencies. In this paper, we suggest a model aimed to correlate redundant tickets in order to reduce the information to a single ticket per incident. We validate the proposed correlation model by evaluating it with two datasets taken from a real ticketing system of a telecommunications network company. Using this model as a basis, we also develop and evaluate a methodology that assesses the efficiency of the management team during the process of tickets creation and management. Based on it, we also get some insights on the performance of the different management groups involved in the ticket creation process. These analyses can be leveraged for improving both the management groups functioning and the policies for the tickets’ creation.  相似文献

Staphylococcal exfoliative toxins (ETs) are glutamyl endopeptidases that specifically cleave the Glu381-Gly382 bond in the ectodomains of desmoglein 1 (Dsg1) via complex action mechanisms. To date, four ETs have been identified in different Staphylococcus aureus strains and ETE is the most recently characterized. The unusual properties of ETs have been attributed to a unique structural feature, i.e., the 180° flip of the carbonyl oxygen (O) of the nonconserved residue 192/186 (ETA/ETE numbering), not conducive to the oxyanion hole formation. We report the crystal structure of ETE determined at 1.61 Å resolution, in which P186(O) adopts two conformations displaying a 180° rotation. This finding, together with free energy calculations, supports the existence of a dynamic transition between the conformations under the tested conditions. Moreover, enzymatic assays showed no significant differences in the esterolytic efficiency of ETE and ETE/P186G, a mutant predicted to possess a functional oxyanion hole, thus downplaying the influence of the flip on the activity. Finally, we observed the formation of ETE homodimers in solution and the predicted homodimeric structure revealed the participation of a characteristic nonconserved loop in the interface and the partial occlusion of the protein active site, suggesting that monomerization is required for enzymatic activity.  相似文献

The esterification of oleic acid and methanol using sulfuric acid as a homogeneous catalyst is studied in reactive‐separation systems. The conversion of the free fatty acid was investigated in two different experiments with the molar ratio of methanol/oleic acid, amount of catalyst, temperature, and reaction time as variables. The conversion of the free fatty acid was found to depend strongly on the molar ratio of methanol/oleic acid. The reaction time had a direct effect on the conversion of the free fatty acid, and this conversion decreased with higher temperature. These results were valuable for a preliminary study on biodiesel production, using an acid homogeneous catalyst in a reactive dividing‐wall distillation column.  相似文献

Galicia (N.W. Spain) produces 60% of Spanish kiwifruit (Actinidia deliciosa) and 5–20% of these are ‘destrío’ fruits, which do not reach market size and the appropriate form. These rejected fruits can be processed into products, thus increasing their added value. The processing of kiwifruit always includes a peeling operation, which can be performed by different systems. The most suitable conditions for caustic peeling and thermal peeling were established. Then, the two peeling systems were compared with manual peeling with the aim of selecting the best system to remove the peel of the ‘destrío’ kiwifruit. The fruits, once harvested, were stored in a cold chamber at 0 °C. Before processing or marketing kiwifruits, it is necessary to remove them from storage in cold chamber and storage at room temperature. In this study, different storage times at room temperature before peeling kiwifruits were also tested. The best system for peeling the kiwifruit was thermal peeling as this system resulted in the lowest weight loss and preserved the green colour characteristic of the kiwifruit. The best time for peeling the kiwifruit was after 8 days of storage at room temperature, after being removed from the cold chamber.  相似文献

In this work, NIRS is employed to provide compositions of α‐olefin copolymers, allowing for evaluation of the effects of certain key process variables on the final NIR spectral responses of obtained polymer materials. This work also introduces a new temperature programmed analytical technique, which combines NIRS measurements with partial fractionation of α‐olefin copolymers. The new proposed technique can be used for evaluation of polyolefin compositions, as presented here for poly(propene/1‐butene) copolymers. Besides, preliminary results obtained from thermal fractionation experiments indicate that this new proposed experimental technique can be employed for characterization of comonomer sequence distributions of α‐olefin copolymers. © 2013 Wiley Periodicals, Inc.
