A wormhole attack is one of the hardest problems to detect whereas it can be easily implanted in any type of wireless ad hoc network. A wormhole attack can easily be launched by the attacker without having knowledge of the network or compromising any legitimate nodes. Most existing solutions either require special hardware devices or make strong assumptions in order to detect wormhole attacks which limit the usability of these solutions. In this paper, we present a security enhancement to dynamic source routing (DSR) protocol against wormhole attacks for ad hoc networks which relies on calculation of round trip time (RTT). Our protocol secures DSR against a wormhole attack in ad hoc networks for multirate transmissions. We also consider the processing and queuing delays of each participating node in the calculation of RTTs between neighbors which to date has not been addressed in the existing literature. This work provides two test cases that show that not taking multirate transmission into consideration results in miss identifying a wormhole attack.  相似文献

A single specimen test using the three point single edge notched beam configuration at low temperatures for obtaining hot mix asphalt (HMA) resistance curves is developed.Resistance curves are obtained for mixtures at six temperature levels of+5,0,-5,-10,-15,and-20 ℃ and three binder contents of 4%,4.5%,and 5%.Crack extension increments during the test are measured by means of an image processing technique using Radon transform and feature extraction.All the specimens exhibit a rising R-curve,indicating ductility and toughening mechanisms in the ductile-quasi brittle fracture of the mixture.It is observed that the reduction of temperature results in a further tendency of the mixture for unstable crack growth and less subcritical crack length.It is also shown that using the binarization process,an automatic index can be developed that can represent the extent of brittleness and extent of the low temperature in which the cracking has occurred.  相似文献

The antioxidant effects of gallic acid (GA) and its alkyl esters including methyl gallate, ethyl gallate, propyl gallate, butyl gallate (GA-C4), octyl gallate, lauryl gallate, hexadecyl gallate and octadecyl gallate in frying oil (soybean oil) and oyster during frying were investigated. Rancimat induction period (RIP) assay indicated GA and its alkyl esters effectively improved the oxidative stability of soybean oil according to the ‘polar paradox’; that is, the antioxidant effects of the polyphenols decreased in lipid system with the increasing of hydrophobicity. Results also indicated that GA and its alkyl esters all effectively retarded lipid oxidation in oyster tissue according to parameters including RIP, peroxide value and electron spin resonance assays. Moreover, the antioxidant efficiency in oyster increased with the alkyl chain length until GA-C4, and thereafter, the antioxidant effects decreased, similar to the ‘cut-off effect’. This study provides basic data for improving the oxidative stability of seafood during frying.  相似文献

There are several approaches to dyeing recipe formulation in the textile industry, because the accuracy of computer recipe prediction is not very high. There are several theories such as colorimetric and spectrophotometeric appraches on color reception. This work addressed the effect of the calibration method as the calculation of unit k/s and spectral overlapping of the components of the mixture on the accuracy of recipe prediction in dyeing nylon with acid dye. To this aim, the unit k/s was calculated using single and binary mixture samples. Two types unit k/s were used for the recipe prediction of ternary mixture dyed samples with low and high overlapping reflectance spectra. The obtained results indicated that the unit k/s of single component differed from the unit k/s of bicomponent mixture. The accuracy of recipe prediction using unit k/s of single component was less than that of the binary mixture. However, the performance of the recipe prediction of high level overlapping was found to be more than that of the low level overlapping mixture. Subsequently, the accuracy of color matching depended on the reflectance spectra similarity (spectral overlapping) of the components of the mixture.  相似文献

This article represents an analytical formulation for optical properties of absorbing metallic nanoparticles in visible region of electromagnetic spectrum based on Mie theory, in order to find a clear relationship between fundamental characteristics of nanoparticles with their spectral behavior and color coordinate in CIELAB color space. Calculations were performed on nanoparticles with various diameters (d = 50, 100, and 200 nm), as well as complex refractive index with different real (n = 1.5, 2.0, 2.5, and 3.0) and imaginary (k = 0.001 and 0.1) parts. Obtained results reveal that scattering phenomena in nanoparticles are strongly linked to the particle size parameter and complex index of refraction. The results indicate that the reflectance and lightness (L*) of nanoparticles increases as a result of increase in their size and real part of complex refractive index and decrease with increasing the imaginary part of complex refractive index. The CIELAB colorimetric system was used for analysis the color of nanoparticles. According to obtained results, all nanoparticles have greenish‐blue color, and undergo color change as a result of varying in their size and the complex refractive index. © 2015 Wiley Periodicals, Inc. The present article solves the couple equations of a spherical solid particle’s motion in plane coquette fluid flow by using the HPM-Padé technique which is a combination of the Homotopy Perturbation Method (HPM) and Padé approximation. The series solutions of the couple equations are developed. Generally, the truncated series solution is adequately in a small region and to overcome this limitation, the Padé techniques which have the advantage of turning the polynomial approximation into a rational function, are applied to the series solution to improve the accuracy and enlarge the convergence domain. The current results compared with those derived from HPM and the established fourth order Runge–Kutta method in order to ascertain the accuracy of the proposed method. It is found that this method can achieve more suitable results in comparison to HPM.  相似文献
