A field experiment was conducted in the North Western Group of the Gezira Scheme (longitude 32°48′ and latitude 15°14′) for four successive seasons, two winter and two summer seasons, during the years 1999–2002, to study the effect of different irrigation water quantities (300, 400, 500, 600 and 700 mm per season) on oil content and oleic acid and linoleic acid percentages in two sunflower cultivars [Rodeo, an open‐pollinated variety, and Hysun33, a hybrid). The experiment was designed in a split plot design, with four replicates. The cultivars were allotted to the sub‐plots while the irrigation treatments were assigned to main plots. The results showed that different irrigation water quantities had significant effects on all parameters studied and the cultivar Hysun33 gave a higher oil content (36.6%) at 700 mm whereas the open‐pollinated variety Rodeo gave 34.1% oil at that level of irrigation. The overall percentages of oleic and linoleic acids were 29.7 and 58.1 in winter and 47.6 and 43.1 in summer, respectively. Copyright © 2007 Society of Chemical Industry  相似文献

Evaluation model was proposed which refers to fuzzy formalism of the personnel management issues taking account their specific characteristics. Application of TOPSIS (technique for order Performance by similarity to ideal solution) method for evaluation and regulation of alternatives based on hierarchically structured criteria of qualitative character by multiple experts to intellectually support decisions made in staff management issues is reviewed in the article. Candidate selection experiment based on criteria system formed using TOPSIS method for evaluation of candidates during solution of hiring problems reviewed and obtained results were compared with results obtained using Matlab program package.  相似文献

Models for the surface of cuticle cells in hair fibers consist of a monolayer of fatty acids covalently bound to the underlying protein membrane by thioester linkages. The most prominent of these fatty acids is 18-methyleicosanoic acid (C21a), the synthesis of which requires the oxidative decarboxylation of isoleucine. Maple syrup urine disease (MSUD) is caused by an inherited deficiency in the enzyme branched chain 2-oxo acid dehydrogenase, which leads to the accumulation of branched chain alpha-keto-acids derived from the amino acids, leucine, isoleucine, and valine. Transmission electron microscopy studies of developing hair fibers show a structural defect in the fiber shaft in hair from patients with MSUD. This defect is confined to the cuticle of the fiber, where the cuticle membrane directly apposes the intercellular material. Thus, the defect indicates that C21a is located exclusively on the upper surface of fiber cuticle cells. Lipid analysis of MSUD hairs has demonstrated significant changes in the relative abundance of the covalently bound fatty acids and an almost complete absence of C21a, whereas there was little difference in the amino acid composition compared with normal hair. These results provide further evidence for the existence of the surface lipid monolayer and its crucial role in cellular adhesion.  相似文献
