The effect of physical aging of semi-conducting polypyrrole at ambient temperature for 2 years duration on the dielectric loss at various pressures is investigated. Changes of the dielectric loss spectra and the modification of the values of the activation volume for relaxation are interpreted through the division of chain clusters into smaller components and the reduction of the size of the conductive grains.  相似文献

Three YBa2Cu3O x samples (A, B, and C) were prepared under similar conditions. The starting materials were Y2O3 (99.99%), CuO (99.999%), and BaCO3 (99.999%). All the specimens demonstrated a Meissner effect at liquid-nitrogen temperature. From temperature-dependent resistivity measurements, theT c for the three samples was found to be aroundT c =93 K, in agreement with other reports [1].  相似文献

The authors examine the design, implementation, and experimental analysis of parallel priority queues for device and network simulation. They consider: 1) distributed splay trees using MPI; 2) concurrent heaps using shared memory atomic locks; and 3) a new, more general concurrent data structure based on distributed sorted lists, designed to provide dynamically balanced work allocation and efficient use of shared memory resources. We evaluate performance for all three data structures on a Cray-TSESOO system at KFA-Julich. Our comparisons are based on simulations of single buffers and a 64×64 packet switch which supports multicasting. In all implementations, PEs monitor traffic at their preassigned input/output ports, while priority queue elements are distributed across the Cray-TBE virtual shared memory. Our experiments with up to 60000 packets and two to 64 PEs indicate that concurrent priority queues perform much better than distributed ones. Both concurrent implementations have comparable performance, while our new data structure uses less memory and has been further optimized. We also consider parallel simulation for symmetric networks by sorting integer conflict functions and implementing a packet indexing scheme. The optimized message passing network simulator can process ~500 K packet moves in one second, with an efficiency that exceeds ~50 percent for a few thousand packets on the Cray-T3E with 32 PEs. All developed data structures form a parallel library. Although our concurrent implementations use the Cray-TSE ShMem library, portability can be derived from Open-MP or MP1-2 standard libraries, which will provide support for one-way communication and shared memory lock mechanisms  相似文献

The thermal aging of conducting polypyrrole/polyaniline (PPy/PA) blends heated at 70°C for up to about 600 hours was studied by d.c. conductivity measurements and by thermally stimulated depolarization current (TSDC) spectroscopy in the temperature range from 80 to 300 K. The composition of the samples varied from pure polypyrrole to pure polyaniline with the PA content increasing in steps of 10%. Although the = (T) curves seem smooth, the corresponding /T = f(T) curves exhibit systematically ascattering of points in the temperature ranges from 100 to 140 K and from 225 to 320 K approximately for all the samples before and after the heat treatment. TSDC measurements with the MISIM (metal-insulator-sample-insulator-metal) configuration, show a low temperature peak at 100–120 K and a high temperature peak at 280–300 K. The first disappears when the polypyrrole content exceeds 70% and for all the samples after heat treatment, although the high-temperature peak persists. The explanation given to this correspondence between d.c. conductivity and TSDC signals is based on the destruction of conformons and the mobility change of the polymer chains with rising temperature.  相似文献

Voice over IP offers important opportunities for the telecommunications market to deploy more advanced services, but it must overcome many obstacles. Users expect toll-quality voice, which calls for end-to-end quality of service (QoS) - a challenge for IP service providers. To make VoIP attractive to end users, the only feasible and directly implementable alternative is to deploy an efficient mechanism within the endpoints. To that end, the authors propose the scalable, modular, call quality monitoring and control framework for maintaining voice quality at acceptable levels over networks that don't offer QoS guarantees.  相似文献

The modification of the ac conductivity and the complex permittivity of conducting polypyrrole was monitored throughout a two years thermal aging at 343 K. Reduction of the cross-over frequency is correlated with the degradation of dc-conductivity, while the ac conductivity region corresponding to the so-called ‘universal’ dielectric relaxation remains practically insensitive during the first year of ageing, which implies a collective co-operativity among multiple degradation processes that yield a practically time-independent effective disordered environment. A broad dielectric loss peak recorded in fresh specimens splits into two distinct relaxations for intermediate stages of the annealing process. The aging-time evolution of the dc component and the relaxations are qualitatively analysed and time constants are determined.  相似文献
