We have cooled a3He-4He dilute solution down to 97 K, which is the lowest temperature ever been achieved in a dilute mixture. However, there is no sign of the superfluid transition of3He quasiparticles in the solution. In the sub-millikelvin region, we have measured the thermal boundary resistance between the solutions and sintered metal powder as a function of temperature T. We find that the thermal boundary resistence is proportional to T–2 below 1 mK and that the resistance shows a strong dependence on magnetic fields below 0.1 T. These results suggest that the magnetic coupling is dominant in this temperature region. We have also estimated the heat leak into the dilute solution. It is found that the heat leak is proportional to the power of one third of inverse time, and the main source of the heat leak is ascribed to the viscous movement of3He quasiparticles.  相似文献

We have carried out the optical observation, electrical conductivity and 205Tl NMR measurements, and subsequently investigated the origin of the large conductivity above ferroelastic phase transition temperature Tc (=661 K) on the basis of the domain structure and the crystal structure. Electrical conductivity exhibits the discontinuous increase around Tc with increasing temperature and becomes approximately 5 × 10−3 S m−1 above Tc. Moreover, from the 205Tl NMR measurements, it is found that mobile Tl ions exist above Tc. Furthermore, from the analysis of the domain structure based on the crystal structure in the low-temperature ferroelastic phase, it is also found that the anomalously large fluctuations of SeO4 tetrahedrons exist above Tc. It is deduced from these results that the high electrical conductivity above Tc is caused by the mobile Tl ions closely related to the anomalously large fluctuations of SeO4 tetrahedrons accompanied by the ferroelastic phase transition.  相似文献

Ozonation and four types of advanced oxidation processes, including O3/H2O2, O3/UV, O3/H2O2/UV, and UV/H2O2, were evaluated for the treatment of contaminated groundwater at a Superfund site in Simpsonville, South Carolina using bench-scale, batch ozone and UV apparatuses. Although the contaminants of concern were 1,4-dioxane, 1,1-dichloroethene, and trichloroethene, several other chlorinated organics as well as tetrahydrofuran were found in the groundwater samples. The O3/H2O2 treatment with O3 and H2O2 doses of 6 and 1.5 mg/L, respectively, and the UV/H2O2 treatment with UV and H2O2 doses of 1,000 mJ/cm and 20 mg/L, respectively, were sufficient to degrade 200 µg/L of 1,4-dioxane, 110 µg/L of 1,1-dichloroethene, and 10 µg/L of trichloroethene below their performance standards of 10, 7, and 4 µg/L, respectively. Due to a high bromide concentration (0.35 mg/L) in the groundwater sample, bromate formation was found to be significant in ozone-based treatment, including O3/H2O2.  相似文献

We consider an inverse scattering problem in two-dimensions for a penetrable polygonal obstacle having different density from the back ground medium, however, the speed of sound is constant in the whole space. Using a single set of the Cauchy data of the response for a single incident plane wave with a fixed wave number on a circle surrounding the obstacle, we give an extraction formula of the convex hull of the obstacle. Centrifugal separation of elements has been explored in rapidly rotating metal plasmas. The plasma is produced and driven into rotation by cross-field, vacuum discharge in a coaxial plasma gun. Near-infrared (NIR) absorption spectra of a cadmium arachidate Langmuir-Blodgett (LB) film were measured by surface plasmon resonance near-infrared spectroscopy (SPR-NIRS) based on the Kretschmann configuration with a 18.8-nm gold film. An NIR spectrum enhanced severalfold was obtained as a top ridge of the SPR-NIR spectra measured at different incident angles by using the principle of absorption-sensitive SPR. In order to determine the surface selection rule of SPR-NIRS, the enhanced NIR absorption spectrum of the LB film was compared to an unenhanced one without the gold film and to a normal incidence transmission spectrum. Moreover, a pair of out-of-plane (OP) and in-plane (IP) spectra were obtained by multiangle infrared spectroscopy analysis from a series of oblique incidence transmission measurements in the NIR region. It became obvious that the salient feature of the enhanced NIR absorption spectrum, i.e., the top ridge of the SPR-NIR spectra is almost equivalent to that of the OP spectrum. On the other hand, the unenhanced spectrum showed IP modes. These experimental results were well explained by calculation of the mean-square electric field based on the Fresnel formula.  相似文献

Usually a structured FORTRAN program is transformed into a standard FORTRAN program by means of a one-pass preprocessor. In this case, several problems are caused by the many redundant continue and goto statements that a preprocessor generates. These problems include: (i) the generated FORTRAN program is not easy to read; (ii) the size of files to store the related programs becomes large; (iii) the total time increases for executing both the FORTRAN compiler and the output program itself. This paper presents a new scheme for constructing a one-pass preprocessor that generates the optimized FORTRAN code by suppressing the redundant statements. By employing this scheme we have constructed our own preprocessors for Westran (one of the Structured FORTRAN languages) and Ratfor and measured these against the traditional preprocessors for the Westran and Ratfor languages. One of the results is as follows. The total time for users, namely ‘preprocessing time + FORTRAN compiling time’ is rather less than the traditional ones. This is due to the fact that to suppress the input/output of the redundant statements from/to files contributes to the decreasing of both preprocessing and compiling times, and this compensates completely the time-overhead of the optimization process.  相似文献
