We prepared biodegradable polycaprolactone/cuttlebone scaffold composite by salt leaching process. In the first step, a co-continuous blend of biodegradable materials, polycaprolactone (PCL) and cuttlebone (CB), and an amount of sodium chloride salt particles were mixed using a stirrer. Next, the extraction of mineral salts using de-ionized distilled water was performed using a biodegradable PCL/CB scaffold with fully interconnected pores. Finally, the durable morphology of the scaffolds was fabricated by freeze-drying process at ?53 °C for 24 hrs in a vacuum. In addition, the quadrilateral pres ranged from about 250 to 300 ??m in diameter. Scanning electron microscopy (SEM) and mercury intrusion porosimeter techniques were carried out to characterize the pore morphology. By increasing the CB and sodium chloride salt particle content, the number of interconnected pores, material properties, and pore morphology were dramatically changed. The average compressive strengths (load at 50% strain) of the different porous PCL/CB scaffolds were found to decrease from 133 to about 79 (load at 50% strain, gf) with an increase in porosity. This paper describes a new low-power design concept appropriate for column drivers of high-resolution active matrix liquid crystal displays with a dot inversion method. The proposed multi-level multiphase charge-recycling method reduces power consumption incurred in driving highly capacitive column lines by storing the charge into the external capacitors and reusing it in the next cycle. With the proposed method, power consumption can be reduced asymptotically to zero with the infinite number of storage capacitors. However it is also shown that total power reduction can be counterbalanced by the power consumption in driving switches used in the recycling process. Analytical equations, simulation results, and measurement results from an experimental chip are shown to validate the proposed method. Dynamic power reduction of 55%-70% is measured with a three-level five-phase charge-recycling method compared with a conventional column driver  相似文献

A micro-machined gyro chip of gyroscope is normally packaged in specific vacuum level to get the specific quality factor(Q-factor). If the Q-factor is too high, frequency tuning and the approximate matching between driving and sensing comb structure become difficult, and if the Q-factor is too low, its sensitivity decreases. The optimum Q-factor of our gyro chip design is 4000 range. To get this range, we measured the drive mode Q-factor as vacuum level of our gyro chip and we found that the vacuum level of the desired Q-factor 4000 is in the range of 740 mTorr. Based on this data, we fabricate the wafer level package gyro chip of the desired Q-factor by controlled the basic pressure of package bonding chamber just prior to the bonding process. After wafer level package process, we measured Q-factor of whole samples. Among 804 samples, 502 packaged gyro chips are worked and the Q-factor of 67% samples is between 3500 and 4500 range.  相似文献

This paper describes the details and the results of the subjective quality evaluation performed at EPFL, as a contribution to the effort of the joint collaborative team on video coding (JCT-VC) for the definition of the high efficiency video coding (HEVC) standard. The performance of twenty-seven coding technologies has been evaluated with respect to two H.264/MPEG-4 AVC anchors, for high definition (HD) test material. The test campaign involved a total of 494 naive observers and took place over a period of four weeks. While similar tests have been conducted as part of the standardization process of previous video coding technologies, the test campaign described in this paper is by far the most extensive in the history of video coding standardization. A detailed statistical analysis of the subjective results is provided. The results show high consistency and support an accurate comparison of the performance of the different coding technologies.  相似文献

In practice it is important to construct node-disjoint paths in networks, because they can be used to increase the transmission rate and enhance the transmission reliability. The folded hyper-star networks FHS(2n,n) were introduced to be a competitive model to both hypercubes and star graphs. They are bipartite and node-symmetric, though not edge-symmetric, and have diameter n. In this paper we construct a maximum number of node-disjoint paths between every two distinct nodes of FHS(2n,n) and show that its fault diameter is n+2 for n≥4. We also suggest a one-to-all broadcasting algorithm of FHS(2n,n) under the all-port model.  相似文献

The structural analyses of vacuum vessel have been performed to investigate the effect of shell thickness reduction on structural integrity. The finite element models of vacuum vessel considering original design and thickness reduction have been developed. The expected maximum thickness reduction possibly caused by forming and bending processes during fabrication was applied to the curved region of the analysis models. The linear elastic and nonlinear limit analyses have been performed. The structural integrity of main vessel including lower port stub extension has been verified in accordance with the requirements of RCC-MR. It is concluded that the inner and outer shells of main vessel still have enough strength margins under pressure and VDE (Vertical Displacement Event) load conditions in spite of thickness reduction. These results have been reviewed and approved by ITER Organization and ANB (Agreed Notified Body).  相似文献

Ulcerative colitis is a complex inflammatory bowel disorder disease that can induce rectal and colonic dysfunction. Although the prevalence of IBD in Western countries is almost 0.5% of the general population, genetic causes are still not fully understood. In a recent discovery, itaconate was found to function as an immune-modulating metabolite in mammalian immune cells, wherein it is synthesized as an antimicrobial compound from the citric acid cycle intermediate cis-aconitic acid. However, the association between the Acod1 (Aconitate decarboxylase 1)-itaconate axis and ulcerative colitis has rarely been studied. To elucidate this, we established a DSS-induced colitis model with Acod1-deficient mice and then measured the mouse body weights, colon lengths, histological changes, and cytokines/chemokines in the colon. We first confirmed the upregulation of Acod1 RNA and protein expression levels in DSS-induced colitis. Then, we found that colitis symptoms, including weight loss, the disease activity index, and colon shortening, were worsened by the depletion of Acod1. In addition, the extent of intestinal epithelial barrier breakdown, the extent of immune cell infiltration, and the expression of proinflammatory cytokines and chemokines in Acod1-deficient mice were higher than those in wild-type mice. Finally, we confirmed that 4-octyl itaconate (4-OI) alleviated DSS-induced colitis in Acod1-deficient mice and decreased the expression of inflammatory cytokines and chemokines. To our knowledge, this study is the first to elucidate the role of the Acod1-itaconate axis in colitis. Our data clearly showed that Acod1 deletion resulted in severe DSS-induced colitis and substantial increases in inflammatory cytokine and chemokine levels. Our results suggest that Acod1 may normally play an important regulatory role in the pathogenesis of colitis, demonstrating the potential for novel therapies using 4-OI.  相似文献
