Effective thermal performance of oscillating heat pipe (OHP) is driven by inside pressure distribution. Heat transfer phenomena were reported in terms of pressure and frequency of pressure fluctuation in multi loop OHP charged with aqueous Al2O3 and MWCNTs/Al2O3 nanoparticles. The influences on thermal resistance of aqueous Al2O3, MWCNTs as well as the hybrid of them in OHP having 3 mm in inner diameter were investigated at 60% filling ratio. Experimental results show that thermal characteristics are significantly inter-related with pressure distribution and strongly depend upon the number of pressure fluctuations with time. Frequency of pressure depends upon the power input in evaporative section. A little inclusion of MWCNTs into aqueous Al2O3 at 60% filling ratio achieves the highest fluctuation frequency and the lowest thermal resistance at any evaporator power input though different nanofluids cause different thermal performances of OHPs.  相似文献

In this paper, we present an interleaver design method for SCCC. Our design criterion is to minimize the message-round probability in the SCCC graph which is specially well suited for SCCC. The message-round probability characterizes the message flow in the SCCC graph. By minimizing it, we can get a large interleaving gain. The simulation results confirm our approach.  相似文献

Communication between people with disabilities and people who do not understand sign language is a growing social need and can be a tedious task. One of the main functions of sign language is to communicate with each other through hand gestures. Recognition of hand gestures has become an important challenge for the recognition of sign language. There are many existing models that can produce a good accuracy, but if the model test with rotated or translated images, they may face some difficulties to make good performance accuracy. To resolve these challenges of hand gesture recognition, we proposed a Rotation, Translation and Scale-invariant sign word recognition system using a convolutional neural network (CNN). We have followed three steps in our work: rotated, translated and scaled (RTS) version dataset generation, gesture segmentation, and sign word classification. Firstly, we have enlarged a benchmark dataset of 20 sign words by making different amounts of Rotation, Translation and Scale of the original images to create the RTS version dataset. Then we have applied the gesture segmentation technique. The segmentation consists of three levels, i) Otsu Thresholding with YCbCr, ii) Morphological analysis: dilation through opening morphology and iii) Watershed algorithm. Finally, our designed CNN model has been trained to classify the hand gesture as well as the sign word. Our model has been evaluated using the twenty sign word dataset, five sign word dataset and the RTS version of these datasets. We achieved 99.30% accuracy from the twenty sign word dataset evaluation, 99.10% accuracy from the RTS version of the twenty sign word evolution, 100% accuracy from the five sign word dataset evaluation, and 98.00% accuracy from the RTS version five sign word dataset evolution. Furthermore, the influence of our model exists in competitive results with state-of-the-art methods in sign word recognition.  相似文献

Synthesizing handwritten-style characters is an interesting issue in today’s handwriting analysis field. The purpose of this study is to artificially generate training data, foster a deep understanding of human handwriting, and promote the use of the handwritten-style computer fonts, in which the individuality or variety of the synthesized characters is considered important. Research considering such two properties together, however, is very rare. In this paper, a handwriting model is proposed to synthesize various handwritten characters while preserving the writer’s individuality from a limited number of training data, using a statistical approach. The proposed model is verified in single- and multiple-stroke characters, such as Arabic numbers, small English letters, and Japanese Kanji letters. Synthesized characters are evaluated in three ways. First, they are analyzed visually using the selected samples, and the relationship between the training and synthesized characters is explained. Second, the personalities and varieties of all the data are evaluated using a conventional writer verification method. Third, a questionnaire is developed and administered to evaluate the subjective responses of the users regarding the personal styles of the synthesized characters. The results prove that the proposed model stably synthesizes personalized characters by being invariant to the number of training data, whereas the variety increases gradually as the data increase.  相似文献

Exfoliated graphene ligands were prepared by heating exfoliated graphene sheets in ammonia gas at 1023 K. The functional groups of the functionalized exfoliated graphene ligands were mainly pyridine on the edges of the vacancy defects. Copper cations were coordinated with the ligands. Even after being heated at 773 K, coordinated copper did not show severe agglomeration. On the other hand, copper supported on exfoliated graphene sheets prepared by the conventional method agglomerated and ca. 20 nm of copper oxide was formed. This difference clearly shows that exfoliated graphene ligands stabilized copper cations.  相似文献
