This paper reports the results of a pilot study carried out in RajpuraDariba area, Rajasthan, for locating favourable zones of lead-zinc-copper (Pb-Zn-Cu) mineralization using remote sensing, Geographical Information System (GIS) and geostatistical modelling techniques. Remotely sensed data, both aerial and satellite, were used to update the existing geological map. ATLAS GIS software and multivariate geostatistical techniques were used to analyse and integrate different types of geological and geophysical datasets. The Favourability Index (FI) maps prepared during this study show the occurrence of three favourable zones for Pb-Zn-Cu mineralization. They are: (i) around and north of Rawan ka Khera; (ii) isolated spots between Ruppura and Bhupalsagar; and (iii) north of Dhani. Selective geochemical sampling and resistivity profiling carried out in these favourable zones indicated the presence of geochemical anomalies (anomalous concentrations of Zn and Cu) and low/moderate resistivity zones, respectively. Recent drilling carried out by the Department of Mines and Geology (DMG), Rajasthan, at about 2.5 km north of Rawan ka Khera (one of the predicted favourable zones) indicated evidence of Cu mineralization at a depth of about 70 m.  相似文献

Cu-MgO is found to be an efficient catalyst for the coupling reaction of furfural (FAL) hydrogenation and cyclohexanol (CyOH) dehydrogenation. This process is not only efficient in compensating the thermodynamic equilibrium constraints in the cyclohexanol dehydrogenation and improving the yields towards cyclohexanone but also is a economical route for the synthesis of furfuryl alcohol (FFA) and cyclohexanone (Cyone) as the process do not need any external pumping of hydrogen. The effect of incorporation of various promoters viz., Co, Zn, Fe, Cr, Pd and Ni in Cu-MgO over its activity towards this coupling reaction has been studied. Incorporation of Cr in Cu-MgO catalyst is found be an advantageous in enhancing the yields of both FFA and Cyone. All other promoters though found to show higher activity for the individual reactions of FAL hydrogenation and CyOH dehydrogenation, failed to do the same in their coupling reaction. The stabilization of active species (Cu+/Cu0) by Cr which also seem to increase the synergetic interaction between Cu and MgO as observed from higher dispersion of copper (from XRD results) and easier reducibility of copper oxide (from TPR results) seem to be the factors behind its higher activity over other promoted catalysts.  相似文献

Several Ni/SiO2 catalysts were developed for the hydrogenation of levulinic acid using formic acid as the hydrogen source. The catalysts were prepared by a variety of methods including impregnation, co‐precipitation, deposition‐precipitation, and citric acid assisted impregnation combustion. The morphological properties were investigated by XRD, N2 sorption, HRTEM, and H2 pulse chemisorption measurements. XRD patterns of the calcined material revealed the presence of NiO particles, while calcination in an inert atmosphere produced Ni particles through in situ reduction of NiO. The reaction proceeded without external H2 flow using formic acid as hydrogen source. The Ni/SiO2 catalyst prepared by the citric acid assisted method and calcined in inert gas flow was the most efficient for the hydrogenation of levulinic acid without external H2 flow. The high catalytic performance was attributed to the high dispersion of cheap and earth‐abundant Ni nanoparticles and optimal porosity.  相似文献
