Modeling, optimization, process monitoring, and product development in a toner process using multiway principal component analysis and multiway partial least square method is described. Process measurements and product quality values of past successful batches were collected in a data matrix and preprocessed through time alignment, centering, and scaling. Following the identification of latent variables, an empirical model was built through a fourfold cross validation that can represent the operation of a successful batch. The prepared model provided a realistic prediction of process behavior, realistically represented the operation of the industrial unit, and is mathematically simple enough to be used in online optimization and for automatic control strategies of selected abnormal batches.  相似文献

In this study, different concentrations of Li2O (0–12 wt.%) were substituted for Na2O in 45S5 bioglass® and the effect of these substitutions on both in vitro apatite formation ability and osteoblastic cell responses was studied. For these purposes, the structural and topographical properties of the glasses were studied using, XRD, FTIR, SEM/EDXA and AFM techniques, before and after storing in simulated body fluid for different time intervals. Additionally, the proliferation rate and activity of newborn rat calvaria-derived osteoblastic cells on different samples were examined by using dimethylthiazol diphenyl tetrazolium bromide (MTT) and alkaline phosphatase (ALP) assessment methods. From XRD and FTIR data, it was found that poor crystalline carbonated nanoapatite phase was formed on the surface of glasses with maximum concentration of Li or without Li, while at low substitutions an inhibition of apatite formation was observed. The apatite layer formed on the surfaces of the glasses had similar morphology, flakes which tightly entangled to others. All samples had the same surface roughness before soaking but different values after that. It was found that both proliferation rate and alkaline phosphatase activity of the cells cultured on Li-substituted glasses were higher than those of Li-free sample in a dose-dependent manner. The results suggest that lithia-modified glasses may be successfully used as bone defect filler even with more effectiveness than 45S5 bioglass®.  相似文献

Two different hydroxyapatites with the particle sizes of 3.9 and 1.69 μm were chosen. Slurries with initial hydroxyapatite concentration of 15 vol% were prepared. Different cooling rates from 2 to 14°C/min were utilized. The specimens were sintered at different temperatures of 1250–1350°C. The phase composition (by X‐Ray Diffraction), microstructure (by Scanning Electron Microscopy), mechanical characteristics, and the porosity of sintered samples were assessed. The porosity of the sintered samples was in range of ~57–83%, and the compressive strength varied from ~1.7 to 15 MPa. The mechanical strength of the scaffolds increased as a function of cooling rate and sintering temperature.  相似文献

An infrastructure development in landscape and clearing of more vegetated areas have provided huge changes in Malaysia gradually leading to slope instabilities accompanied by enormous environmental effects such as properties and destructions. Thus, prudent practices through vegetation incorporating to use slope stability is an option to the general stabilized technique. Few researches have investigated the effectiveness of vegetative coverings related to slope and soil parameters. The main goal of this study is to provide an intelligent soft computing model to predict the safety factor (FOS) of a slope using support vector regression (SVR). In the other words, SVR has investigated the surface eco-protection techniques for cohesive soil slopes in Guthrie Corridor Expressway stretch through the probabilistic models analysis to highlight the main parameters. The aforementioned analysis has been performed to predict the FOS of a slope, also the estimator’s function has been confirmed by the simulative outcome compared to artificial neural network and genetic programing resulting in a drastic accurate estimation by SVR. Using new analyzing methods like SVR are more purposeful than achieving a starting point by trial and error embedding multiple factors into one in ordinary low-technique software.

A density functional theory (DFT) study was carried out to investigate hydrogen bonding (HB) properties of peptide group (O=C-NH) in crystalline acetamide. Since the peptide group in acetamide contributes to N-H...O and C-H...O types of HB interactions, acetamide is considered as the simplest form of peptide linkage in proteins. The evaluated NMR parameters including quadrupole coupling constants and asymmetry parameters from the calculated electric field gradient (EFG) tensors at the sites of O17, N14 and H2 nuclei and isotropic chemical shieldings from the calculated chemical shielding (CS) tensors at the sites of O17, N15 and H1 nuclei reveal the major contribution of O=C-NH group to HB interactions. Although N-H...O type of HB interaction play the major role in the HB properties of peptide group in lattice form of crystalline acetamide, however, the role of weaker C-H...O type of HB interaction cannot be neglected.  相似文献

The physical and chemical transformations occurring in asbestos cement (A/C) sheet following a two-year natural exposure to sulfate rich water in a cooling tower have been investigated using a combination of analytical and microstructural techniques. The investigation was conducted on a reference A/C sheet, specimens of the partially degraded A/C sheet and chrysotile fibers recovered from the latter. The methods employed included X-ray diffraction, scanning electron microscopy and EDXA, thermogravimetry, infrared spectroscopy and evolved gas analysis during thermal decomposition. Analysis of the combined data conclusively show that the primary cause of degradation and delamination of the A/C sheet is the formation of gypsum (CaSO4)·2H2O crystals which is accompanied by substantial volume expansion. Apparently, carbonation, yielding calcite and/or vaterite crystals, is a secondary degradation mechanism.  相似文献

Single trial estimation of event-related potential (ERP) components is an open research topic in neuroscience. In this article, we have proposed a method to improve the performance of spatiotemporal filtering by decreasing its dependency to prior estimates of ERP components. For this purpose, we have used a mixture of Gaussian kernels instead of a raw prior signal, and the parameters of the Gaussian kernel are estimated using artificial bee colony algorithm. The algorithm starts with one Gaussian kernel, and after optimizing its parameters, another Gaussian kernel is added. This procedure goes on until the stopping criterion is reached. The efficiency of the algorithm is tested for one single uncorrelated component and two correlated components for synthesized electroencephalogram (EEG) signal. Also, the efficiency of the proposed method is presented on real data for extraction of N170 component in real EEG data.  相似文献

The goal of this project was to develop and test an innovative coal cleaning process to reduce the ash content of coal and produce ultra clean coal (UCC). Coal samples that were prepared from concentrates of Iran's Zirab and Tabas coal preparation plants were found to have initial ash contents of 8.31 and 10.36%, respectively. These coals were demineralized with the combination of microwave irradiation pretreatment and dual acid leaching processes with HF followed by HNO3 in a batch reactor. For samples that were microwaved and leached with HF, the reduction in ash ranged from 22 to 76% and from 22 to 82% for Zirab and Tabas coal samples, respectively, depending on leaching conditions. Microwave irradiation pretreatment had a positive effect on demineralization with HF, especially for the coarse size fractions. For the fine size fractions, reduced leaching times were found to enhance the effect of microwave irradiation. The microwave-irradiated, HF-leached product was leached further using a 1.4 M HNO3 solution at a leaching temperature of 65 °C to remove fluoride sediments and pyritic sulfur. The ash content of the Zirab coal was reduced from 2.57 to 0.69% by leaching with the HNO3 solution for 1 h. The ash content of the Tabas coal was reduced from 2.44 to 0.39% by leaching with the HNO3 solution for 3 h. The results show that microwave irradiation can be considered as a pretreatment process in the chemical leaching of coal to produce UCC.  相似文献

The design and fabrication of macroporous hydroxyapatite scaffolds, which could overcome current bone tissue engineering limitations, have been considered in recent years. In the current study, controlled unidirectional freeze-casting at different cooling rates was investigated. In the first step, different slurries with initial hydroxyapatite concentrations of 7–37.5 vol.% were prepared. In the next step, different cooling rates from 2 to 14 °C/min were applied to synthesize the porous scaffold. Additionally, a sintering temperature of 1350 °C was chosen as an optimum temperature. Finally, the phase composition (by XRD), microstructure (by SEM), mechanical characteristics, and the porosity of sintered samples were assessed. The porosity of the sintered samples was in a range of 45–87% and the compressive strengths varied from 0.4 MPa to 60 MPa. The mechanical strength of the scaffolds increased as a function of initial concentration, cooling rate, and sintering temperature. With regards to mechanical strength and pore size, the samples with the initial concentration and the cooling rate of 15 vol.% and 5 °C/min, respectively, showed better results.  相似文献
