Although reticulocyte counts can be reliably performed for up to 48 h after storage in EDTA, it is unclear whether this is applicable to the pediatric age group. In order to evaluate this, manual reticulocyte counts were performed on 20 specimens from pediatric patients stored at 4 degrees C for up to 24 h post collection. Samples were evaluated at 1-3, 6, 12, 18, and 24 h after storage in EDTA vacutainer tubes at 4 degrees C. The age of the subjects ranged from 1 day to 9 years with a median age of 3 years. Patients' reticulocyte counts ranged from 0 to 27% (5.89 +/- 7.21). No clinically significant changes were evident in the reticulocyte count over 24 h after specimen collection. The mean of the 20 specimens at 1-3 h was 5.50 and at 24 h was 5.40 (P > .05). The standard deviation of the mean values ranged from 7.03 to 7.26 (P > .05). The results indicate that reticulocyte counts may be performed on previously drawn blood held at 4 degrees C for up to 24 h post collection in a pediatric population without significant difference from baseline values.  相似文献

Thermodynamic excess functions of nickel-chromium alloys in the body-centered cubic (bcc) phase have been investigated by computer-aided Knudsen cell mass spectrometry in the tem-perature range of 1300 to 1650 K. Activities, as well as molar excess Gibbs energies, enthalpies, and entropies, were obtained from the ion intensities as a function of composition by fitting to a subregular solution model [2-parameter thermodynamically adapted power (TAP) series:C H n in J/mol,C H 1 = 3900,C H 1 = 44,610;C S n in J/mol-K,C = 9.71, c= 13.52]. Based upon these data, the phase diagram has been recalculated.  相似文献

Proton induced nuclear reactions on enriched 111Cd and 112Cd have been studied up to 30 MeV in the context of routine production of the medically used isotope 111In with low and medium energy cyclotrons. The excitation functions of 111Cd(p,n)111m,gIn and 112Cd(p,2n)111m,gIn as production reactions and 111Cd(p,2n)110mIn, 111Cd(p,2n)110In, 111Cd(p,3n)109ml,m2,In, 112Cd(p,3n)110mIn, 112Cd(p,3n)110gIn as competing processes have been measured using the activation method involving the stacked-foil technique. The deduced thick target yields are compared with those obtained experimentally.  相似文献

Zinc tetrapyrazinoporphyrazines comprising different numbers of pyridin-2-yl and tert-butylsulfanyl substituents were prepared by the statistical condensation of two precursors – 5,6-bis(tert-butylsulfanyl)pyrazine-2,3-dicarbonitrile (A) and 5,6-dipyridin-2-yl-pyrazine-2,3-dicarbonitrile (B). The ensuing zinc tetrapyrazinoporphyrazines were chromatographically separated on silica column and characterized. Adjacent (AABB) and opposite (ABAB) isomers were not separated. The prepared zinc tetrapyrazinoporphyrazines did not differ in their Q-band position but the B-band position was shifted hypsochromically for compounds bearing more pyridyl units; in addition, a weak band at 450–520 nm decreased with increasing number of pyridyl substituents. Singlet oxygen quantum yields (ΦΔ in the range 0.69–0.53) decreased with increasing number of pyridyl units on the macrocyclic core, while fluorescence quantum yields showed the reverse tendency (ΦF in the range 0.22–0.26).  相似文献

The study of the incidence and etiological pattern of infectious complications included 376 patients operated for acquired valvular disease. 40,280 bacteriological tests of the materials from the patients obtained during the operations and during the postoperative period as well as 30,113 sanitary bacteriological tests of the specimens from the cardiological operation unit were conducted. The possible use of the results of bacteriological monitoring for prediction of septic complications and optimization of antibiotic prophylaxis and therapy as well as for development and operation of a system of sanitary and hygienic measures for infection prevention was shown and statistically confirmed.  相似文献

Tramadol has been determined in human plasma samples using a sensitive high-performance liquid chromatographic method. The plasma samples were extracted with tert.-butylmethyl ether in one-step liquid-liquid extraction (recovery 86%) and analyses of the extracts were performed on reversed-phase silica gel using ion-pair chromatography (verapamil as an internal standard) and fluorescence detection. The method was applied to the determination of tramadol levels in twelve healthy volunteers after oral administration of 100 mg of tramadol in capsules of Protradon and Tramal.  相似文献

An experimental plasmachemical reactor equipped with the novel IPP-ASCR hybrid gas–water stabilized DC torch (160 kW) has recently been started at IPP Prague for the innovative and environmentally friendly plasma treatment of waste streams with a view to their sustainable energetic and chemical valorization and to a reduction of the emission of greenhouse gases. Since the process energy is provided by direct heat transfer from plasma, gases of widely varying chemical composition may be used. The use of electrical energy also reduces the gas flows and requirements for exhaust-gas treatment, and offers control over the chemistry. Pyrolysis of biomass was experimentally studied using wood chips as a model substance. Syngas with a high content of hydrogen and CO was produced. The influence of adding CO2 for increase of oxygen content in the reactor was investigated.  相似文献

This paper presents the approach of a combined use of resonance integrals and average Maxwellian cross sections (MACS) at kT = 30 keV to test and validate the resolved resonance range or its reconstructed cross section curve. Based on these two integral measurements a sensitive and energy dependent test can be provided. These two integral quantities cover with their neutron spectra the energy region between En = 0.5 eV up to several hundred keV, respectively, with different weighting. Our principal motivation is to produce a validation tool, sensitive to the lower and upper parts of the resonance region through the difference in the applied 1/E and kT = 30 keV Maxwell–Boltzmann spectra of the resonance integral and MACS data.  相似文献
