Funil Reservoir receives inflow from a highly industrialized region and acts as a natural sink to pollutants. Among the consequences of the uncontrolled nutrient loading is the constant presence and periodic heavy blooms of Microcystis aeruginosa . This study verified limnological features and zooplankton assemblage of the Funil Reservoir focusing on the environmental-indicator properties of rotifers and cladocerans. The summer bloom of M. aeruginosa caused reductions in water transparency, nitrate and orthophosphate concentrations and raises in chlorophyll a , pH, dissolved oxygen and chemical oxygen demand values. All zooplankton species presented spatial and temporal variations with the exception of the copepods, which were present in all samples. According to canonical correspondence analysis, ammonium was the variable most related to zooplankton variability and different Rotifera and Cladocera assemblages indicated distinct environment conditions. Rotifer taxa associated with increases of water temperature and chlorophyll a concentration were found with high densities during M. aeruginosa blooms. Species of rotifer and cladocerans are suggested as indicators that can be used to identify different physical and chemical gradients or eutrophic increases in Funil Reservoir.  相似文献

The pharmacokinetics of resveratrol in 11 healthy male volunteers has been assessed in a randomized, crossover, controlled clinical trial after the administration of three grape products: red wine (250 mL), grape juice (1/L), or tablets (red wine extracts enriched with trans-resveratrol). Doses of trans-resveratrol independently of the product administered, were about 14 μg/kg. Biological samples were collected and analysed by capillary gas chromatography–mass spectrometry. cis-Resveratrol, trans-resveratrol and dihydroresveratrol were determined in plasma and urine. Plasma concentration of trans-resveratrol after hydrolysis increased as a response to all grape products and that of cis-resveratrol after wine and grape juice. Free forms of these phenolic compounds were deemed undetectable in plasma. Despite similar trans-resveratrol doses being administered, its bioavailability from wine and grape juice was 6-fold higher, than that from tablets. Resveratrol was better absorbed from natural grape products than from tablets, pointing out the importance of the matrix in its bioavailability.  相似文献

Low efficiency of use of software engineering best practices and poor quality of the products developed are two of the main reasons for the failure of software projects. This paper describes an architectural model, based on the re-use of process and project assets supported by collaborative mechanisms, which improves the efficiency of use of software processes; and a set of quality parameters under validation. In the world of information and communications technologies the demand for professionals with software engineering skills grows at an exponential rate. On this ground, we have conducted a study to help both academia and the software industry form a picture of the relationship between the competences of recent graduates of undergraduate and graduate software engineering programmes and the tasks that these professionals are to perform as part of their jobs in industry. Thanks to this study, academia will be able to observe which skills demanded by industry the software engineering curricula do or do not cater for, and industry will be able to ascertain which tasks a recent software engineering programme graduate is well qualified to perform. The study focuses on the software engineering knowledge guidelines provided in SE2004 and GSwE2009, and the job profiles identified by Career Space.  相似文献

Like any other quality attribute, usability imposes specific constraints on software components. Features that raise the software system's usability have to be considered from the earliest development stages. But, discovering and documenting usability features is likely to be beyond the usability knowledge of most requirements engineers, developers, and users. We propose an approach based on developing specific guidelines that capitalize upon key elements recurrently intervening in the usability features elicitation and specification process. The use of these guidelines provides requirements analysts with a knowledge repository. They can use this repository to ask the right questions and capture precise usability requirements information.  相似文献

Zinc dialkyl dithiophosphate (ZDDP) is an anti-wear additive for steel surfaces currently used in engine oils. Its anti-wear performance (against abrasion) is due to tribochemical reaction of zinc polyphosphate with abrasive metal oxides nanoparticles, under the combined effect of pressure and shear. However, phosphorous and sulfur are nocuous for environmental issues. Borates are possible candidates to replace phosphates in engine oils. Friction reduction with borates is found to be better than ZDDP but the anti-wear efficiency of borates is lower. In this work, we show how chemical hardness model and computer simulation can explain these different behaviors. Also we show that molecular dynamics is able to predict accurately behavior of mixtures of phosphates and borate. Results show that mixtures of additives with a P:B ratio slightly above unity can be a good compromise to have both good tribological performance and low content of phosphorous and sulfur in the lubricant.  相似文献

Three different functional phenol-enriched virgin olive oils (FVOO) were prepared with a phenolic content of 250 (L-FVOO), 500 (M-FVOO), and 750 mg (H-FVOO) total phenols/kg. In a randomised, cross-over study with 12 healthy volunteers, the pharmacokinetics of phenolic biological metabolites was assessed. An increasing linear trend was observed for hydroxytyrosol sulfate, the main phenolic metabolite quantified in plasma, with Cmax values of 1.35, 3.32, and 4.09 μmol/l, and AUC mean values of 263.7, 581.4, and 724.4 μmol/min for L-FVOO, M-FVOO, and H-FVOO, respectively. From our data an acute intake of phenol-enriched olive oils promotes a dose-dependent response of phenol conjugate metabolites in human plasma. Also, we point out for the first time hydroxytyrosol acetate sulfate as a main biological metabolite of hydroxytyrosol from olive oil ingestion.  相似文献

Process assets (PAs) are acknowledged as contributing to the business value of organizations. Even so, they are still classed and employed as passive elements ready for use for special purposes. This paper considers how the evolution of active PAs over time can best influence the achievement of specific strategic objectives for decision making by CEOs regarding which PAs should be empowered and which do not require investment, etc. This proposal is formulated by rethinking PAs as dynamic elements armed with biomimetic intelligence. This means conceiving of PAs as live elements that interact and make use of swarm intelligence in order to provide a permanent overview of individual PA evolution and its impact on strategic goals. The NetLogo modelling and simulation tool was used to build the proposed model. The input for the simulation model was taken from a real experience of PAs previously identified and assessed in an information technology company.  相似文献

The information technology (IT) industry is not making the best possible use of its intangible process assets. The proposed process assets classification is grounded on the experience existing in the intellectual capital field. IT companies can use this classification to better identify and classify their process assets, thereby gaining an overview of the elements on which their processes depend and incrementing their intellectual capital. Two IT companies participated in a case study in which company chief executive and chief operations officers used the proposed classification, which they considered very useful, to identify a set of important process assets not previously taken into account.  相似文献

Magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) is the examination method of choice for the diagnosis of a variety of diseases. MRI allows us to obtain not only anatomical information but also identification of physiological and functional parameters such as networks in the brain and tumor cellularity, which plays an increasing role in oncologic imaging, as well as blood flow and tissue perfusion. However, in many cases such as in epilepsy, degenerative neurological diseases and oncological processes, additional metabolic and molecular information obtained by PET can provide essential complementary information for better diagnosis. The combined information obtained from MRI and PET acquired in a single imaging session allows a more accurate localization of pathological findings and better assessment of the underlying physiopathology, thus providing a more powerful diagnostic tool. Two hundred and twenty-one patients were scanned from April 2011 to January 2012 on a Philips Ingenuity TF PET/MRI system. The purpose of this review article is to provide an overview of the techniques used for the optimization of different protocols performed in our hospital by specialists in the following fields: neuroradiology, head and neck, breast, and prostate imaging. This paper also discusses the different problems encountered, such as the length of studies, motion artifacts, and accuracy of image fusion including physical and technical aspects, and the proposed solutions.  相似文献
