Studies of heat transfer and aerodynamics in bundles assembled from oval tubes

Results from studies of heat transfer and airdynamic drag in bundles assembled from oval tubes spaced at relative transverse pitches equal to 2.07, 2.24, and 2.62 and with a constant relative longitudinal pitch equal to 2.24 are presented. The influence of the bundle’s geometrical characteristics on its power efficiency is analyzed.

Development and industrial introduction of centrifugal modules of separator-steam superheaters for NPP’s turbine units

Results of separation and hydraulic studies of a single centrifugal module are presented. These studies were conducted at a water-air experimental facility. Preliminary tests of the TsSO-2200 separator made of centrifugal modules were carried out at power unit no. 1 of the Volgodonsk NPP.     

Freezing of water in vertical channels formed in a frozen soil layer

A determination is made of the maximum possible pressure in a water bubble located in the nonuniform temperature field of surrounding frozen soil which becomes permeable as it melts. Method of numerical solution of one-dimensional multifront stefan problems

A method for the approximate solution of a two-phase stefan problem with reverse motion of the front

Determination of the trajectory of a phase transition front moving in a forward or reverse direction is reduced to the solution of an ordinary differential equation.
