In this paper, we present a genetic algorithm for the Flexible Job-shop Scheduling Problem (FJSP). The algorithm integrates different strategies for generating the initial population, selecting the individuals for reproduction and reproducing new individuals. Computational result shows that the integration of more strategies in a genetic framework leads to better results, with respect to other genetic algorithms. Moreover, results are quite comparable to those obtained by the best-known algorithm, based on tabu search. These two results, together with the flexibility of genetic paradigm, prove that genetic algorithms are effective for solving FJSP.  相似文献

A simple technique for locating the position of Bragg grating reflectors in erbium-doped fibre lasers is proposed. The technique consists of the side detection of the pump radiation scattered from the grating. It is also possible to obtain the spatial period of the grating by measuring the diffraction angle, which closely depends on this parameter. The presence of von Willebrand factor (vWF) in human mesothelial cells is a controversial issue. The aim of this paper was to investigate the presence of vWF in human mesothelial cell cultures by means of multiple specific techniques and to compare the amount of vWF to that in endothelial cell cultures. Morphological evidence that vWF is present in the cell cytoplasm in human omentum mesothelial cells (HOMC) has been obtained by vWF staining by means of anti-vWF antibodies and immunofluorescence. The vWF concentration value (measured by ELISA) was 0.02 ng/mL in the supernatant of HOMC (160,000 ng/mL cells/mL after 12-48 hours) and between 0.08-0.12 ng/mL in the supernatant of endothelial cell cultures (160,000 cells/mL). Ethidium-bromide staining of PCR products recorded the typical vWF signal both in the endothelial and in the mesothelial cell cultures, although it was noticeably more intense in the endothelial cell culture. These data show that minimal but significant amounts of vWF are present in human mesothelial cell cultures.  相似文献

It has been shown that topical linoleic acid rich-phosphatidylcholine seems to be effective in normalization of follicular hyperkeratinization, whereas nicotinamide has an interesting anti-inflammatory effect. However, little is known about their combined effect on acne. A multicentre, double-blind, 12-week randomized vehicle and parallel-active control study was conducted by clinical and biophysical non-invasive measurements to evaluate the efficacy, tolerability and safety of a 4% nicotinamide-phospholipidic (N-PHCL) emulsion vs. 1% topical clindamycin phosphate applied once daily. Four percentage N-PHCL cosmetic treatment resulted slightly superior to topical clindamycin with all the parameters studied for its better compliance and the global clinical improvement.  相似文献

The overall fibrinolytic activity is depressed in patients with chronic renal failure where a prothrombotic state is described, thereby enhancing the risk of vascular occlusive events. The mechanism responsible for fibrinolysis derangement has not yet been elucidated. To evaluate the effect of the uremic environment on the fibrinolytic activity of endothelial cells, we studied plasminogen activator (t-PA) and plasminogen activator inhibitor type 1 (PAI-1) production by human umbilical vein endothelial cells (HUVEC) in culture, exposed either to uremic or normal sera, before and after cytokine stimulation. Twenty uremics were studied: 11 were on conservative dietary treatment and nine were on maintenance hemodialysis. Eight healthy subjects served as controls. Before cytokine stimulation, no difference in the HUVEC supernatant concentration of t-PA and PAI-1 was found among the groups studied. After stimulation with interleukin (IL)-1 and tumor necrosis factor (TNF)-alpha, the HUVEC supernatant levels of PAI-1 in the uremics were higher than in the controls, whereas the supernatant levels of t-PA did not differ. Our data provide evidence that uremic serum, in concert with IL-1 or TNF-alpha, can enhance PAI-1 secretion by endothelial cells, thereby depressing the fibrinolytic system. This impaired endothelial fibrinolytic response to hypercoagulation could favor vascular events, which are the major cause of morbidity and mortality in patients with chronic uremia.  相似文献

This study was aimed at examining whether four intrarenal echo-Doppler velocimetric indices (pulsatility and resistive indices, acceleration and acceleration time) can be useful for assessing the effects of renal artery dilation obtained with either angioplasty or stent implantation. Echo-Doppler studies were performed in 63 hypertensive patients with 68 renal artery stenoses (39 atherosclerotic and 29 fibromuscular) prior to and within five days after the dilation procedures (55 angioplasties, 13 stent implantations), which resulted in an average reduction of arterial narrowing from 79% to 20%. In 24 patients, the velocimetric indices were also examined in relationship to the venoarterial differences of plasma renin activity and of angiotensin II across the stenotic kidneys. We found that after dilation the values of the four indices had returned within the normal range in all but three arteries (one false negative for resistive index and two for acceleration time). However, decrements in acceleration time was the only factor to be significantly correlated with the reduction of arterial narrowing. Moreover, postdilation values of this index were, on average, slightly but significantly higher in arteries that at follow-up developed restenosis rather than in those that remained patent. For similar reductions in arterial narrowing the absolute changes of all indices were similar in atherosclerotic and fibromuscular stenotic arteries and, in a subset of the atheromatous arteries, were also similar after angioplasty and stent implantation. No relationship was found with the changes in the venoarterial differences of plasma renin activity and angiotensin II. It appears that these intrarenal velocimetric indices and, in particular, acceleration time reliably reflect the technical success of renal artery dilation. The acceleration time index may also be valuable for predicting the restenosis of the dilated vessel. None of the indices, however, mirrors the functional consequences of removal of renal artery stenosis as expressed through the changes in transrenal gradients of the components of the renin-angiotensin system.  相似文献

In this study, the shape memory effect of SMA beams under complex stress conditions is studied by means of a finite element model. The 1D version of a well-established SMA constitutive model is utilized in the numerical computations and the required parameters are obtained experimentally starting from thermal cycling tests in tension under different constant loads. After being calibrated, the model is used to compute the deformation of beams loaded in bending and undergoing thermal cycling; three-point bending and cantilever configurations are considered in this stage. Finally, the response predicted by the model is compared to experimental results and model capabilities are discussed. In particular, insight of the stress and strain evolution in bending is provided.  相似文献
