Due to the importance of the stage of maturity on several olive pomological parameters and oil quality indices, and to the interest that Tunisian olive oil production has recently received, the optimal harvesting period for the main Tunisian olive cultivar, Chemlali, was assessed. For the first time, a four‐season crops study, carried out in three representative geographical areas, was focused on both olive fruit pomological parameters and oil chemical composition at different stages of maturity. The stage of maturity was the factor showing the highest influence on the major part of these parameters, followed by the crop year. To guarantee a reasonable fat content and a good chemical quality of oil, in particular a harmonious acidic composition, acceptable UV absorbance, and a content high of antioxidants, unsaponifiable matter and sterols, the optimal harvesting period for Chemlali olives would appears to be between the end of November to the middle of December, which corresponds to a maturity index between 2.5 and 3.5.  相似文献

Newly designed gels for electrophoresis protein separation were synthesized from acrylamide, N,N′‐methylenebis (acrylamide) and dextran mixtures. Radical polymerization was initiated by ammonium persulfate and N,N,N′,N′‐tetramethylethylenediamine. The time dependence of absorbance during polymerization was monitored using UV‐visible spectroscopy. The exothermic polymerization process exhibited a sharp rise of temperature reminiscent of the Trommsdorff effect. The swelling kinetics of the synthesized gels was examined in deionized water and buffer solutions. One of the challenges was to find an alternative to commercial products, sold as mixtures with no detailed chemical contents, commonly used in sodium dodecylsulfate polyacrylamide gel electrophoresis (SDS‐PAGE) for protein separation. For this reason, a systematic comparison was made of the properties of one of the most commonly used commercial gels, Duracryl? from Genomics Solution Inc., and those of the synthesized polyacrylamide/dextran gels. Increasing concentration of sulfuryl chloride during the photosulfochlorination reaction under visible light shows that under these conditions n-alkanes react at high conversion rates instead of the conversion rate of 15% reported in the literature. This photosulfochlorination with sulfuryl chloride leads to better and more interesting results compared with those of photosulfochlorination by gas mixture. Indeed, nearly total conversion of n-alkanes, specifically n-heptane, n-dodecane, n-tetradecane, and n-hexadecane, occurred in pure phase, with a quantitative global yield, a sulfochlorination-to-chlorination molar ratio of about 1, and a relative reactivity of secondary to primary hydrogen of about 2.5, at a reaction temperature of 30°C and a reaction time of 120 min, using 2×10−2 mol L−1 of pyridine. Under these conditions, no polysulfochlorinated compounds are detected. These results are further improved using chlorobenzene as the solvent, instead of benzene. Indeed, the sulfochlorination of n-heptane at a conversion rate of 80% in the presence of chlorobenzene leads also to a quantitative reaction yield, a higher RSO2Cl/RCl molar ratio, and, as expected, a high selectivity of secondary over primary hydrogen. Under these conditions, sulfochlorination of long-chain n-alkanes leads to the highest RSO2Cl/RCl molar ratio for n-dodecane, n-tetradecane, and n-hexadecane belonging to detergent range, and the value of the molar ratio for these is between 1.45 and 1.7. The isomeric distribution of sulfochlorinated compounds obtained during sulfochlorination in the presence of solvent resembles that of secondary alkanesul-fonates produced by sulfoxidation reaction, whereas that obtained in pure phase has a similar conversion rate, is rich in primary isomer, and thus is different from that of classic radical reactions such as photochlorination or photosulfochlorination with gas mixture.  相似文献

The aim of this work was to study the suitability of camel milk for the production of dairy products by lactic acid fermentation. Sixty strains of lactic acid bacteria (LAB) were isolated from camel milk. The strains were tested for their acidification activity, ability to use citrate, exopolysaccharide production, lipolytic, proteolytic activities and resistance to antibiotics. Ten strains were investigated for their ability to metabolize carbohydrates and that resulted in the identification of 5 Lactococcus lactis, 1 Lactobacillus pentosus, 2 Lactobacillus plantarum, 1 Lactobacillus brevis and 1 Pediococcus pentosaceus strains. Two strains of Lactococcus lactis SCC133 and SLch14 were selected to produce traditional Tunisian fermented dairy products (Lben, Raib, Jben cheese and Smen). These strains were chosen based on their acid production capacity and their ability to produce a high yield of biomass.  相似文献

The available electricity generated by a wind power generation system depends on mean wind speed, standard deviation of wind speed and the location of installation. Since year-to-year variation on annual mean wind speed is hard to predict, wind speed variations during a year can be well characterized in terms of a probability distribution function, as well Weibull distribution has been one of the most commonly used, accepted and recommended distribution to determine wind energy potential. In this study, the two Weibull parameters of the wind speed distribution function (the shape parameter k (dimensionless) and the scale parameter c (m/s)), were computed from the wind speed data for Algerian east coastal regions, recording over a 1 l-year period (1995-2005). It was found that the numerical values of both Weibull parameters (k and c) vary over a wide range. The yearly values ofk range from 1.20 to 1.94, while those of c are in the range from 4.31 to 1.94. To minimize the uncertainties of statistical calculation, a spatial representation indicating distribution and occurrence frequency the direction from which the wind comes, appears a very primordial step. Over the whole valid data during the study period, the compass shows that there is no dominant direction marked. However, we can identify a preferred wind direction. The statistical results correspond to the analysis of the rose compass.  相似文献

Adulteration of virgin olive oil with less expensive oils is a serious problem for the public and quality control evaluators of olive oil. That is why olive oil authenticity has become a major issue for producers, consumers, and policy makers. In order to avoid fraud to consumers, it is crucial to study the traceability of olive oil. This review covers 2 important techniques, analytical, and molecular methods, used to characterize olive oil and detect possible adulteration. Several analytical techniques are discussed for the detection of olive oil adulteration by analyzing minor and major compounds of olive oil. However, the chemical composition of olive oil can dramatically change due to the environmental and processing conditions. For this reason, the DNA‐based technologies are gaining greater attention now because they are not influenced by environmental conditions and provide an opportunity for direct comparison of different genetic materials. In this review, we emphasize the great potential of different authenticity methods and discuss their practical implementation in olive oil traceability.  相似文献

This study aims to evaluate some Tunisian olive genetic resources using fatty acid, triacyglycerol and sterolic compositions and to classify the cultivars according to their fruit genotype and to their respective geographical origin (North, Centre and South). manova results showed that the studied cultivars presented highly significant differences regarding all the variables (P < 0.01). The most discriminant variables of fatty acids are C17:1 (F = 98.468), C16:0 (F = 92.994), C18:1 (F = 60.865), C18:1/C18:2 (F = 44.632) and C18:2 (F = 40.167); those of triacylglycerols are POP (F = 123.34), LLL (F = 122.944), LnLO (F = 98.363), POO (F = 93.357) and LOO (F = 90.42), while sitostanol (F = 289.171), campestanol (F = 192.792) and campesterol (F = 160.724) have the higher discriminant power among sterol compounds. Principal component analysis (PCA) was performed on the data of each chemical parameter to explore their usefulness for the discrimination of eleven monovarietal olive oils. Best differentiations among cultivars were obtained with triacyglycerol and sterolic compositions. The spatial distribution of the different oil samples using all the collected data showed a good discrimination among olive cultivars. A strong resolution between the samples according to the geographical origin was obtained by means of factorial discriminant analysis (FDA) (λ = 0.002). Comparisons of the distances between classes were statistically significant (Fisher tests; P < 0.0001), and 90.91% of cross‐validated grouped cases are correctly classified. The obtained results could become an important tool for sorting out oils to a single cultivar or to a specific geographical area.  相似文献

Four different Aspergilli (Aspergillus oryzae, A. parasiticus, A. terreus and A. versicolor) were grown on wheat grains underdifferent degrees of relative humidity 14, 50, 74, 80 and 90%. Samples of wheat grains were taken monthly for a period of six months and examined for mycotoxin production. A. oryzae was found to produce aflatoxins B1, B2, zearalenone, DON and T-2 toxins under elevated degrees of humidity and prolonged periods of storage. A. parasiticus produced aflatoxins B1, G1, NIV, DON and T-2 toxins in high concentrations during a period of not more than three months storage at 14% relative humidity; at an increased level of relative humidity of 74% ochratoxin A, zearalenone and sterigmatocystin were also produced at high levels. The isolate was drastic in toxin production. A. terrus produced toxins at 14% relative humidity (aflatoxin G2 and DON) at levels much higher than any other prevalent degrees of humidity. A. versicolor is highly sensitive to relative humidity and grain moisture content It produced aflatoxins B1, G1, NIV and DON at a relative humidity of 50% and another toxins (aflatoxin G2, ochratoxins A, B and zearalenone) at 74%. The microorganism can be considered a trichothecene producer under suitable relative humidity.  相似文献

Six essential oils (EOs), Juniperus phoenicea (leaves and berries), Thymus capitatus, Lauris nobilis, Melaleuca armillaris, and Eucalyptus gracilis, were screened for their antioxidant and antihypertensive activity as well as their chemical compositions. We identified and quantified 24 compounds (representing 99.8% of total oil) for J. phoenicea leaves, 14 compounds (representing 98.8% of total oil) for J. phoenicea berries, 11 compounds (representing 99.6% of total oil) for T. capitatus, 32 compounds (representing 98.9% of total oil) for L. nobilis, 32 compounds (representing 98.7% of total oil) for M. armillaris, and 26 compounds (representing 99.3% of total oil) for E. gracilis. In the 1,1-diphenyl-2-picrylhydrazyl (DPPH) assay, the antioxidant activity was in the range of 0.59 to 2183.6 mg/L, whereas T. capitatus (1.24 ± 0.05 mg/L) gave the best activity in the 2,2'-azinobis-3-ethylbenzothiazoline-6-sulfonate assay. Antihypertensive activity was evaluated by testing the vasorelaxing capacity of EOs on rat aorta precontracted by phenylephrine (10(-6) M). T. capitatus and L. nobilis were most active for an antihypertensive activity (29 ± 3 and 59 ± 2 mg/L, respectively). Correlations between chemical composition or antioxidant activity and/or antihypertensive activity were studied. Significant correlation has been found for antihypertensive activity and p-cymene (R(2) = 0.86), β-elemene (R(2) = 0.90), and β-myrcene (R(2) = 0.76). A good correlation has been found between antihypertensive activity and antioxidant activity by DPPH assay (R(2) = 0.98). Antioxidant activity can contribute to the prevention of the increase of the blood pressure. According to the literature, no study has been reported until now of correlation between antihypertensive activity and antioxidant activity. Natural EOs can find its interest and application in a medicinal area.  相似文献

Photovoltaic (PV) systems and fuel cells (FCs) represent interesting solutions as being alternative power sources with high performance and low emission. This work presents a modeling and control study of two power generators; photovoltaic array and fuel cell based systems. An MPPT approach to optimize the PV system performances is proposed. The PV system consists of a PV array connected to a DC-DC buck converter and a resistive load. A maximum power point tracker controller is required to extract the maximum generated power. Based on Incremental Conductance (INC) principle, the idea of the proposed control is to use a Fuzzy Logic Controller (FLC) that allows the choice of the duty cycle step size which is used to be fixed in conventional MPPT algorithms. The variable step is computed according to the value of the PV power-voltage characteristic slope. The second working system comprises a controlled DC-DC converter fed by a proton exchange membrane fuel cell (PEMFC) and supplies a DC bus. The mathematical model of the PEMFC system is given. The converter duty cycle is adjusted in order to regulate the DC bus voltage. Obtained simulation results validate the control algorithms for both of studied power systems.  相似文献
