Globalization has resulted in increasing use of knowledge as competitive weapon in many organizations nowadays. In this context, an increasing number of organizations are focusing on communities of practice (CoPs) orientated knowledge management (KM) studies and the links between KM and organizational business strategy. This link is an important determinant of organizational performance. While KM business strategy (linked to organization business strategy) is important, knowledge sharing behavior of knowledge workers is a critical enabler of effective knowledge management and organizational performance. That is, organizations invest resources in creating CoPs for competitive advantage and lack of suitable candidates will result in loss of momentum and less knowledge sharing in CoPs and there by underutilizing the resources. The aim of this research is to identify the personality traits to portrait the features of knowledge workers suitable for CoPs oriented KM and business strategy. Four KM business strategies have been established in this paper in light of organization performance orientation and KM implementation mode and traits of knowledge workers are mapped to different business strategies. The most significant personality traits of knowledge sharing behavior have been analyzed to determine the suitable traits for different type business strategies. Thus contributions of this paper include (a) defining a model which links four business strategies with CoPs orientated KM model and knowledge sharing behavior model (based on revised Five Factor Model); (b) mapping of personality traits of knowledge workers with four business strategies; (c) providing a guideline to knowledge based organizations for seamless integration of business strategy with CoPs oriented KM and compatible knowledge workers and d) more effective utilization of organizational resources to facilitate improvement in organizational performance.  相似文献

A sulfur/poly(acrylonitrile)–PAN/acetylene black–AB composite, comprising sulfur and PAN encapsulated in the pores of AB was prepared by a solution‐based technique with dimethyl sulfoxide as the solvent. The composite was characterized by TGA, X‐ray diffraction, FTIR, Raman, SEM, TEM, and BET studies. The composite exhibited a high discharge capacity of 1330 mAh/g in the first cycle. The AB additive plays multiple roles in the composite, acting as a conducting matrix for electron transport and as a porous framework that adsorbs and retains electrolyte. The presence of PAN along with the porous carbon matrix in the composite provides the necessary resilience to absorb strains due to volume expansion during cycling. The observed improved performance of the composite is primarily attributed to the small size and homogeneous distribution of sulfur in the composite. © 2018 Wiley Periodicals, Inc. J. Appl. Polym. The 1:1 and 1:2 adducts of aluminum borohydride (Al(BH4)3) and the Lewis base triethylenediamine (TEDA) and their thermal decomposition products were synthesized and structurally characterized by Raman spectroscopy, X-ray diffraction, and thermogravimetric analysis. Both adducts are more stable than Al(BH4)3 with respect to thermal decomposition and release of diborane. The structural analysis indicates that stabilization occurs through the donation of electron density through the N–Al dipolar bonds, leading to a more ionic character of the borohydride subunit. The 1:2 adduct, which has more electron donation, shows more ionic character and greater stability. For both adducts, the displaced borohydride group forms a dipolar bond with the second N lone pair of the TEDA, preserving much of the H content of the material. Decomposition occurs by internal rearrangement of borohydride, forming 1:1 and 1:2 TEDA·BH3 adducts, followed by release of H2 from the Al bonding center. The relative stability of the adducts encourages continuing exploration of Lewis base-stabilized borohydrides as an improved hydrogen storage material.  相似文献

The ability of neural networks to learn from repeated exposure to system characteristics has made them a popular choice for many applications in linear and non-linear control. In this paper, the capabilities of neural networks in detecting and accommodating control surface failures for a modified F/A-18 super-manoeuverable fighter aircraft are examined. To detect and accommodate a failure in the thrust vectoring vane during a pitch manoeuvre, a hierarchical neuro-controller is designed using thrust vectoring, symmetric leading edge flap and the throttle. This neuro- controller is then used as the fault accommodating neuro- controller. A separate neural network is trained to detect failures in the thrust vectoring vane. The performance of the controller and fault-detection networks are verified using a numerical simulation of a longitudinal model of the aircraft.  相似文献
