A 35-yr-old female presented with symptoms of obstructive jaundice. Liver biopsy, bone marrow aspiration, and biopsy revealed systemic mastocytosis and acute myeloid leukemia. The liver biopsy specimen showed infiltration of mast cells within portal tracts with periductal and portal edema, irregularity of interlobular duct epithelium, and centrizonal cholestasis. Endoscopic retrograde cholangiography was normal. Following chemotherapy treatment with idarubicin and cytarabine for seven days for AML, the bilirubin levels continued to increase for two weeks and then decreased, reaching normal levels in two months. Infiltration of mast cells in the liver leads to hepatomegaly, liver function abnormality and rarely portal hypertension. Intrahepatic cholestasis due to systemic mastocytosis has never been reported. We report a rare case of systemic mastocytosis causing intrahepatic cholestasis that resolved with remission of AML following chemotherapy. 相似文献

Cloud computing is seeking attention as a new computing paradigm to handle operations more efficiently and cost-effectively. Cloud computing uses dynamic resource provisioning and de-provisioning in a virtualized environment. The load on the cloud data centers is growing day by day due to the rapid growth in cloud computing demand. Elasticity in cloud computing is one of the fundamental properties, and elastic load balancing automatically distributes incoming load to multiple virtual machines. This work is aimed to introduce efficient resource provisioning and de-provisioning for better load balancing. In this article, a model is proposed in which the fuzzy logic approach is used for load balancing to avoid underload and overload of resources. A Simulator in Matlab is used to test the effectiveness and correctness of the proposed model. The simulation results have shown that our proposed intelligent cloud-based load balancing system empowered with fuzzy logic is better than previously published approaches. 相似文献

In this article, the effects of magnetic field versus the thin liquid film water‐based ferrum oxide (Fe3O4) and carbon nanotubes (CNTs) nanofluids have been studied through stretching cylinder. The iron oxide and CNTs (single‐wall [SWCNTs] or multi‐wall [MWCNTs]) have been used as nanoparticles in carrier fluid water (H2O). To the flow field, magnetic effects are applied vertically. The modeled system of partial differential equations are transformed to nonlinear ordinary differential equations by selecting variables. The analytic solution has been obtained through homotopy analysis method. The obtained results are further compared with the numerical ND‐solve method. The embedded constraints impacts are focused on pressure distribution, velocity profile, heat transfer, Nusselt number, and Skin friction through graphical illustration and tables. The dispersion of Fe3O4 and CNTs in base fluid significantly enhanced the mechanism of heat transfer. Moreover, from the results, it has been observed that the MWCNTs have a greater impact on heat transfer, velocity, and pressure profile. 相似文献

In this work, an efficient numerical method is introduced for solving one-dimensional batch crystallization models with size-dependent growth rates. The proposed method consist of two parts. In the first part, a coupled system of ordinary differential equations (ODEs) for the moments and the solute concentration is numerically solved to obtain their discrete values in the time domain of interest. These discrete values are also used to get growth and nucleation rates in the same time domain. To overcome the issue of closure, a Gaussian quadrature method based on orthogonal polynomials is employed for approximating integrals appearing in the ODE system. In the second part, the discrete growth and nucleation rates along with the initial crystal size distribution (CSD) are used to construct the final CSD. The expression for CSD is obtained by applying the method of characteristics and Duhamel's principle on the given population balance model (PBM). The proposed method is efficient, accurate, and easy to implement in the computer. Several numerical test problems of batch crystallization processes are considered. For a validation, the results of the proposed technique are compared with those obtained using a high resolution finite volume scheme. 相似文献
