Transition metal oxyhydroxides have been used as promising electrocatalysts for water splitting however, their catalytic activity is restricted due to low surface area and poor conductivity. Herein, we report novel composite FeOOH@ZIF-12/graphene composite as electrocatalyst for water oxidation, whereby ZIF-12 provide extra surface for the FeOOH dispersion whilst graphene act as excellent electron mediator. The composite shows a low overpotential value of 291 mV to attain a current density of 10 mA cm?2 and a low Tafel slope value of 78 mV dec?1. The catalyst offers a maximum current density of 101 mA cm?2, while it gives a turnover frequency (TOF) value of 0.031 s?1 at an overpotential of 291 mV only. The excellent activity and remarkable stability of composite is attributed to highly conductive and porous support.  相似文献

A nicotinic cholinergic antagonist, mecamylamine (MEC), was administered to rabbits tested on eyeblink classical conditioning (EBCC) in the 750-msec delay paradigm for 10 90-trial sessions. Nicotinic receptors were measured in 3 brain regions in S treatment groups: paired conditioned stimulus–unconditioned stimulus (CS–UCS) presentations with (1) vehicle, young; (2) vehicle, older; (3) 0.5 mg/kg MEC, young; unpaired CS–UCS with (4) 0.5 mg/kg MEC, young; and (5) vehicle, young. Daily MEC injections disrupted acquisition in young rabbits (769 trials to learning criterion vs 323 trials for vehicle-treated young rabbits). MEC-treated young rabbits learned similarly to older rabbits. Brain nicotinic receptors were not affected by 10 daily MEC injections. To our knowledge, this experimental protocol, using a low MEC dose to selectively inhibit nicotinic cholinergic receptors, is the first to demonstrate a role for nicotinic cholinergic receptors in EBCC. Toll-like receptor (TLR) signaling plays a critical role in the induction and progression of autoimmune diseases such as rheumatoid arthritis, systemic lupus erythematous, experimental autoimmune encephalitis, type 1 diabetes mellitus and neurodegenerative diseases. Deciphering antigen recognition by antibodies provides insights and defines the mechanism of action into the progression of immune responses. Multiple strategies, including phage display and hybridoma technologies, have been used to enhance the affinity of antibodies for their respective epitopes. Here, we investigate the TLR4 antibody-binding epitope by computational-driven approach. We demonstrate that three important residues, i.e., Y328, N329, and K349 of TLR4 antibody binding epitope identified upon in silico mutagenesis, affect not only the interaction and binding affinity of antibody but also influence the structural integrity of TLR4. Furthermore, we predict a novel epitope at the TLR4-MD2 interface which can be targeted and explored for therapeutic antibodies and small molecules. This technique provides an in-depth insight into antibody–antigen interactions at the resolution and will be beneficial for the development of new monoclonal antibodies. Computational techniques, if coupled with experimental methods, will shorten the duration of rational design and development of antibody therapeutics.  相似文献

The present article introduced a novel idea for information hiding namely steganography. We have used new notions for the construction of the nonlinear component for block cipher based on inverse LA-semigroups. This nonlinear component fundamentally provides confidentiality in the proposed steganographic algorithm. The construction of the algorithm is fundamentally twofold. Firstly, we have constructed a novel scheme to design confusion component namely substitution box (S-box). Secondly, we have utilized the anticipated nonlinear component in digital steganography. The suggested algorithm is tested for different standard digital images. The authentication of the proposed algorithm is confirmed through statistical analysis.

To grapple with multidrug resistant bacterial infections, implementations of antibacterial nanomedicines have gained prime attention of the researchers across the globe. Nowadays, zinc oxide (ZnO) at nano‐scale has emerged as a promising antibacterial therapeutic agent. Keeping this in view, ZnO nanostructures (ZnO‐NS) have been synthesised through reduction by P. aphylla aqueous extract without the utilisation of any acid or base. Structural examinations via scanning electron microscopy (SEM) and X‐ray diffraction have revealed pure phase morphology with highly homogenised average particle size of 18 nm. SEM findings were further supplemented by transmission electron microscopy examinations. The characteristic Zn–O peak has been observed around 363 nm using ultra‐violet–visible spectroscopy. Fourier‐transform infrared spectroscopy examination has also confirmed the formation of ZnO‐NS through detection of Zn–O bond vibration frequencies. To check the superior antibacterial activity of ZnO‐NS, the authors'' team has performed disc diffusion assay and colony forming unit testing against multidrug resistant E. coli, S. marcescens and E. cloacae. The Key Expansion Function is a vital constituent component of any block cipher. Many of Key Expansion Functions generate subkeys through the algorithms which are based on Feistel or Substitution Permutation Network (SPN) structures against which cryptanalytic methods have been well researched. In this very paper, an efficient method for generating subkeys based on chaotic maps has been suggested. The phenomenon behind the proposed Key Expansion Function is the mixing property of Tent Map. Using chaotic binary sequences, the proposed Key Expansion Function satisfies the specific statistical and cryptographic properties of chaotic generators. A new Bit Extraction Technique based on IEEE-754 Floating-point Standard (binary32) is used to extract the bits of subkeys from the chaotic binary sequences. The generated subkeys are then analyzed. The results show that the given Chaos-based Key Expansion Function is well protected and fully strengthened in all respects.  相似文献

The effect of metal(Ti,Ni,and Au) electrodes on humidity sensing properties of electrospun TiO2 nanofibers was investigated in this work.The devices were fabricated by evaporating metal contacts on SiO2 layer thermally grown on silicon substrate.The separation between the electrodes was 90μm for all sensors.The sensors were tested from 40%to 90%relative humidity(RH) by AC electrical characterization at room temperature. When sensors are switched between 40%and 90%RH,the corresponding response and recovery time are 3 s and 5 s for Ti-electrode sensor,4 s and 7 s for Ni-electrode sensor,and 7 s and 13 s for Au-electrode sensor.The hysteresis was 3%,5%and 15%for Ti-,Ni-,and Au-electrode sensor,respectively.The sensitivity of Ti,Ni,and Au-electrode sensors are 7.53 MΩ/%RH,5.29 MΩ/%RH and 4.01 MΩ/%RH respectively at 100 Hz.Therefore Ti-electrode sensor is found to have linear response,fast response and recovery time and higher sensitivity as compared with those of Ni- and Au-electrode sensors.Comparison of humidity sensing properties of sensors with different electrode material may propose a compelling route for designing and optimizing humidity sensors.  相似文献
