Silicoaluminophosphate (SAPO-5) molecular sieves have been synthesised from reaction mixtures having a molar composition of: 0.7–1.0 Al2O3:0.7–1.0 P2O5:0.01–2.0 SiO2:xR:40 H2O (where R = (C2H3)3N or (C2H3)4NOH and x = 1.5–2.5 for (C2H5)5N and 0.5 for (C2H5)4NOH, at 473 K using various sources of alumina and silica. The effects of (i) varying the crystallinity of the alumina source (boehmite) and (ii) the use of different silica sources such as freshly prepared silica either from sodium silicate or paddy husk extract, silica gel from commercial water-glass, and tetraethyl orthosilicate have been studied. The crystallinity of boehmite has been found to have a strong effect on its reactivity towards the formation of SAPO-5. The activity of boehmite for SAPO-5 formation increased with a decrease in its crystallinity (or with increase in its moisture content). Any silica source devoid of sodium ions could be employed for the synthesis of SAPO-5. The process of crystallisation started as early as within 1.5 h of reaction and incorporation of silicon into the AlPO4 framework has been noted at this stage. Formation of some tridymite phase as impurity has been observed under conditions such as (i) SiO2 concentration > 1.7 mole and (ii) x > 2.0 when R = (C2H5)3N.  相似文献

Abstract: Electronics manufacturing is the fastest growing segment of the manufacturing domain today. The rapid change in printed circuit board manufacturing has been possible with the induction of surface-mounted components and robotic assembly. The high density packaging capability of surface-mounted technology has contributed enormously to the development of new trends in printed circuit board manufacturing.
PCAAD—Printed Circuit Board Assembly Advisor—is an expert system developed to capture this new technology and its interaction with the existing through-hole-mounting technology. In building the system, rules and guidelines pertaining to assembly are formulated and incorporated into the knowledge-base. The system is built on an object-oriented paradigm. The object-oriented approach, Smalltalk-80, the object-oriented language and the hierarchical rule structure paradigm are briefly discussed. A rating system is also introduced to rank various assembly designs. PCAAD can advise whether or not to proceed with assembly with a particular assembly design, and suggests assembly modification at the early stage of design to eliminate the assembly problems in the later phase of board production.  相似文献

In this paper, we use reinforcement learning (RL) as a tool to study price dynamics in an electronic retail market consisting of two competing sellers, and price sensitive and lead time sensitive customers. Sellers, offering identical products, compete on price to satisfy stochastically arriving demands (customers), and follow standard inventory control and replenishment policies to manage their inventories. In such a generalized setting, RL techniques have not previously been applied. We consider two representative cases: 1) no information case, were none of the sellers has any information about customer queue levels, inventory levels, or prices at the competitors; and 2) partial information case, where every seller has information about the customer queue levels and inventory levels of the competitors. Sellers employ automated pricing agents, or pricebots, which use RL-based pricing algorithms to reset the prices at random intervals based on factors such as number of back orders, inventory levels, and replenishment lead times, with the objective of maximizing discounted cumulative profit. In the no information case, we show that a seller who uses Q-learning outperforms a seller who uses derivative following (DF). In the partial information case, we model the problem as a Markovian game and use actor-critic based RL to learn dynamic prices. We believe our approach to solving these problems is a new and promising way of setting dynamic prices in multiseller environments with stochastic demands, price sensitive customers, and inventory replenishments.  相似文献

Introduction Among conventional hemodialysis (CHD) patients, carbamylated serum albumin (C‐Alb) correlates with urea and amino acid deficiencies and is associated with mortality. We postulated that reduction of C‐Alb by intensive HD may correlate with improvements in protein metabolism and cardiac function. Methods One‐year observational study of in‐center nocturnal extended hemodialysis (EHD) patients and CHD control subjects. Thirty‐three patients receiving 4‐hour CHD who converted to 8‐hour EHD were enrolled, along with 20 controls on CHD. Serum C‐Alb, biochemistries, and cardiac MRI parameters were measured before and after 12 months of EHD. Findings EHD was associated with reduction of C‐Alb (average EHD change ?3.20 mmol/mol [95% CI ?4.23, ?2.17] compared to +0.21 [95% CI ?1.11, 1.54] change in CHD controls, P < 0.001). EHD was also associated with increases in average essential amino acids (in standardized units) compared to CHD (+0.38 [0.08, 0.68 95%CI]) vs. ?0.12 [?0.50, 0.27, 95% CI], P = 0.047). Subjects who reduced C‐Alb more than 25% were found to have reduced left ventricular mass, increased urea reduction ratio, and increased serum albumin compared to nonresponders, and % change in C‐Alb significantly correlated with % change in left ventricular mass. Discussion EHD was associated with reduction of C‐Alb as compared to CHD, and reduction of C‐Alb by EHD correlates with reduction of urea. Additional studies are needed to test whether reduction of C‐Alb by EHD also correlates with improved clinical outcomes.  相似文献

To meet the demand of very fast and agile optical networks, the optical processors in a network system should have a very fast execution rate, large information handling, and large information storage capacities. Multivalued logic operations and multistate optical flip-flops are the basic building blocks for such fast running optical computing and data processing systems. In the past two decades, many methods of implementing all-optical flip-flops have been proposed. Most of these suffer from speed limitations because of the low switching response of active devices. The frequency encoding technique has been used because of its many advantages. It can preserve its identity throughout data communication irrespective of loss of light energy due to reflection, refraction, attenuation, etc. The action of polarization-rotation-based very fast switching of semiconductor optical amplifiers increases processing speed. At the same time, tristate optical flip-flops increase information handling capacity.  相似文献

The ever increasing demand for very fast and agile optical networks requires very fast execution of different optical and logical operations as well as large information handling capacities at the same time. In conventional binary logic based operations the information is represented by two distinct states only (0 and 1 state). It limits the large information handling capacity and speed of different arithmetic and optical logic operations. Tristate based logic operations can be accommodated with optics successfully in data processing, as this type of operation can enhance the speed of operation as well as increase the information handling capacity. Here in this communication the author proposes a new method to implement all-optical different logic gates with tristate logic using the frequency-encoding principle. The frequency encoding/decoding based optical communication has distinctly great advantages because the frequency is the fundamental character of an optical signal and it preserves its identity throughout the communication. The principle of the rotation of the state of polarization of a probe beam through semiconductor optical amplifier (SOA), frequency routing property of an optical add/drop multiplexer (AD) and high frequency conversion property of reflecting semiconductor optical amplifiers (RSOA) have been exploited here to implement the desired AND, OR, NAND and NOR logic operations with tristate logic.  相似文献

Decarburization, slag formation, foaming, and slopping in basic oxygen furnace (BOF) can now be partly understood, and to some extent predicted with the help of several on-line measurements and on-line control models. The principal reaction in BOF is decarburization. The bulk of the decarburization takes place in the turbulent region of jet impact irrespective of the fact whether the slag is solid, liquid or foamy. Metal droplets are ejected from the jet impact zone but it is difficult to distinguish the decarburization occurring in the bulk metal from that occurring in the droplets. Slag in BOF is heterogeneous and always contains some entrained gas bubbles and solid material (either un-dissolved or precipitated). At no stage the slag is 100 % liquid. A significant part of the metal droplets fall back and travel through the semi liquid slag. Through this mechanism the droplets can cause slag foaming and slopping in the BOF. Phenomenon of slag foaming and slopping can be monitored and controlled by following, dynamically, the audio signals, gas flow rate and composition, by tracking ‘Chaos’ in chemical reactions, by manipulating the chaotic attractors, and by monitoring the lance water temperature and weight. Relative stability potential (RSP) diagrams are found to be a good indicator of the dynamics of process inside the BOF and help in advance prediction of the impending chaos.  相似文献

The paper addresses the problem of constructing large space structures (~100 m) by using autonomous robots to assemble modular components in space. We are motivated by the problem of creating space structures at a scale greater than what is feasible with a single self‐deploying design. We had two goals in this work. The first was to investigate and demonstrate the feasibility of long‐order multitask autonomy. The second was to study the balance between required tolerances in hardware design and robotic autonomy. This paper reports on a payload‐centric autonomy paradigm and presents results from laboratory demonstrations of automated assembly of structures using a multilimbed robotic platform. We present results with deployable 20 lb payloads (1 m trusses) that are robotically assembled to form a 3‐m diameter kinematically closed loop structure to subcentimeter accuracy. The robot uses its limbs to deploy the stowed modular structural components, manipulate them in free space, and assemble them via dual‐arm force control. We report on results and lessons learned from multiple successful end‐to‐end in‐lab demonstrations of autonomous truss assembly with JPL's RoboSimian robot originally developed for the Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency (DARPA). Videos of these demonstrations can be seen at https://goo.gl/muNLJp (JPL, 2017 ). Each end‐to‐end run took precisely 26 min to execute with very little variance across runs. We present changes/improvements to the RoboSimian system post‐DARPA Robotics Challenge (DRC) (Karumanchi et al., 2016 ). The new architecture has been improved with a focus on scalable autonomy as opposed to semiautonomy as required at the DRC.  相似文献
