The anodic dissolution of U and Zr metal was studied in LiCl–KCl–UCl3 and LiCl–KCl–ZrCl4, respectively, at 773 K by cyclic voltammetry and compared with their respective dissolution behaviour in blank LiCl–KCl eutectic. The anodic dissolution of U–Zr alloy in LiCl–KCl–UCl3 was also studied at 773 K to compare with the dissolution of U and Zr. The transfer coefficients evaluated by Tafel analysis and the method of Allen–Hickling for U and Zr dissolution were found to be in fair agreement with each other. U dissolution in LiCl–KCl–UCl3 and Zr dissolution LiCl–KCl–ZrCl4 were also studied by chronoamperometry and the diffusion coefficient value of U3+ was calculated to be in the range of 2.9 × 10−5 to 3.3 × 10−5 cm2 s−1 which is in agreement with those reported in literature. Convolution voltammetric analysis of Zr4+/Zr2+ redox couple in LiCl–KCl–ZrCl4 was carried out for the first time to have a comprehensive understanding of the electrode kinetics.  相似文献

A survey was conducted in south India to find out the amount of chromium (Cr) present in marketable black tea. Before assessing the Cr content in black tea, the Cr content in the green shoots was assessed, in order to know the Cr contamination after completion of the manufacturing process. Samples of black tea manufactured by CTC (Crush, Tear and Curl) and Orthodox processes were collected and analysed for Cr content. The study revealed that the content of Cr was high in CTC-manufactured black tea, which involved the use of stainless steel rollers. A pilot scale experiment was carried out, using newly sharpened rollers, and the black tea samples prepared were analysed for Cr content. A similar study was carried out in a commercial factory and samples analysed for Cr for one month. The study confirmed that Cr content was positively correlated to the sharpening of CTC rollers used for manufacturing.  相似文献

The large‐scale application of supercapacitors (SCs) for portable electronics is restricted by low energy density and cycling stability. To alleviate the limitations, a unique interface engineering strategy is suggested through atomic layer deposition (ALD) and nitrogen plasma. First, commercial carbon cloth (CC) is treated with nitrogen plasma and later inorganic NiCo2O4 (NCO)/NiO core–shell nanowire arrays are deposited on nitrogen plasma–treated CC (NCC) to fabricate the ultrahigh stable SC. An ultrathin layer of NiO deposited on the NCO nanowire arrays via conformal ALD plays a vital role in stabilizing the NCO nanowires for thousands of electrochemical cycles. The optimized NCC/NCO/NiO core–shell electrode exhibits a high specific capacitance of 2439 F g?1 with a remarkable cycling stability (94.2% over 20 000 cycles). Benefiting from these integrated merits, the foldable solid‐state SCs are fabricated with excellent NCC/NCO/NiO core–shell nanowire array electrodes. The fabricated SC device delivers a high energy density of 72.32 Wh kg?1 at a specific capacitance of 578 F g?1, with ultrasmall capacitance decline rate of 0.0003% per cycle over 10 000 charge–discharge cycles. Overall, this strategy offers a new avenue for developing a new‐generation high‐energy, ultrahigh stable supercapacitor for real‐life applications.  相似文献

Developing materials with the capability of changing their innate features can help to unravel direct interactions between cells and ligand-displaying features. This study demonstrates the grafting of magnetic nanohelices displaying cell-adhesive Arg-Gly-Asp (RGD) ligand partly to a material surface. These enable nanoscale control of rapid winding (“W”) and unwinding (“UW”) of their nongrafted portion, such as directional changes in nanohelix unwinding (lower, middle, and upper directions) by changing the position of a permanent magnet while keeping the ligand-conjugated nanohelix surface area constant. The unwinding (“UW”) setting cytocompatibility facilitates direct integrin recruitment onto the ligand-conjugated nanohelix to mediate the development of paxillin adhesion assemblies of macrophages that stimulate M2 polarization using glass and silicon substrates for in vitro and in vivo settings, respectively, at a single cell level. Real time and in vivo imaging are demonstrated that nanohelices exhibit reversible unwinding, winding, and unwinding settings, which modulate time-resolved adhesion and polarization of macrophages. It is envisaged that this remote, reversible, and cytocompatible control can help to elucidate molecular-level cell–material interactions that modulate regenerative/anti-inflammatory immune responses to implants.  相似文献

People communicate in a variety of ways via multimedia through the propagation of various techniques. Nowadays, variety of multimedia frameworks or techniques is used in various applications such as industries, software processing, vehicles and medical systems. The usage of multimedia frameworks in healthcare systems makes it possible to process, record and store huge amount of information generated by various medical records. However, the processing and management of huge records of every individual lead to overload the security risk and human efforts. The aim of this paper is to propose a secure and efficient technique that helps the medical organizations to process every record of individuals in a secure and efficient way. The proposed mechanism is validated against various security and processing metrics over conventional mechanisms such as Response Time, Message Alteration Record, Trusted Classification Accuracy and Record Accuracy. The analyzed results claim the significant improvement of proposed mechanism as compare to other schemes.

Tea is the most commonly consumed beverage in the world. It is prepared after infusing processed black tea in hot water. During the process of brewing, along with flavour and aroma, the residues of plant protection chemicals may also be transferred into the tea brew or infusion. The leaching of certain pesticides, such as ethion, endosulfan, dicofol, chlorpyrifos, deltamethrin, hexaconazole, fenpropathrin, propargite, quinalphos and lambdacyhalothrin from powdered black tea into the brew was studied. The rate of transfer of the pesticide residue from black tea to the hot brew was largely influenced by physicochemical parameters, such as water solubility and octanol-water partition coefficient. Tea brews prepared from untreated black tea samples were fortified with standard solutions of the respective pesticides, extracted and analysed using GC and HPLC by following standardised methods. Results revealed that the rate of leaching of residues of these pesticides into the tea brew was low due to their low solubilities in aqueous medium and high octanol-water partitioning coefficients.  相似文献

A profitable decision policy between a supplier and the retailers can be characterized by an agreement on the trade credit scenario such as permissible delay in payments. In real life business, we observe that the demand is a function of both the selling price and credit period rather than the constant demand. Incorporating this demand function to the retailer of a supply chain, we develop an EPQ – based model for perishable items under two-echelon trade financing. The purpose of this paper is to maximize the profit by determining the optimal selling price, credit period and replenishment time. It is shown that the model developed by Jaggi et al. [Jaggi, J. K., Goyal, S. K., & Goel, S. K., 2008. Retailer’s optimal replenishment decisions with creditlinked demand under permissible delay in payments. European Journal of Operational Research, 190, 130–135] can be treated as a special case of this paper. Finally, through numerical examples, sensitivity analysis shows the influence of key model parameters.  相似文献

Extracellular matrix (ECM) proteins containing cell-attachable Arg-Gly-Asp (RGD) sequences exhibit variable bridging and non-bridging in fibronectin-collagen and laminin-collagen complexes that can regulate inflammation, tissue repair, and wound healing. In this study, linking molecule-mediated conjugation of 1D magnetic nanocylinders (MNCs) to material surfaces pre-decorated with gold nanospheres (GNSs) is performed, thereby yielding RGD-coated MNCs (RGD-MNCs) over RGD-coated GNSs (RGD-GNSs) in a non-bridging state. The RGD-MNCs are drawn closer to the RGD-GNSs via magnetic field-mediated compression of the linking molecules to establish the bridging between them. Relative proportion of the RGD-MNCs to the RGD-GNSs is optimized to yield effective remote stimulation of integrin binding to variably bridged RGDs similar to that of invariably bridged RGDs used as a control group. Remote manipulation of the RGD bridging facilitates the attachment structure assembly of macrophages that leads to pro-healing/anti-inflammatory phenotype acquisition. In contrast, the non-bridged RGDs inhibited macrophage attachment that acquired pro-inflammatory phenotypes. The use of various nanomaterials in constructing heterogeneous RGD-coated materials can further offer various modes in remote switching of RGD bridging and non-bridging to understand dynamic integrin-mediated modulation of macrophages that regulate immunomodulatory responses, such as foreign body responses, tissue repair, and wound healing.  相似文献
