In this paper, numerical simulations of laminar, steady, two-dimensional natural convection flows in a square enclosure with discrete heat sources on the left and bottom walls are presented using a finite-volume method. Two different orientated wall boundary conditions are designed to investigate the natural convection features. The computational results are expressed in the form of streamlines and isothermal lines for Rayleigh numbers ranging from 102 to 107 in the cavity. In the course of study, a combination of third-order and exponential interpolating profile based on the convective boundedness criterion is proposed and tested against the partially heated cavity flow up to the highest Rayleigh number 107. The effects of thermal strength and heating length on the hydrodynamic and thermal fields inside the enclosure are also presented. Numerical results indicate that the average Nusselt number increases as Rayleigh number increases for both cases. Moreover, it is seen that the effect of the heat transfer rate due to the heating strength on the left wall is different from the one on the bottom. For the heater size effect, it is observed that by increasing the length of heat source segment, the heat transfer rate is gradually increased for both cases.  相似文献

From the leaves of Persea americana var. americana, eleven heptadecanol derivatives were identified. Their structures were elucidated on the basis of spectroscopic analyses. The absolute configurations were determined by chemical reaction, NOESY experiment and further comparison of the optical rotation value with the literature value. Additionally, the ratios of the contents of six heptadecanol derivatives in leaves, immature fruits, mature fruits and seeds of P. americana were estimated by LC-MS in multiple reaction monitoring (MRM) mode.  相似文献

Both in Taiwan and around the world, lung cancer is a primary cause of cancer-related deaths. In Taiwan, the most prevalent form of lung cancer is lung adenocarcinoma, a type of non-small-cell lung carcinoma. Although numerous lung cancer therapies are available, their clinical outcomes are unsatisfactory. Natural products, including fungal metabolites, are excellent sources of pharmaceutical compounds used in cancer treatment. We employed in vitro cell invasion, cell proliferation, cell migration, cell viability, and colony formation assays with the aim of evaluating the effects of coriloxin, isolated from fermented broths of Nectria balsamea YMJ94052402, on human lung adenocarcinoma CL1-5 and/or A549 cells. The potential targets regulated by coriloxin were examined through Western blot analysis. The cytotoxic effect of coriloxin was more efficiently exerted on lung adenocarcinoma cells than on bronchial epithelial cells. Moreover, low-concentration coriloxin significantly suppressed adenocarcinoma cells’ proliferative, migratory, and clonogenic abilities. These inhibitory effects were achieved through ERK/AKT inactivation, epithelial–mesenchymal transition regulation, and HLJ1 expression. Our findings suggest that coriloxin can be used as a multitarget anticancer agent. Further investigations of the application of coriloxin as an adjuvant therapy in lung cancer treatment are warranted.  相似文献

The fruit of Cnidium monnieri is commercially used as healthcare products for the improvement of impotence and skin diseases. Three new coumarins, 3''-O-methylmurraol (1), rel-(1''S,2''S)-1''-O-methylphlojodicarpin (2), and (1''S,2''S)-1''-O-methylvaginol (3), have been isolated from the fruits of C. monnieri, together with 14 known compounds (4–17). The structures of these new compounds were determined through spectroscopic and MS analyses. Compounds 1, 4–12, and 14–17 exhibited inhibition (IC50 ≤ 7.31 µg/mL) of superoxide anion generation by human neutrophils in response to formyl-l-methionyl-l-leucyl-l-phenylalanine/cytochalasin B (fMLP/CB). Compounds 7, 9–11, 15, and 17 inhibited fMLP/CB-induced elastase release with IC50 values ≤7.83 µg/mL. This investigation reveals that bioactive isolates (especially 6, 7, 14, and 17) could be further developed as potential candidates for the treatment or prevention of various inflammatory diseases.  相似文献

In 2008, financial tsunami started to impair the economic development of many countries, including Taiwan. The prediction of financial crisis turns to be much more important and doubtlessly holds public attention when the world economy goes to depression. This study examined the predictive ability of the four most commonly used financial distress prediction models and thus constructed reliable failure prediction models for public industrial firms in Taiwan. Multiple discriminate analysis (MDA), logit, probit, and artificial neural networks (ANNs) methodology were employed to a dataset of matched sample of failed and non-failed Taiwan public industrial firms during 1998–2005. The final models are validated using within sample test and out-of-the-sample test, respectively. The results indicated that the probit, logit, and ANN models which used in this study achieve higher prediction accuracy and possess the ability of generalization. The probit model possesses the best and stable performance. However, if the data does not satisfy the assumptions of the statistical approach, then the ANN approach would demonstrate its advantage and achieve higher prediction accuracy. In addition, the models which used in this study achieve higher prediction accuracy and possess the ability of generalization than those of [Altman, Financial ratios—discriminant analysis and the prediction of corporate bankruptcy using capital market data, Journal of Finance 23 (4) (1968) 589–609, Ohlson, Financial ratios and the probability prediction of bankruptcy, Journal of Accounting Research 18 (1) (1980) 109–131, and Zmijewski, Methodological issues related to the estimation of financial distress prediction models, Journal of Accounting Research 22 (1984) 59–82]. In summary, the models used in this study can be used to assist investors, creditors, managers, auditors, and regulatory agencies in Taiwan to predict the probability of business failure.  相似文献

Zanthoxylum avicennae is commercially used as healthcare products for the improvement of chronic hepatitis and rheumatism. Its fruit is also used as a spice. Five new coumarins, 5′-methoxyauraptene (1), 6,5′-dimethoxyauraptene (2), 5′-methoxycollinin (3), 7-((2′E,5′E)-7′-methoxy-3′,7′-dimethylocta-2′,5′-dienyloxy)coumarin (4), and 6-methoxy-7-((2′E,5′E)-7′-methoxy-3′,7′-dimethylocta-2′,5′-dienyloxy)coumarin (5), have been isolated from the leaves of Z. avicennae, together with 15 known compounds (620). The structures of these new compounds were determined through spectroscopic and MS analyses. Compounds 6, 915, and 18 exhibited inhibition (IC50 ? 8.29 μg/ml) of superoxide anion generation by human neutrophils in response to formyl-l-methionyl-l-leucyl-l-phenylalanine/cytochalasin B (fMLP/CB). Compounds 6, 10, 12, 14, and 18 inhibited fMLP/CB-induced elastase release with IC50 values ?6.30 μg/ml.  相似文献
