A new photocatalytic system consisting of two subsystems – Cu0/Cl/H+/UVssr and CuII/H+/TiO2/formic acid/UVssr – is proposed as a tool to produce hydrogen by reforming an organic species. Formic acid is used as hole scavenger during the experimental runs. An experimental campaign is carried out to demonstrate that the systems can generate hydrogen and to assess how the generation rate depends upon experimental conditions such as copper and TiO2 loads, chloride and proton ions, and formic acid concentrations. A strong dependence of the Cu0/Cl/H+/UVssr subsystem reactivity upon copper load, chloride concentration and pH is observed. The investigation on the complete system, starting from zero-valent copper, indicates that the addition of TiO2 and formic acid to the Cu0/Cl/H+/UVssr subsystem does not result into any gain in terms of hydrogen produced and, renders the system totally unreactive under some conditions. On the other hand, when a complete system, starting from cupric ions, is adopted, hydrogen production is observed also for prolonged reaction times with a surplus of hydrogen production with respect to that generated by the Cu0/Cl/H+/UVssr subsystem with the same Cu0 starting load and in absence of TiO2 and sacrificial agent.  相似文献

The objective of this work was to evaluate the influence of oil concentration and homogenization pressure on the emulsion and particle properties during the microencapsulation of basil essential oil by spray drying, using gum arabic as the wall material. Experiments were planned according a 22 rotational central composite design. The independent variables were oil concentration with respect to total solids (10–25%) and homogenization pressure (0–100 MPa). Emulsions were analyzed for droplet mean diameter, stability, and viscosity, and particles were analyzed for oil retention, moisture content, particle size, and morphology. Emulsion viscosity was not affected by any of the independent variables. The increase in the homogenization pressure from 0 to 100 MPa resulted in smaller emulsion droplet size (down to 0.40 µm) and, consequently, higher oil retention (up to 95%). On the other hand, higher oil loads (25%) resulted in poorer oil retention (51.22%). Microencapsulation of basil essential oil using gum arabic as the wall material proved to be a suitable process to obtain powdered basil essential oil, presenting great oil retention with the use of lower oil concentration and higher homogenization pressure.  相似文献

The effect of different osmotic pretreatments on cashew apple drying kinetics and product quality were investigated. The osmotic pretreatment was carried out in an incubator at constant temperature and agitation. The drying process was conducted in a fixed bed dryer at different temperatures and constant air velocity. Experimental data were fitted successfully using the Page and the two‐term exponential models for dried fresh and pretreated fruit, respectively. It was found that drying rates of osmosed fruits decreased owing to the presence of infused solutes. Evaluation of the final product was performed by means of ascorbic acid content, water activity and sensorial test. The osmotic pretreated samples showed the highest vitamin C losses and the lowest water activity. The samples pretreated in sucrose solution had the highest acceptance.  相似文献

This paper presents a semi-automatic methodology for fire scars mapping from a long time series of remote sensing data. Approximately, a hundred MSS images from different Landsat satellites were employed over an area of 32 100 km2 in the north-east of the Iberian Peninsula. The analysed period was from 1975 to 1993. Results are a map series of fire history and frequencies. Omission errors are 23% for burned areas greater than 200 ha while commission errors are 8% for areas greater than 50 ha. Subsequent work based on the resultant fire scars will also help in describing fire regime and in monitoring post-fire regeneration dynamics.  相似文献

The study of computer system dynamic behavior is a prerequisite for the design and implementation of automatic mechanisms for performance control. An analytic technique for modelling the transient behavior of computer systems is presented and a suitable method for modelling job dynamics is given.

The system model is discussed from the viewpoint of transient analysis with particular reference to bottleneck identification and to bottleneck migration analysis.

A mathematical study is given together with a numerical algorithm. The model is validated on the basis of suitable experimental results.  相似文献

The objective of this paper is to present a method for mapping burnt areas in Brazilian Amazonia using Terra MODIS data. The proposed approach is based on image segmentation of the shade fraction images derived from MODIS, using a non‐supervised classification algorithm followed by an image editing procedure for minimizing misclassifications. Acre State, the focus of this study, is located in the western region of Brazilian Amazonia and undergoing tropical deforestation. The extended dry season in 2005 affected this region creating conditions for extensive forest fires in addition to fires associated with deforestation and land management. The high temporal resolution of MODIS provides information for studying the resulting burnt areas. Landsat 5 TM images and field observations were also used as ground data for supporting and validating the MODIS results. Multitemporal analysis with MODIS showed that about 6500 km2 of land surface were burnt in Acre State. Of this, 3700 km2 corresponded to the previously deforested areas and 2800 km2 corresponded to areas of standing forests. This type of information and its timely availability are critical for regional and global environmental studies. The results showed that daily MODIS sensor data are useful sources of information for mapping burnt areas, and the proposed method can be used in an operational project in Brazilian Amazonia.  相似文献

We consider here the lot sizing and scheduling problem in single-level manufacturing systems. The shop floor is composed of unrelated parallel machines with sequence dependent setup times. We propose an integer programming model embedding precise capacity information due to scheduling constraints in a classical lot-sizing model. We also propose an iterative approach to generate a production plan taking into account scheduling constraints due to changeover setup times. The procedure executes two decision modules per iteration: a lot-sizing module and a scheduling module. The capacitated lot-sizing problem is solved to optimality considering estimated data and aggregate information, and the scheduling problem is solved by a GRASP heuristic. In the proposed scheme the information flow connecting the two levels is managed in each iteration. We report a set of computational experiments and discuss future work.  相似文献

There is a dramatic loss in the mechanical performances at the end of the first life application of bumpers made by a poly(propylene) matrix (PP) and an ethylene‐propylene rubber copolymer as dispersed phase. The use of specific additives during the recycling strongly enhances the mechanical properties of these items. The on purpose designed additive contained a regenerative agent and an antioxidant system. The mixing action of the recycling process re‐establishes the phase compatibility; the antioxidants inhibit oxidation, which speeds up the degradation reactions in the recycling process; eventually the regenerative agent joins short chains possessing suitable reactive groups. These three effects play a different role in restoring original material performance in dependence of the recycling process: for instance the regenerative agent may be nearly useless if chain scission is not the dominant process in the recycling operation and the interfacial adhesion between rubber and the matrix does not assure automatically a ductile mechanical behaviour under impact conditions.
