The composition and structure of SixCyOz glassy fibers that form during carbonization of hydrated cellulose impregnated with silicon dioxide is studied by Auger-electron
spectroscopy, chemical analysis, transmission and scanning electron microscopy. It is established that the surface layer of
a fiber to a depth of 30 nm consists of oxycarbide phase SiC1.1O1.8 with chemically absorbed oxygen and nitrogen, but the inner layers are two-phase that apart from this phase contain amorphous

Conclusions The process of regenerating KU-2-8 resin with precipitation baths from viscose manufacturing has been investigated as compared with regeneration with sulfuric acid.It has been found that desorption of zinc from the resin by precipitation baths is rather efficient, which makes it possible to use precipitation bath in the regeneration process instead of 10% sulfuric acid solution.It has been shown that a high content of organic contaminants in the precipitation baths (COD of 2000–5661 mg O2/liter) does not affect the sorptive properties of KU-2-8 resin.Translated from Khimicheskie Volokna, No. 6, pp. 9–10, November–December, 1984. 相似文献

Conclusions We studied the mechanical behavior of the partially stabilized (with yttrium oxide) zirconium dioxide crystals in which a small quantity of terbium oxide was introduced as an additive. The obtained data indicate the suitability of this material for practical applications. The effect of heat treatment on the physical and mechanical properties of such materials was revealed. It was established that on cooling up to –150°C, their strength and thermal shock resistance are improved.The lack of correspondence between the values of the crack resistance determined according to the methods of bend testing and indentation was established. The existence of a significant barrier to fracture was observed.
