Two hundred grams of soybean seeds (moisture contents of 7.4, 15.3, 22.5, and 30.5%) were irradiated at dose levels of 0, 1, 5, 10, 20, 40, 60, 80 and 100 KGy using Cobalt-60 source. Radiation dose of 100 KGy caused a decrease in the percentage of nitrogen solubility from 80.3 to 67.2, 80.3 to 57.8, and 68.1 to 48.8 when deionized H2O, 0.6M NaCl, and 0.2M Cacl2 were used as solvents, respectively. Inhibition of 71% of lipoxygenase activities, 25.4% trypsin inhibitor activities, and 16.7% chymotrypsin inhibitor activities were found when the soybean seeds were irradiated at 100 KGy.  相似文献

An algorithm for the solution of optimal control problems with singular subarcs is presented. The modified quasilinearization is extended to the solution of those problems where the initial conditions are updated successively. A major advantage of the quasilinearization method is its rapidity of convergence despite its simplicity in programming. It is not necessary to introduce penalty functions for the treatment of boundary conditions. An illustrative example is presented.  相似文献

Reachability conditions are developed for discrete single-input-single-output variable structure control systems described by linear mathematical models in general state-space form to reach a switching function from anywhere in state space. Stability conditions of a sliding mode are investigated. A modified algorithm is proposed to simplify the design procedure. Practical application to a thermal process has been achieved by using the modified algorithm to show the potential for development and practical results are compared with those using the classical PID controller design.  相似文献

This paper presents a system-theoretic approach to the general problem of autonomous planning under uncertainty. The autonomous planning problem involves an automaton (an autonomous machine) which interacts with an environment via a set of unreliable control and sensing operations. The task assigned to the automaton is to plan and execute a sequence of control and sensing operations which changes the state of the environment in a desirable way.

The paper introduces the concept of an Uncertainty Machine which models the propagation of the information from the environment to the automaton during the execution of the plans. Based on the concept of an uncertainty machine, mathematical expressions are presented for the active-sensing, the passive-sensing and the control (sensorless) entropies of an arbitrary execution instance. These entropies are shown to be useful measures of the automaton's ability to utilize its control and sensing resources in reducing its uncertainty.

The effect of microwave heating and gamma irradiation treatments on phosphorus compounds of soybean seeds were studied. Inorganic phosphorus was significantly (P < 0.05) increased while, phytate and phospholipids were significantly decreased when soybean seeds were microwave-heated for 9 min or more. Furthermore, gamma-irradiation treatments of 20 KGy or more significantly increased inorganic phosphorus and decreased phytate and phospholipids of the beans. Two dimensional thin-layer chromatography was employed to study the phospholipid pattern. Gamma-irradiation at doses from 40 to 100 KGy produced lysophosphatidylcholine and phosphatidic acid. The data of this study showed that, the increase of inorganic phosphorus was mainly due to the decomposition of phytic acids and phosphates of inositol.  相似文献

The total trypsin inhibitor was determined in extracts of 11 cultivars of soybeans and 11 strains of winged beans. The proteins in the extracts were precipitated by 16% trichloroacetic acid (w/v), and nonprotein trypsin inhibitor activities were determined in the protein-free supernatants. The nonprotein trypsin inhibitor activities varied between 10.32 ± 1.39 and 24.41 ± 1.04 units/mg defatted soybean samples and in winged beans ranged between 2.65 ± 0.62 and 6.79 ± 0.27 units/mg defatted samples. The nonprotein trypsin inhibitor composed 27–55% of the total trypsin inhibitor activity in the soybeans, and 5–14% of the total activity in winged beans.  相似文献

The thermal stability of some commercially available antioxidants alone or in binary or ternary mixtures was investigated in order to find the optimal combination of antioxidants for food processing. The synthetic antioxidants used were butylated hydroxyanisole (BHA), butylated hydroxytoluene (BHT), propyl gallate (PG) and tertiary-butyhydroquinone (TBHQ). Other antioxidants such as ascorbyl palmitate (AP), mixed tocopherols (TOCO) and monoacylglycerol citrate (MGC) were also employed. The effectiveness of these antioxidants and their combinations was assessed using the Rancimat test by measuring the induction period for the oxidation of sunflower oil after heating at 180C for 1 h and comparing it to the oxidation kinetics of the oil without added antioxidants. All antioxidants and their binary or ternary mixtures showed different degrees of thermal instability. TBHQ individually, among all the examined antioxidants, showed the highest thermal stability. On the other hand, AP as an antioxidant in sunflower oil exhibited low stability during heating. The thermal stability of AP could be enhanced by the addtion of BHA or BHT in binary mixtures at a ratio of 1:3 (w/w). In addition, the ternary mixture of AP, TOCO and MGC (65:25:10) in sunflower oil also showed a higher stability to thermal inactivation. However, the ternary mixture containing 0.13% AP, 0.05% TBHQ and 0.02% MGC provided the optimal protection during thermal treatment. Although a combination of 0.13% BHT, 0.05% AP and 0.02% MG was very effective synergistically at room temperature, it showed a higher susceptibility to thermal inactivation. It was  相似文献

Studies were performed to determine the effects of sorbic hydroxamic acid (SHA) and mastic oil–ethanol (ME) or water‐ethanol (WE) emitters on the growth of Bacillus cereus in high‐moisture, high‐pH (~8.9) English‐style crumpets stored at ambient temperature (25C). While SHA (3000 p.p.m.), alone or in combination with ME emitters, was effective in inhibiting the growth of B. cereus for 14 days in high‐pH crumpets, only SHA formulated crumpets packaged in air had acceptable sensory scores at the end of storage. However, ME emitters alone were ineffective in controlling the growth of this pathogen. This lack of inhibition in crumpets was attributed to the poor absorption of mastic volatiles from the package headspace into the food matrix. Whatever the reason, these preliminary studies showed that SHA has the potential to control the growth of B. cereus in high‐moisture, high‐pH crumpets without compromising product quality.  相似文献

KISHK, a popular Middle-Eastern fermented food is made by mixing bulgur with fermented milk (1:2) and sun-drying to 8-12% moisture contents. A laboratory method was developed for preparing a Kishk product with 14.9% protein. Bulgur-Yogart mix (62% moisture content) was fermented at 43°C for 24 hr to 9.5% moisture. An acceptable soybased Kishk (9.1% moisture, 17.2% protein) was also prepared by mixing Soy-Yogurt with bulgur at a ratio of 2:1. Finding indicated that the protein level of this Soy-Kishk was higher than that of milk-Kishk.  相似文献
