The influence of aging on computer interaction has been widely analyzed in human–computer interaction research literature. Despite this, there are no age-based user maps that could support the user-interface customization. Studying the specific needs and constraints of these groups is crucial in order to adapt a user interface to the user’s interaction requirements. This work studies the performance of a sample of participants on three different basic tasks (pointing, dragging and dropping, and text selection) and the influence of age for each of them. It is concluded that this influence differs between specific activities. A group profile map that can support automatic classification in the future has been obtained.  相似文献

Current studies about lipase production involve the use of agro-industrial residues and newly isolated microorganisms aimed at increasing economic attractiveness of the process. Based on these aspects, the main objective of this work is to perform the partial characterization of enzymatic extracts produced by a newly isolated Penicillium crustosum in solid-state fermentation. Lipase extract presented optimal temperature and pH of 37?°C and 9?C10, respectively. The concentrated enzymatic extract showed more stability at 25?°C and pH?7. The enzymes kept 100% of their enzymatic activity until 60?days of storage at 4 and ?10?°C. The stability under calcium salts indicated that the hydrolytic activity presented decay with the increase of calcium concentration. The specificity under several substrates indicated good enzyme activities in triglycerides from C4 to C18.  相似文献

In this work, we contribute to the study of the structural reorganisation of biological tissues in response to mechanical stimuli. We specialise our investigation to a class of hydrated soft tissues, whose internal structure features reinforcing fibres. These are oriented statistically within the tissue, and their pattern of orientation is such that, at each material point, the tissue is anisotropic. From its natural, stress-free state, the tissue can be distorted anelastically into a global reference configuration, and then deformed under the action of external mechanical loads. The anelastic distortions are responsible for changing irreversibly the internal structure of the tissue, which, in the present context, occurs through both the rearrangement of the bonds among the tissue cells and the deformation-driven reorientation of the fibres. The anelastic strains, in addition, are assumed to model the onset and evolution of microcracks in the tissue, which may be triggered by the mechanical loads applied to the tissue in the case of traumatic events, or diseases. For our purposes, we formulate an anisotropic model of remodelling and we consider a fully isotropic model of structural reorganisation for comparison, with the aim to study if, how, and to what extent the evolution of anelastic distortions is influenced by the tissue’s anisotropy.

Linear poly(l ‐lactides) (PLLAs ) and poly(d ‐lactides) (PDLAs ) with M n in the range 2000 ? 4300 containing a different number and placement of carboxyl groups were obtained via cationic ring‐opening polymerization and post‐polymerization functionalization. PLA stereoisomers (PLLA ‐(COOH )x and PDLA ‐(COOH )x , where x = 1 ? 3) were used for the investigation of stereocomplexation in solution performed in the presence of metal cations such as Ca2+, Mg2+, Zn2+, Fe3+. Spherical microparticles with a diameter in the range 0.7 ? 3.0 µm were obtained in all cases which was confirmed on the basis of scanning electron microscopy (SEM ) analysis. The microsphere size and homogeneity were analyzed depending on the stereocomplexation conditions and the molecular weight as well as the number of carboxyl end groups in the PLLA and PDLA used for stereocomplexation. The PLA microspheres obtained were analyzed by Fourier transform IR spectroscopy, wide angle X‐ray spectroscopy and energy‐dispersive X‐ray spectroscopy methods which confirmed the presence of metal cations inside. The interaction of chromium vapors with powderlike silicon carbide (SiC) was investigated by X-ray phase analysis, X-ray microanalysis, the EPR method, electron microscopy, and the BET method. It has been established that in the temperature range of 147 K to 2023 K under a pressure of 1.3 Pa, the main interaction product is chromium silicide (Cr5Si3), which forms a surface layer on SiC particles in zones with a mean temperature (T mean) of 1773 K to 1473 K. Moreover, Cr5Si3 vapors passing through the disperse SiC system condense in cold-temperature zones on SiC particles and aggregates.  相似文献

We used electron paramagnetic resonance (EPR) to determine the dependence of the defect structure of zinc oxide powders on the physical characteristics of admixed particles during prolonged mechanical treatment (MT). Our results demonstrate a sequential two-stage thermal process contributing to the defect structure during MT. In the first stage of MT a collective break-up process of individual ZnO particles occurs and the defects are caused by hyper-rapid thermal defects annealing (HRTDA) of the particles. The second stage of defect formation is associated with annealing effects caused by heat accumulation.  相似文献

The corrosion resistance behavior of Ni-Co-B coated carbon steel, Al 6061 alloy and 304 stainless steel was evaluated in simulated proton exchange membrane fuel cell (PEMFC) environment. The phase structure of the NiCoB based alloy was determined by Rietveld analysis. The PEMFC environment was constituted of 0.5 M H2SO4 at 60 °C and the evaluation techniques employed included potentiodynamic polarization, linear polarization resistance, open circuit potential measurements and electrochemical impedance spectroscopy. The results showed that in all cases the corrosion resistance of the Ni-Co-B coating was higher than that of the uncoated alloys; about two orders of magnitude with respect to carbon steel and an order of magnitude compared to 304 stainless steel. Except for the uncoated 304 type stainless steel, the polarization curves for the coated specimens did not exhibit a passive region but only anodic dissolution. The corrosion potential value, Ecorr, was always nobler for the coated samples than for the uncoated specimens. This was true for the stainless steel in the passive region, but in the active state for the carbon steel and Al 6061 alloy. The corrosion of the underlying alloy occurred due to filtering of the solution through coating defects like microcracks, pinholes, etc. During the filtering process the Ecorr value of the coating decreased slowly until it reached a steady state value, close to the Ecorr value of the underlying alloy.  相似文献

The combination of cell microenvironment control and real‐time monitoring of cell signaling events can provide key biological information. Through precise multipatterning of gold nanoparticles (GNPs) around cells, sensing and actuating elements can be introduced in the cells' microenviroment, providing a powerful substrate for cell studies. In this work, a combination of techniques are implemented to engineer complex substrates for cell studies. Alternating GNPs and bioactive areas are created with micrometer separation by means of a combination of vacumm soft‐lithography of GNPs and protein microcontract printing. Instead of conventional microfluidics that need syringe pumps to flow liquid in the microchannels, degas driven flow is used to fill dead‐end channels with GNP solutions, rendering the fabrication process straightforward and accessible. This new combined technique is called Printing and Vacuum lithography (PnV lithography). By using different GNPs with various organic coating ligands, different macroscale patterns are obtained, such as wires, supercrystals, and uniformly spread nanoparticle layers that can find different applications depending on the need of the user. The application of the system is tested to pattern a range of mammalian cell lines and obtain readouts on cell viability, cell morphology, and the presence of cell adhesive proteins.  相似文献

A Fe75Si thermal spray coating was applied on the surface of a plain carbon steel baffle plate. Beneath this coating, a Ni20Cr coating was applied to give better adherence to the silicon coating. The baffle was installed in the high-temperature, fireside, corrosion zone of a steam generator. At the same time, an uncoated 304 stainless steel baffle was installed nearby for comparison. For 13 months the boiler burned heavy fuel oil with high contents of vanadium. The samples were studied employing scanning electron microscopy, x-ray microanalysis, and x-ray diffraction techniques. After that, it was possible to inspect the structural state of the components, and it was found that the stainless steel baffle plates were destroyed almost completely by corrosion, whereas the carbon steel coated baffle plate did not suffer a significant attack, showing that the performance of the thermal spray coating was outstanding and that the coating was not attacked by vanadium salts of the molten slag.  相似文献
