Robust‐Adaptive Control Strategies for a Time Delay Bioelectrochemical Process Using Interval Observers 下载免费PDF全文
The paper addresses the design and the analysis of adaptive and robust‐adaptive control strategies for a complex recycled wastewater treatment bioprocess. The design procedures are developed under the realistic assumptions that the bacterial growth rates are unknown and the influent flow rates are time‐varying and uncertain, but some lower and upper bounds of these uncertainties are known. The proposed control structures are achieved by combining a linearizing control law with an appropriately (asymptotic or interval based) state observer and with a parameter estimator used for on‐line estimation of unknown kinetics. These approaches are applied to a complex time delay bioprocess resulting from the association of a recycling bioreactor with an electrochemical reactor. Numerical simulations are performed in order to validate the proposed algorithms. 相似文献

This paper deals with the problem of modelling and on-line estimation of kinetics for a biomethanation process. This bioprocess is in fact a wastewater biodegradation process with production of methane gas, which takes place inside a Continuous Stirred Tank Bioreactor. The reaction scheme and the analysis of biochemical phenomena inside the bioreactor are used in order to obtain a nonlinear dynamic model of the bioprocess, by means of the pseudo Bond Graph method. Two nonlinear estimation strategies are developed for the identification of unknown kinetics of the bioprocess. First, an estimator is developed by using a state observer based technique. Second, an observer based on high-gain approach is designed and implemented. Several numerical simulations are performed in order to analyse and compare the behaviour and the performance of the proposed estimators. 相似文献

We analyzed embryo culture medium (CM) and recipient blood plasma using Fourier transform infrared (FTIR) metabolomics to predict pregnancy outcome. Individually cultured, in vitro-produced (IVP) blastocysts were transferred to recipients as fresh and vitrified-warmed. Spent CM and plasma samples were evaluated using FTIR. The discrimination capability of the classifiers was assessed for accuracy, sensitivity (pregnancy), specificity (nonpregnancy), and area under the receiver operator characteristic curve (AUC). Within all IVP fresh embryos (birth rate = 52%), high AUC were obtained at birth, especially with expanded blastocysts (CM: 0.80 ± 0.053; plasma: 0.89 ± 0.034). The AUC of vitrified IVP embryos (birth rate = 31%) were 0.607 ± 0.038 (CM, expanded blastocysts) and 0.672 ± 0.023 (plasma, all stages). Recipient plasma generally predicted pregnancy outcome better than did embryo CM. Embryos and recipients with improved pregnancy viability were identified, which could increase the economic benefit to the breeding industry. 相似文献

The peritoneal environment in endometriosis is known to have growth-promoting effects on endometrial cells. To investigate whether follicular fluid, a contributor to the peritoneal fluid, stimulates endometrial cell proliferation, we incubated endometrial stromal cells in culture with various dilutions of follicular fluid obtained from women with or without endometriosis undergoing oocyte retrieval for in-vitro fertilization. Cell proliferation assays were performed using follicular fluid from 28 women (without endometriosis, n = 13; with endometriosis, n = 15) in eight different endometrial stromal cell culture set-ups. Cell proliferation was assessed by a colorimetric method. Maximum cell proliferation was detected when endometrial cells were incubated with 50% dilution of follicular fluid for 48 h. Follicular fluid from women with endometriosis induced significantly higher cell proliferation than follicular fluid from women without endometriosis (P < 0.05). Our findings indicate that follicular fluid contents may contribute to the growth-promoting factors in the peritoneal fluid of women with endometriosis. 相似文献

The paper studies the design and analysis of a neural adaptive control strategy for a class of square nonlinear bioprocesses
with incompletely known and time-varying dynamics. In fact, an adaptive controller based on a dynamical neural network used
as a model of the unknown plant is developed. The neural controller design is achieved by using an input–output feedback linearization
technique. The adaptation laws of neural network weights are derived from a Lyapunov stability property of the closed-loop
system. The convergence of the system tracking error to zero is guaranteed without the need of network weights convergence.
The resulted control method is applied in a depollution control problem in the case of a wastewater treatment bioprocess,
belonging to the square nonlinear class, for which kinetic dynamics are strongly nonlinear, time varying and not exactly known. 相似文献

The fat mass and obesity-associated protein (FTO), an RNA N6-methyladenosine (m6A) demethylase, is an important regulator of central nervous system development, neuronal signaling and disease. We present here the target-tailored development and biological characterization of small-molecule inhibitors of FTO. The active compounds were identified using high-throughput molecular docking and molecular dynamics screening of the ZINC compound library. In FTO binding and activity-inhibition assays the two best inhibitors demonstrated Kd = 185 nM; IC50 = 1.46 µM (compound 2) and Kd = 337 nM; IC50 = 28.9 µM (compound 3). Importantly, the treatment of mouse midbrain dopaminergic neurons with the compounds promoted cellular survival and rescued them from growth factor deprivation induced apoptosis already at nanomolar concentrations. Moreover, both the best inhibitors demonstrated good blood-brain-barrier penetration in the model system, 31.7% and 30.8%, respectively. The FTO inhibitors demonstrated increased potency as compared to our recently developed ALKBH5 m6A demethylase inhibitors in protecting dopamine neurons. Inhibition of m6A RNA demethylation by small-molecule drugs, as presented here, has therapeutic potential and provides tools for the identification of disease-modifying m6A RNAs in neurogenesis and neuroregeneration. Further refinement of the lead compounds identified in this study can also lead to unprecedented breakthroughs in the treatment of neurodegenerative diseases. 相似文献

In friction welding of two dissimilar materials, two rods are welded together by holding one of them still while rotating the other under the influence of an axial load which creates frictional heat in the interface. In this study, mechanical properties of mild steel and aluminium welded rods were evaluated to understand the thermal effects, and an explicit one-dimensional finite difference method was used to approximate the heating and cooling temperature distribution of the joint. The thermal effects of the friction welding were observed to have lowered the welded materials hardness compared to the parent materials. The tensile strength of the welded rods is lower than the parent rods due to incomplete welding. The preliminary predictions were compared to actual thermocouple data from welds conducted under identical conditions and were shown to be in fair agreement. The finite difference method proposed in this work will provide guidance in weld parameter development and will allow better understanding of the friction welding process. 相似文献
