The perovskite-type oxide PrCoO3 has been studied by means of X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy (XPS), reduction in H2 and X-ray diffraction. Two types of oxygen were detected: lattice oxygen (binding energy = 528.4 eV) and adsorbed oxygen (binding energy = 530.9 eV). The increase in relative intensity of the peak corresponding to the latter species after reduction of PrCo03 to 3e per molecule is assigned to the formation of hydroxyl groups. Temperature-programmed reduction (TPR) results showed two reduction steps: to 1 e per molecule (Co3.1 Co2+) at 475 to 635 K, and to 3e per molecule (Co21 Co0) at 725 to 815 K. Reduction in the first and second steps occurs according to the contracting sphere model and the nucleation mechanism, respectively. Reduction of Co3+ to Co2+ causes minimal structural changes in the perovskite. Reduction to 3e per molecule yielded Pr2O3 and metallic cobalt. After this reduction and reoxidation at 973 K, the perovskite structure was regained. By XPS and TPR it was shown that PrCo03 is more easily reducible than LaCo03. It is concluded that the cation in the A position of the structure plays a significant role in the bulk and surface properties of LnCo03 (Ln, lanthanide elements) oxides.  相似文献

The desorption isotherms and thermodynamic properties of cocoa beans were obtained during the drying process of this product. The isotherms were determined by dynamic method for various temperature (25, 35, 45 and 55 °C) and relative humidity (RH) conditions (30, 40, 50, 60, 70 and 80%). Equilibrium moisture content data were correlated by the Guggenheim–Anderson–de Boer (GAB) model, which presented good fit to the data, according to statistical procedures. Equilibrium moisture content ranged from 5.90 to 16.67 d.b.; it increased with an increment in the RH and decreased with increased temperature at a constant RH. Enthalpy values for each model coefficient were encountered, ranging from ?90.05 to 545.96 kJ kg?1. The integral isosteric heat of desorption and differential entropy increased with decreased equilibrium moisture content, a tendency also found for Gibbs free energy.  相似文献

This paper proposes a method to determine iron in samples of fish feed and feces using ultrasound in the extraction of the analyte and in subsequent quantification by flame atomic absorption spectrometry. Using HCl 0.10 mol L−1 as the extraction solution, the optimal conditions of extraction were found to be: granulometry of the sample <60 μm; a sonication time of five cycles of 10 s and sonication power of 136 W. The method was applied in studies of the availability of iron in four food sources used in the diet of Nile Tilapia. The results obtained with the proposed extraction method allowed us to calculate the coefficients of apparent digestibility of iron in the food sources, which was not possible when using results obtained from samples mineralized by acid digestion.  相似文献

We investigated the effects of muscle mass and contraction intensity on the cardiorespiratory responses to static exercise and on the contribution afforded by muscle metaboreflex and arterial baroreflex mechanisms. Ten subjects performed static handgrip at 30% maximal voluntary contraction (MVC) (SHG-30) and one-leg extension at 15% (SLE-15) and 30% (SLE-30) MVC, followed by postexercise circulatory occlusion (PECO). Mean arterial pressure (MAP) and heart rate (HR) responses were greater during SLE-30 than during SHG-30. The difference in MAP was maintained by PECO, and the part of the pressor response maintained by PECO was greater after SLE-30 than after SHG-30 (88.3 +/- 10.6 and 67.8 +/- 12.7%, respectively, P = 0. 02). There were no differences in MAP and HR responses between SHG-30 and SLE-15 trials. Baroreflex sensitivity was maintained during SHG-30 and SLE-15, whereas it was significantly reduced during SLE-30 and recovered back to the resting level during PECO. Minute ventilation and oxygen uptake increased more during SLE-30 than during both SHG-30 and SLE-15 trials. Minute ventilation remained significantly elevated above rest only during PECO following SLE-30. These data suggest that during static exercise the muscle mass and contraction intensity affect 1) the magnitude of the cardiorespiratory responses, 2) the contribution of muscle metaboreflex to the cardiorespiratory responses, and 3) the arterial baroreflex contribution to HR control.  相似文献

Some aspects of the interactions of CO and NO with LaRhO3 have been studied. The reduction of this oxide with CO occurs where the contracting sphere model is of perovskite structure stable up to a concentration of anion vacancies of ca. 2e? per molecule. By reduction of LaRhO3 at 817 K, rhodium was obtained, highly dispersed on a matrix of La2O3. After a reduction-oxidation cycle at 871 K the particle size of the perovskite decreased drastically. The activation energy of the reduction (67 kJ mol?1) was significantly lower than that of other LaMO3 oxides of group-VIII metals. Coverages of CO(θCO) and NO(θNO) at room temperature were lower than 3%, θNO being substantially higher than θCO. The reversibly adsorbed fractions of CO and NO underwent a remarkable decrease after preadsorbing NO and CO, respectively. This competitive adsorption is assumed to be associated with the adsorption of CO and NO on metallic sites. NO preadsorption inhibited the total adsorption of CO more severely than the reverse, indicating that NO is bound more strongly than CO to the LaRhO3 surface.  相似文献
