In this systematic study, dispersion-strengthening effect of the Cu–25.91Mn (wt.%), Cu–26.62Mn–8.99Al (wt.%), Cu–22.17Mn–12.32Zn (wt.%) ingot alloys have been investigated. Samples were homogenized at a high fixed temperature in different periods and cooled with different cooling rates. After processes, microanalysis of the samples were interpreted by using scanning electron microscope (SEM) and weight percentages of the elements of the occurrence phases in the samples obtained by using electron dispersion spectroscopy (EDS) technique. Additionally, some characteristic properties of the heat treated samples with different conditions of Cu–Mn, Cu–Mn–Al, Cu–Mn–Zn ingot alloys were also discussed.  相似文献

Energy and exergy analysis were carried out for a combined‐cycle power plant by using the data taken from its units in operation to analyse a complex energy system more thoroughly and to identify the potential for improving efficiency of the system. In this context, energy and exergy fluxes at the inlet and the exit of the devices in one of the power plant main units as well as the energy and exergy losses were determined. The results show that combustion chambers, gas turbines and heat recovery steam generators (HRSG) are the main sources of irreversibilities representing more than 85% of the overall exergy losses. Some constructive and thermal suggestions for these devices have been made to improve the efficiency of the system. Copyright © 2005 John Wiley & Sons, Ltd.  相似文献

Enrichment of omega 3 polyunsaturated fatty acids (PUFA) in the glyceride fraction of salmon oil was performed by Candida rugosa lipase (CRL)-catalysed hydrolysis. Total omega 3 PUFA content in the product was 38.71% (mol.%), more than double of the initial level. The hydrolysis reaction was scaled up to 1 l in a stirred tank reactor without any decrease in the selectivity of the reaction. Moreover, non-steroselectivity and acyl chain specificity of CRL-catalysed hydrolysis, as well as CRL’s recognition of the whole triacylglycerol molecule, were proved. The product was purified by short path distillation, which was also shown to contribute to the recovery of omega 3 PUFA in residue. After the removal of free fatty acids, the final product was subjected to a second round of hydrolysis to concentrate omega 3 PUFA further to 50.58%. Recoveries of eicosapentaenoic acid (EPA) and docosahexaenoic acid (DHA) decreased slightly after the second round of hydrolysis, while oleic acid (OA) content was not affected.  相似文献

The oxidation behavior and the oxide microstructure on Fe-3 wt. % Cr alloy were investigated at 800°C in dry air at atmospheric pressure. Two distinct oxidation rate laws were observed: initial parabolic oxidation was followed by nonparabolic growth. The change in the oxidation kinetics was caused by microchemical and microstructural developments in the oxide scale. Several layers developed in the oxide scale, consisting of an innermost layer of (Fe,Cr)3O4 spinel, an intermediate layer of (Fe,Cr)2O3 sesquioxide, and two outer layers of Fe2O3 hematite, each with different morphologies. Wustite (Fe1–xO) and distorted cubic oxide (-(Fe,Cr)2O3) were observed during the iniital parabolic oxidation only.  相似文献

In this study, drying behavior of viscose yarn bobbins was investigated experimentally to specify the optimum drying conditions and a drying model was proposed for simulation of drying. The experiments were conducted in a pressurized hot-air bobbin dryer, which was designed and manufactured based on the dryers used in the textile industry. Drying process was performed for various drying parameters: bobbin diameter, drying temperature, drying pressure, and volumetric flow rate of drying air. The results show that total drying time is strongly dependent on drying pressure, drying temperature, and volumetric flow rate and increase at these parameters shortens the drying time considerably. The results also show that the minimum energy consumption is for lower values of drying temperature and drying pressure and modest and higher values of volumetric flow rate. Simulation results show that the most appropriate model in describing the drying curves of viscose yarn bobbins is the stretched exponential model.  相似文献

A method for the separation and speciative determination of Cr(VI) and Cr(III) has been developed. The procedure is based on coprecipitation of Cr(III) on 3-ethyl-4-(p-chlorobenzylidenamino-4,5-dihydro-1H-1,2,4-triazol-5-one (EPHBAT) without carrier element. The Cr(III) can be selectively precipitated on EPHBAT in the pH range of 8.0–9.0, while Cr(VI) cannot be retained. Total chromium was determined after the reduction of Cr(VI) to Cr(III) with 0.5 mL of concentrated H2SO4 and 0.5 mL of ethanol. Cr(VI) concentrations were obtained as the respective differences between total chromium and Cr(III). Experiments were performed to optimize conditions, such as pH, amounts of EPHBAT, sample volume, etc. A preconcentration factor of 50-fold was achieved for Cr(III). The detection limit of the method for Cr(III) was 1.0 μg L−1. To validate the developed method, the certified reference materials (NIST SRM 1573a and GBW 0703) were analyzed. The method was applied for the speciation of chromium in spiked natural water samples with satisfactory results.  相似文献

We consider the problem of similarity search in databases with costly metric distance measures. Given limited main memory, our goal is to develop a reference-based index that reduces the number of comparisons in order to answer a query. The idea in reference-based indexing is to select a small set of reference objects that serve as a surrogate for the other objects in the database. We consider novel strategies for selection of references and assigning references to database objects. For dynamic databases with frequent updates, we propose two incremental versions of the selection algorithm. Our experimental results show that our selection and assignment methods far outperform competing methods. ABSTRACT

Heat transfer in friction welding of similar and dissimilar cylindrical rods with different diameters is considered in the present study. The governing equations are solved numerically using an explicit finite-difference technique to determine the temperature field for various values of geometric and thermal parameters. The values of the parameters in the problem are selected as a = 1, 2, 4 for the aspect ratio, r k  = 0.25, 1, 4 for the thermal conductivities ratio, and B 1 = 0.05, 0.01, 0.001 for the Biot number. The predicted temperature field is of similar form for all values of the parameters, but the radial and axial temperature gradients change at certain amounts for different values of parameters.  相似文献

This study introduces a new low complexity Max-Log-MAP based channel estimation technique operating in a multi-path band limited channel. The proposed estimation technique is based on an iterative procedure derived through the maximum a posteriori probability approach. Wireless communication channels often undergo frequency selective fading that leads to inter-symbol interference, which limits the performance of wireless indoor systems. Performance of the algorithms is assessed by combined analysis and simulation. Results are presented and compared against the performance of conventional Log-MAP algorithm. The obtained results show that the required bit-error-rate performance can be achieved with a lower number of iterations using the proposed low complexity algorithm compared to using the conventional Log-MAP algorithm.  相似文献

Water and heat management are the most critical issues for the performance of proton exchange membrane (PEM) fuel cells. They can be provided by keeping hydrogen flow rate, oxygen flow rate, cell temperature and humidification temperature under control. In this study, the effects of these parameters on the power density of proton exchange membrane (PEM) fuel cell which has 25 cm2 active area have been examined experimentally using hydrogen on the anode side and oxygen on the cathode side. Response Surface Methodology (RSM) has been applied to optimize these operation parameters of proton exchange membrane (PEM) fuel cell. The test responses are the maximum output power density. ANOVA (analysis of variance) analyses are used to compute the effects and the contributions of the various factors to the fuel cell maximal power density. The use of this design shows also how it is possible to reduce the number of experiments. Hydrogen flow rate, oxygen flow rate, humidification temperature and cell temperature were the main parameters to have been varied between 2.5–5 L/min, 3–5 L/min, 40–70 °C and 40–80 °C in the analyses. The maximum power density was found as 241.977 mW/cm2.  相似文献
