Abstract The I-shaped cross-sectional beam of CFRP (CFRP I-beam) is usually manufactured by the continuous protrusion method. Carbon fibers can only be arranged in the longitudinal direction. The CFRP I-beam with arbitrary arrangement of carbon fiber was manufactured with applying the electro-activated deposition molding method. The carbon fiber fabric was immersed in the deposition solution and energized, epoxy resin precipitated around carbon fiber and impregnated. The resin-impregnated fabric was installed to the mold, and the CFRP I-beam was fabricated. The CFRP I-beam was subjected to three-point bending tests, and the relationship between load-deflection was simulated by finite-element analysis. 相似文献

To evaluate right atrial (RA) contractile performance in patients with myocardial infarction, we validated a cineangiographic method of RA volume measurement, and investigated RA volume change in 'normal' individuals and patients with a previous myocardial infarction. Sixteen silicone rubber RA casts made from human cadavers were filmed in the postero-anterior and left lateral projections. The cast volumes calculated following Simpson's rule were in good agreement with those measured by water replacement (r = 0.992, P < 0.01). At cardiac catheterization, biplane RA cineangiography was performed in 19 'normal' individuals (N group), in 14 patients with a previous antero-septal infarction (AMI group) and in seven patients with a previous inferior infarction (IMI group). The RA volume-time curve was constructed at 20-40 ms intervals for one cardiac cycle. RA volume at the beginning of the atrial contraction (RAVd), which was defined as the 'preload' of the RA, tended to be larger in both the AMI and IMI groups compared with 'normal' individuals. The RA ejection volume was significantly larger in both the AMI (18.4 +/- 2.1 ml.m-2, P < 0.01) and IMI groups (19.4 +/- 2.8, P < 0.01) than in the N group (14.5 +/- 1.9), even for a comparable level of RAVd (range from 26 to 36 ml.m-2) (18.6 +/- 2.1, P < 0.01, 18.2 +/- 2.0, P < 0.01, 14.7 +/- 1.9, respectively). These results suggest that RA contraction increases in patients with myocardial infarction by increasing both the 'preload' and 'contractility' of the RA. 相似文献

We report experimental results on enhanced backscattering from a plane mirror that is viewed through polymer-film-dispersed nematic liquid crystals. The distribution of the averaged intensity of the light reflected from the mirror placed behind the polymer film is investigated with an image-processing system when a Gaussian beam wave is incident. The enhanced light peak is observed in an incident beam direction, the result of which is predicted by a theory based on the circular Gaussian statistic random-phase-screen model. We pay attention to the enhancement dependence on parameters such as the distance between the polymer film and the flat mirror. The observed result is similar to a previous study by Jakeman et al. in which a random diffusive glass plate was used as a random-phase screen [J. Phys. D 21, 32 (1988)]. 相似文献

The virtual diving experience learning system of “Ama”, Japanese traditional female divers, has been developed to simulate how divers move in a virtual space using the diving interface and utilizing an accelerometer and a gyroscope. This interface not only detects the diving motion but also outputs the movement. Diving motion is shown in the ways of hand motion while standing. Although this makes it possible for a learner to understand the divers’ actions more clearly, this system’s difficulty is in visualizing a divers’ actions including their hands or bodies. Therefore, our study focuses on developing the operation system to reproduce actual ways of Amas’ diving with a virtual human body in a virtual space. First, the motion capture was done in an underwater condition. In the next process, the virtual human body was created. Finally, with the motion viewer, the more vivid actions of the Ama were successfully reproduced much more than in previous attempts. Using this system, the effectiveness of the Amas’ movement learning was confirmed, because a learner practices Amas’ movement. 相似文献

Abstract— The plasma‐tube array is expected to realize a wall‐sized display. This method will realize an emissive‐type display with a flexible screen shape and an expandable screen size. The shape of the plasma tube was investigated to realize high luminance, high luminance efficacy, and high flexural strength. As the result, a cylindroid tube is proposed to satisfy these demands. Cortisol-producing adenoma (CPA) is composed of clear and compact cells. Clear cells are lipid abundant, and compact ones lipid poor but associated with higher production of steroid hormones. PRKACA mutation (PRKACA mt) in CPA patients was reported to be associated with more pronounced clinical manifestation of Cushing’s syndrome. In this study, we examined the association of histological features and genotypes with cholesterol uptake receptors and synthetic enzymes in 40 CPA cases, and with the quantitative results obtained by gas chromatography-mass spectrometry (GC-MS) analysis in 33 cases to explore their biological and clinical significance. Both cholesterol uptake receptors and synthetic enzymes were more abundant in compact cells. GC-MS analysis demonstrated that the percentage of compact cells was inversely correlated with the concentrations of cholesterol and cholesterol esters, and positively with the activity of cholesterol biosynthesis from cholesterol esters. In addition, hormone-sensitive lipase (HSL), which catalyzes cholesterol biosynthesis from cholesterol esters, tended to be more abundant in compact cells of PRKACA mt CPAs. These results demonstrated that both cholesterol uptake and biosynthesis were more pronounced in compact cells in CPA. In addition, more pronounced HSL expression in compact cells of PRKACA mt CPA could contribute to their more pronounced clinical manifestation. 相似文献
