Traditional economic evaluation methods concentrate on maximizing or minimizing a single objective such as net present value and pay back period. In the last decade, there has been an increased awareness of the need to consider multiple attributes in the evaluation of advanced manufacturing systems. Various methods have recently been developed for the evaluation of CIM systems. This paper discusses multiattribute methods for justification of CIM systems and outranking methods including ELECTRE, ORESTE, and PROMETHEE.  相似文献

To identify factors affecting the chemical stability and preservative efficacy of lamivudine oral liquid formulations, an optimization study using a central composite design was performed. In this design, five factors, each at three levels, were investigated: pH (4.5, 5.5, and 73, sucrose (5%, 20%. and 50% w/v), propylene glycol (0% 2%, and 5% w/v), glycerin (4% 8%, and 12% w/v). and EDTA (0.100. 0.175, and 0.250 mg/mL). All formulations contained a constant concentration of lamivudine, parabens, and artificial strawberry and banana flavors. All formulations were evaluated for preservative effectiveness against USP and BP standards and for chemical stability at 30°C and 40°C for three months. All formulations were effective against bacteria and yeasts, but indicated reduced preservative effectiveness against the mold Aspergillus niger. Preservative effectiveness improved with increasing pH (4.5 to 7.5) and to a lesser extent with increasing EDTA concentration (0.100 to 0.250 mg/mL). Increasing glycerin concentration (4% to 12% w/v) slightly decreased preservative effectiveness. Over the concentration ranges tested, no change in preservative effectiveness was noted with concentration changes in sucrose or propylene glycol. The pH was the main factor influencing the chemical stability of the drug and preservatives in this study. Lamivudine chemical stability increased with increasing pH from 4.5 to 7.5. Methyl and propylparaben showed extensive degradation at pH 7.5.  相似文献

Self-identified lesbian, gay male, and bisexual (LGB) individuals were recruited via convenience sampling, and they in turn recruited their siblings (79% heterosexual, 19% LGB). The resulting sample of 533 heterosexual, 558 lesbian or gay male, and 163 bisexual participants was compared on mental health variables and their use of mental health services. Multilevel modeling analyses revealed that sexual orientation predicted suicidal ideation, suicide attempts, self-injurious behavior, use of psychotherapy, and use of psychiatric medications over and above the effects of family adjustment. Sexual orientation was unrelated to current psychological distress, psychiatric hospitalizations, and self-esteem. This paper presents a generalized multistage bayesian framework to enable an autonomous robot to complete high‐precision operations on a static target in a large field. The proposed framework consists of two multistage approaches, capable of dealing with the complexity of high‐precision operation in a large field to detect and localize the target. In the multistage localization, locations of the robot and the target are estimated sequentially when the target is far away from the robot, whereas these locations are estimated simultaneously when the target is close. A level of confidence (LOC) for each detection criterion of a sensor and the associated probability of detection (POD) of the sensor are defined to make the target detectable with different LOCs at varying distances. Differential entropies of the robot and target are used as a precision metric for evaluating the performance of the proposed approach. The proposed multistage observation and localization approaches were applied to scenarios using an unmanned ground vehicle (UGV) and an unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV). Results with the UGV in simulated environments and then real environments show the effectiveness of the proposed approaches to real‐world problems. A successful demonstration using the UAV is also presented.  相似文献

This review identified fourteen reported illness outbreaks attributed to consumption of pathogen-contaminated spice during the period 1973–2010. Countries reporting outbreaks included Canada, Denmark, England and Wales, France, Germany, New Zealand, Norway, Serbia, and the United States. Together, these outbreaks resulted in 1946 reported human illnesses, 128 hospitalizations and two deaths. Infants/children were the primary population segments impacted by 36% (5/14) of spice-attributed outbreaks. Four outbreaks were associated with multiple organisms. Salmonella enterica subspecies enterica was identified as the causative agent in 71% (10/14) of outbreaks, accounting for 87% of reported illnesses. Bacillus spp. was identified as the causative agent in 29% (4/10) of outbreaks, accounting for 13% of illnesses. 71% (10/14) of outbreaks were associated with spices classified as fruits or seeds of the source plant. Consumption of ready-to-eat foods prepared with spices applied after the final food manufacturing pathogen reduction step accounted for 70% of illnesses. Pathogen growth in spiced food is suspected to have played a role in some outbreaks, but it was not likely a contributing factor in three of the larger Salmonella outbreaks, which involved low-moisture foods. Root causes of spice contamination included contributions from both early and late stages of the farm-to-table continuum.  相似文献
