Abstract

Using a high power CW CO2 laser, the pyrolysis in a flow reactor of different hydrocarbons/oxidizer mixtures with/without sensitizer lead to soots containing weightable quantities of fullerenes which were identified by FTIR spectroscopy, high performance liquid chromatography (HPLC) and time-of-flight mass spectrometry. The C60 and C70 quantification was done by HPLC. The FTIR spectroscopy of toluene extracts from the soots and of exhaust gases allowed to discuss some aspects concerning the influence of sensitizer (SF6) addition as well as of the oxidiser (O2/N2O) on the fullerene production in laser pyrolysis of benzene-based mixtures.  相似文献

This article deals with experiences acquired during the process of developing the Timbre Brownfield Prioritization Tool (TBPT). Developing a decision support tool that takes into account the expectations and experiences of its potential users is similar to creating applicable knowledge by the joint action of scientists and heterogeneous actors. Actor network theory is used to explore the construction of this form of applicable knowledge as a process of actor network creation. Following the French sociologist Callon, networks are seen to be initiated and carried out by a group of scientists (tool developers) via four moments of translation, called problematization, interessement, enrolment and mobilization. Each step in the construction of the TBPT—from the initial research question to the final model—can be linked in retrospect to changing configurations of actor networks. Based on the experiences of the tool developers in the Czech Republic, Poland, Germany and Romania, we illustrate how these configurations varied across space and time. This contribution emphasizes the ability to correlate gains in knowledge with the more visible changes in the scope of actor networks in order to highlight achievements but also limitations in acquiring applicable knowledge.  相似文献

This paper presents the improvement of the resistance to fungi of some cotton textile materials by treating in the manufacturing process with oxygen plasma and chitosan. Thus, after the weaving and preliminary finishing, the fabrics were cleaned in oxygen plasma atmosphere and after dyeing, have been treated with chitosan solution with concentrations of 1 or 5 g/l, in order to confer them antimicrobial properties. The antimicrobial tests were performed with two fungi: Candida albicans and Tricophyton interdigitale. The obtained antimicrobial effect was considerably higher compared to that of the raw fabrics. The colour resistance of dyed fabrics was not significantly influenced by applying the treatment-based chitosan.  相似文献

Laser-induced TiCl4 decomposition at vapour pressure was performed and comparative study of the composition and structure of thermally (at 10.6 μm) and photolytically (at 248 nm) deposited Ti-based films is presented. Emphasis was given to the less explored titanium deposition process by CO2 laser pyrolysis of TiCl4. The detailed structure of films deposited on quartz substrates was examined by scanning electron microscopy and X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy. The influence of the incident laser energy on the chemical content of the films as well as on the film growth rate was demonstrated. The results indicate that in the thermal IR decomposition of TiCl4 a multilayer structure is formed with unsaturated TiSix at the interface and oxidized phases at the surface. The photolytic process leads to films with increased purity and a specific growth morphology.  相似文献

This work considers a SET (single event transient) fault simulation technique to evaluate the probability that a transient pulse, born in the combinational logic, may be latched in a storage cell. Fault injection procedures and a fast fault simulation algorithm for transient faults were implemented around an event driven simulator. A statistical analysis was implemented to organize data sampled from simulations. The benchmarks show that the proposed algorithm is capable of injecting and simulating a large number of transient faults in complex designs. Also specific optimizations have been carried out, thus greatly reducing the simulation time compared to a sequential fault simulation approach.  相似文献

Undoped and Fe-doped TiO2 nanopowders with Fe/Ti (atomic ratio) precursor concentration ranging from 7% up to 25% have been prepared by the IR laser pyrolysis technique. A sensitized mixture of TiCl4 and Fe (CO)5 was used as titanium and iron precursor, respectively. Reference undoped titania samples with a major concentration of anatase phase (about 90%) were obtained by the same technique by using very high flows of the oxidizing agent (air). The effects of the iron-dopant concentration on the essential structural properties of the resultant powders such as the phase formation, the crystallinity, the average particle size and distributions were systematically investigated by X-ray diffraction, Raman spectroscopy and transmission electron microscopy. The decrease of the TiO2-anatase crystalline phase, the simultaneous increase of the amorphous phase and the decrease in size of particle mean diameter appear as main effects induced by the Fe-dopant concentration.  相似文献

In the present study polymeric microbeads of poly(2-hydroxyethyl methacrylate-co-dodecyl methacrylate-co-acrylic acid) or p(HEMA-co-dDMA-co-AA) were synthesised and characterized through FT-IR and scanning electron microscopy (SEM); their swelling behavior against saline solution was explored and their in vitro cytotoxicity was evaluated. Further, in order to elucidate kinetic aspects regarding the ternary system p(HEMA-co-dDMA-co-AA), a mathematical model of the reactivity ratios of the comonomers in the terpolymer has been conceived and analyzed. An intensified tendency of AA units accumulation in the copolymer has been noticed, in spite of HEMA units, while dDMA conserves in the copolymer the fraction from the feed. Three compositions have been selected for nafcillin-loading and their in vitro release capacity was evaluated. The compositions of 80:10:10 and 75:10:15 M ratios appear suitable for further in vivo testing, in order to be used as drug delivery systems in the treatment of different osseous diseases.  相似文献

The protein alpha-lactalbumin exists in a partially folded molten globule state at pH 2.0, the A state. This state is believed to be compact, possessing a similar amount of secondary structure to the native state but having a flexible tertiary structure comprised mainly of non-specific hydrophobic clustering of residues. Addition of trifluoroethanol (TFE) to bovine, human and guinea pig alpha-lactalbumin at pH 2.0 has been found in each case to induce a conformational transition in the A state as monitored by circular dichroism, nuclear magnetic resonance chemical shifts, and 1-anilinonaphthalene-8-sulphonate binding. The mid-point of this transition is near 15% (v/v) TFE and is effectively complete by 50% (v/v) TFE at 315 K. Far ultraviolet circular dichroism ellipticities at 208 nm and 220 nm, usually taken as a measure of the degree of helical character, are substantially more negative in the TFE state than in the A state. Furthermore, backbone amide protons protected from solvent exchange in the A state are generally at least as strongly protected in the TFE state; patterns of protection appear similar in the two states and include at least part of both the B and C alpha-helices. One major difference from the A state is nevertheless evident: the ability to bind the fluorescent probe 1-anilinonaphthalene-8-sulphonate, characteristic of molten globule states, is lost in the TFE state. Like the A state, the TFE state of alpha-lactalbumin shows little chemical shift dispersion of side-chain resonances. Extensive line broadening in the nuclear magnetic resonance spectra, characteristic of slow conformational averaging in the A state, is, however, much reduced in the TFE state. The line narrowing observed in the TFE state has made it possible to obtain directly sequence-specific assignments for about 25% of the 123 residues of bovine alpha-lactalbumin in 50% (v/v) TFE. Two helices are amongst regions of structure so far identified from short-range backbone nuclear Overhauser enhancement (NOE) connectivities in two-dimensional spectra of the TFE state. One of the helices (residues 86 to 96) corresponds to the C-helix in the native structure. The other (residues 35 to 41) corresponds, however, to a region of the sequence that is not helical in the native state. The partially folded state of alpha-lactalbumin formed in TFE, therefore, supports both native and non-native secondary structure in the absence of persistent long-range tertiary structure.  相似文献

In the framework of mapped pseudospectral methods, we use a polynomial-type mapping function in order to describe accurately the dynamics of systems developing small size structures. Using error criteria related to the spectral interpolation error, the polynomial-type mapping is compared against previously proposed mappings for the study of collapse and shock wave phenomena. As a physical application, we study the dynamics of two coupled beams, described by coupled nonlinear Schrödinger equations and modeling beam propagation in an atomic coherent media, whose spatial sizes differ up to several orders of magnitude. It is demonstrated, also by numerical simulations, that the accuracy properties of the polynomial-type mapping outperform by orders of magnitude the ones of the other studied mapping functions.  相似文献
