A cryogenic power cable is expected to be capable of carrying bulk power as a main transmission line in a future metropolitan electric power system. It is important to establish a strategy of how to sustain power supply when such a highly densified power supply route trips from the network due to contingency. It is proposed here that the bulk power transmitted by the cryogenic cable could be distributed into the parallel conventional transmission lines by suitable circuit breaker operations in the system. In this process, power-flow routes are forced to be changed with a remarkable modification in the system configuration. In this paper, the power swings associated with the large power-flow change following contingent faults are analyzed by means of a transient network analyzer. It is found that the proposed system modification could be realized without any harmful power swing if the parameters in generators as well as in control devices have conventional magnitudes. It is shown also by simulations that the margin to occurrence in an unstable power swing is left sufficient even if the parameters deviate somewhat from the present magnitudes.  相似文献

Cold-rolling texture and partially recrystallized texture of polycrystalline 3 pct Si-Fe were investigated using high-resolution electron backscattered diffraction (EBSD) method. From the measurement on a deformed grain with {211}〈011〉∼{111}〈011〉 orientations, deformation bands with {12 4 1}〈014〉 orientation were found. It turned out that the orientation rotation relationship between deformation bands and surrounding deformed grain can be explained by the activation of the slip system, which has a common slip plane with an adjacent grain. Oriented nucleation of recrystallized grains with {12 4 1}〈014〉 orientation was observed in a deformed grain with {211}〈011〉∼{111}〈011〉 orientation. Exactly the same orientation relationship that was observed between deformed grain and the deformation bands was also observed between the deformed grain and the recrystallized grain. A hypothesis that recrystallization nuclei are generated directly from the deformation bands formed by an activation of the slip system that has a common slip plane of neighboring deformed grains was proposed from the present experimental results.  相似文献

The islets of Langerhans are richly innervated, and an inhibitory effect on insulin secretion, mediated through alpha 2-adrenergic receptors, appears to be an important physiological neural modulator of beta-cell function. An alpha 2-receptor was cloned from isolated newborn rat islets using a polymerase chain reaction (PCR) approach. This receptor was shown by sequencing to be a new rat alpha 2-receptor very similar to the human alpha 2-C2 receptor. No other alpha 2-receptor subtype was identified in normal islets by the PCR using alpha 2-receptor primers. This was also the only alpha 2-receptor subtype present in the exocrine pancreas and liver. In contrast, in the beta-cell line, beta TC3, the alpha 2-C2 receptor was not detected, but the alpha 2-C4 and alpha 2-C10 receptor subtypes were detected. It is suggested that the alpha 2-C2 subtype may be the principal alpha 2-receptor mediating inhibitory autonomic nervous system activity in the gastrointestinal tract. A comparison of the rat islet, pancreas, and liver alpha 2-receptor sequences reported here with previously reported alpha 2-receptor sequences indicates that the rat islet alpha 2-receptor is not the rat alpha 2-C2 homologue previously denoted as RNG alpha 2, but is a new, fourth rat subtype with an even higher similarity to the human alpha 2-C2 receptor.  相似文献

Metal-organic chemical vapor deposition (MOCVD) performance is optimized for growing titanium dioxide (TiO2) thin films. Different gas flow directions and susceptor rotation, along with reactor geometry and shape variations are considered. Gravity proves to be an important parameter in changing the flow pattern in the reaction chamber. However, since film uniformity is not improved by changing the flow direction, modifying the reactor geometry is also proposed. Among the different geometrical parameters, the susceptor-inlet distance, inlet tube diameter, and susceptor size are considered. To minimize the occurrence of recirculation cells in the reaction chamber, modifications in the reactor shape are also suggested. Although diagnosis of neurally mediated syncope (NMS) using head-up tilt (HUT) test has been established, the exact mechanism of NMS has not yet been elucidated. We evaluated beta and alpha-adrenergic function in NMS patients by pharmacological autonomic function test. The alpha-adrenergic sensitivity of NMS patients was significantly lower than that of control subjects. The patients who need low dose isoproterenol for provocation of syncope showed higher beta-adrenergic sensitivity than patients who developed syncope without isoproterenol. Thus, pharmacological autonomic function test was useful for evaluation of NMS patients.  相似文献

The effects of vitamin B6 (B6) deficiency on cytokine levels and proportions of lymphocyte subsets in BALB/c mice were investigated. The proportion of lymphocytes from the thymus and spleen of mice given no B6, that were CD4+ CD8- T cells, was larger than in mice given B6, and the ratio of CD8+ to CD4+ T cells in the thymus of mice given no B6 was lower. The concentrations of interleukin-5 and -10 in spleen cells stimulated in vitro with concanavalin A were significantly higher in the mice with B6 deficiency, as was their plasma corticosterone concentrations. These results suggested that B6 is necessary to maintain cytokine levels and lymphoid function in the thymus and spleen of mice.  相似文献

The catalytic activity of LaCoO3–-based mixed oxides for the oxidative coupling of methane has been tested by TPR and cyclic reaction. Characterization has been done by XRD, TGA and Mössbauer spectrometry. It is likely that the perovskite-crystal structure containing hypervalent metal ions has an important role and that unique structural oxygen species in the perovskite contribute to the partial oxidation of methane.  相似文献

Salvia leucophylla, a shrub observed in coastal south California, produces several volatile monoterpenoids (camphor, 1,8-cineole, -pinene, -pinene, and camphene) that potentially act as allelochemicals. The effects of these were examined using Brassica campestris as the test plant. Camphor, 1,8-cineole, and -pinene inhibited germination of B. campestris seeds at high concentrations, whereas -pinene and camphene did not. Root growth was inhibited by all five monoterpenoids in a dose-dependent manner, but hypocotyl growth was largely unaffected. The monoterpenoids did not alter the sizes of matured cells in either hypocotyls or roots, indicating that cell expansion is relatively insensitive to these compounds. They did not decrease the mitotic index in the shoot apical region, but specifically lowered mitotic index in the root apical meristem. Moreover, morphological and biochemical analyses on the incorporation of 5-bromo-2-deoxyuridine into DNA demonstrated that the monoterpenoids inhibit both cell-nuclear and organelle DNA synthesis in the root apical meristem. These results suggest that the monoterpenoids produced by S. leucophylla could interfere with the growth of other plants in its vicinity through inhibition of cell proliferation in the root apical meristem.  相似文献

S-menthyloxycarbonylmethyl l- and d-cysteines were prepared by the reaction of l- or d-cysteine and (?)-menthyl chloroacetate in liquid ammonia and were then polymerized to poly(S-menthyloxycarbonylmethyll- and d-cysteines) by the N-carboxyanhydride (NCA) method. From the results obtained by means of infra-red spectra, X-ray diffractions, optical rotatory dispersions (o.r.d.), and circular dichroisms (c.d.), poly(S-menthyloxycarbonylmethyl-l-cysteine) was found to be a right-handed α-helix in the solid state and in ethyl ether/chloroform and chloroform solutions. Similarly, poly(S-menthyloxycarbonylmethyl-d-cysteine) was a left-handed α-helix. The helix-coil transition of these polymers was observed in the vicinity of 3–4% trifluoroacetic acid (TFA) in chloroform/TFA mixtures.  相似文献
